There is a very real hell that people go to for everlasting punishment (Matthew 13:41-42, Matthew 13:49-50, Matthew 25:41, Matthew 25:46).

I agree with the punishment, but calling it everlasting punishment isn't completely accurate. The Greek
word is aion and it simply means an age. So what Jesus was actually telling them was the evil lawless ones
would be cast outside of the Kingdom of God and they would be angry (gnashing their teeth) because they
couldn't enter in the Kingdom, because they refused to believe in the Son of God during their lifetime. So
God would put them in outer darkness (meaning outside the Kingdom) where they would be unable to enjoy
the blessings of the Kingdom for that Age. In Luke 13:26-28, Jesus says,

26 Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and
You taught in our streets’; 27 and He will say, ‘I tell you, I do not know
where you are from; depart from Me, all you evildoers.’ 28 There will be
weeping and gnashing of teeth there when you see Abraham and Isaac
and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves
being cast out.”

In essence, there will be believers and unbelievers that will be outside of the Kingdom mad about their
situation, because they refused their judgement in the house of God. Now they will have to go the long
way around to get to the Promised Land, just like Israel did in their wilderness journey.

Depending on their situation, most will take the long way, but all will eventually make it into the Kingdom.
In their outer darkness experience, they will eventually learn the nature and character of Jesus Christ, which
is, LOVE!!!

God will give them another chance, because of His character and His nature, but they will still have to learn
through their trials and tribulations, that will release them from the fiery furnace, that God has established for
their purification.

Why do we want to serve God now? So we can be used of God in the ages to come to bring about the restoration
of ALL THINGS,
spoken of by the prophets since the world began (Acts 3:21).

What a God! What a Plan!

If that is the case then everlasting life (John 6:47) is not for ever but will only last one aion; and then we perish.

This is no gospel at all.

Believe God's Word!!
God Would Have ALL Men to be Saved!!

2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

1Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. == A stake in the false teaching Calvinism's heart!
Will we choose to believe God's inspired(God breathed) eternal living Word or little men's ideas and opinions??

Due to King James translating that word "everlasting" is incorrect. Many come to the same conclusion
that you have come to also. The Greek word is aion. It simply means and age. So the scripture should
be translated like this,

47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believes on me
has everlasting life.

47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believes on me
has age abiding life.
Now you might say, what is the difference? The difference is time! What do you mean? Let me explain.
Everlasting life or eternal life means there is no more time. God created time for His people to repent.
The purpose of the ages is to give His people time to change their minds and accept their savior, in
which, they will be saved from the Lake of Fire.
Everlasting or eternal life has no time, because that will begin at the end of time, when all the people
will be reconciled (made friendly), and there will be no more need for time, because all will be changed
and in the Kingdom of God. Thus, eternal life.
My point is, Jesus is going to give us age abiding life, so we can go out and complete the great commission.
He created this age and the next age, which is the greater age, to go into all of the world and preach the
gospel ( the Good News), that Jesus Christ has covered the sins of the whole world!
No, we want live just one age and die, but we will live in all the ages, even until the end of time. Paul
said in 1st Corinthians 2:9,
9 For it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man, the things
which God has prepared for them that love him.
God has prepared these ages for us also, so we can be the ones that bring our families and other families
into the Kingdom of God during these ages. WOW, what a plan!!!
What a God! What a Plan!

Hebrews 9:26-27 Otherwise, Christ would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27Just as man is appointed to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28so also Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await Him.…

everlasting has to do with the length of time; whereas it is only the word eternal that has to do with the absence of time.

If we only have age-abiding life; and not eternal and/or everlasting life: then life ends for all, even to those whom God has promised everlasting life...all of God's creation will perish (cease to exist) after one aion.

This is no gospel at all.

It also makes for the concept of a God who isn't love. For didn't God create us because He is love and wanted to have people to be recipients of that love?

We do have eternal life after the ages have been completed. Everlasting implies that it is an on going
process that never ends, thus Eternal.

If we want to understand what God is really saying, then we need to use the right translation, so we can
realize what God is revealing to us. Ephesians 2:7 says,

7 That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches
of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

God will use these ages that he created, to show us how he will reconcile the whole creation. Most people
can't comprehend the Love that God has for his people. He will do what it takes to bring all back into his
Kingdom. Now... that is the gospel (the Good News)! Notice Paul said, the "EXCEEDING RICHES" of his
grace. So God is going to give us an abundance of favor in the ages to come. In other words, our eyes and
ears shall be opened unto the mercies of God.

When it is all over, we will have no more need for time, so we will then enter into Eternal Life! Eph. 1:10
says,

10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might
gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in
heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

What a God! What a Plan!
