You appear to confuse the scope with the specifics. Perhaps verses 1-3 are the scope; and verses 4-8 are the details?

And the same thing for verses 7-10, and verses 11-15.

Did you think everything was chronological?
Bobby Jo

I understand your point about Revelation is not in Chronological order but we are talking about 2 sources of prophesies. The Book of Zechariah with the Book of Revelations.

When Zechariah 14:1-5 cites that the Lord is coming with the saints touching down on the Mount of Olives to do battle with the world's armies amassing on Jerusalem, then I read Revelation 20:1-6 having the resurrection of just those saints coming out of the great tribulation as happening after Satan is in the pit, which means the battle is over and Christ Jesus is on the earth for that resurrection rather than meeting them in the air.

Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things which you have not known.

So remain ignorant. We all choose.

And I said you don't have to buy a book. Simply follow the premise, but you're too lazy, or too -- I forgot the word -- ...

I think you're still confusing the 20:1-3 overview, with the 4-6 details. As such when Jesus returns with HIS martyred saints, ALL THREE (including the angels) will participate in the battle against satan.

Alternately, GOD's Word is too confusing for us to understand, and HE's wasted not only HIS time and effort, but also ours. -- Uhhhh, NO!

READ THE PSALMS for yourself. I already told you not to believe men, but to TRY THE SPIRITS and see of they are of GOD.

But if you're too lazy or too unintelligent, -- then let your HIRELING do your thinking for you ...

I've read the Psalms multitude times.. what hireling are you talking about? Is this some kind of secret code talk?

... and I would suppose you've also read other passages in Scripture. Of course you missed what the literal text said, versus the contortions/distortions from the "translation" and/or commentator/pulpit.

And if you can't get the simple stuff, please don't attempt the complex. -- Thinking may make your head hurt so be happy, because: Ignorance is BLISS!

To All,

There's no REQUIREMENT to understand ANYTHING more about Scripture than the fact that Jesus saves us from our sins, and that we should love our neighbor as ourselves. However, GOD provides ADDITIONAL text for more than Saving our Soul. HE provides various aspects which improve our Daily Walk with HIM and those around us, -- which includes warnings for present and future calamities which we should anticipate and possibly avoid.

But if someone is content in their ignorance, then let them experience various travails first hand:

Rev. 18:4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,
“Come out of her, my people,
lest you take part in her sins,
lest you share in her plagues;

Hosea 4:6,

Do you hate everyone or just people who don't agree with you? I missed what the literal text said? How would you know? I don't think? How would you know? Really, get off your high horse.

To All,

I typically do not assert that which I cannot defend. So when I claim that the "translations" butcher Scripture -- I'm MORE than willing to provide HEBREW (and as appropriate, HISTORICAL) citations which REFUTE the English text. And when I accuse the commentators/pastors of inadequately-presenting/misrepresenting what the Scriptures say, -- AGAIN I'm MORE than willing to provide citations/examples.

And finally, when people who claim to be Christians don't understand what the Scriptures say, -- I'm more than willing to either explain how they can CORRECTLY assess what the literal HEBREW text provides, OR perfectly willing to let them discover on their own AFTER IT'S TOO LATE:

Experience is the WORSE teacher, because it gives you the TEST before giving you the LESSON!

And concerning the Prophetic Psalms, some would rather be blind, than to make an informed decision.

We all choose,
Bobby Jo

Are you familiar with the book "Hidden Prophecies In The Psalms", by J.R. Church, -- now deceased, but former Co-Host of the TV program "Prophecy In The News"?

There's your year.
Bobby Jo

PS You don't have to buy the book. Simply follow the premise!

... and I don't know what you need to drink your milk from (bottle/sippy-cup/glass), but I could "masticate" (pre-chew) some of the meat for you. Please get back to when you have teeth! :)

Heb. 5:12 ... you need some one to teach you again the first principles of God’s word. You need milk, not solid food; 13 for every one who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a child.

Lol, you have explained exactly nothing. What premise? No one who hasn't read the book has a clue what you are even arguing for.

To All,

Re: The Prophetic Psalms

I've cited multiple times that in ~1985 J.R. Church, co-host of the Christian TV Show "Prophecy In The News", published a book titled "Hidden Prophecies In the Psalms". The premise is not from J.R. Church himself, but rather from the Christian views who wrote into his Ministry to share that this 19th Book of the Bible appears to be Prophetic for the 1900's, -- Chapter for year --, such that Book 19 Chapter 44 = 1944 Holocaust:

Psalms 44
11 Thou hast made us like sheep for slaughter, ...
22 Nay, for thy sake we are slain all the day long,
and accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

... Book 19, Chapter 48 = 1948 International Recognition of the State of Israel:

Psalms 48
4 For lo, the kings assembled,
they came on together.
5 As soon as they saw it, they were astounded,
they were in panic, they took to flight;
6 trembling took hold of them there,
anguish as of a woman in travail.
7 By the east wind thou didst shatter
the ships of Tarshish.
8 As we have heard, so have we seen
in the city of the Lord of hosts,
in the city of our God,
which God establishes for ever.Selah

... Book 19, Chapter 91 = 1991 Desert Storm:

Psalms 91
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand;
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the recompense of the wicked.

But who will RECEIVE a WORD from the LORD, -- certainly not the "religious":

Luke 20:1 One day, as he was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes with the elders came up 2 and said to him, “Tell us by what authority you do these things, or who it is that gave you this authority.” 3 He answered them, “I also will ask you a question; now tell me, 4 Was the baptism of John from heaven or from men?” 5 And they discussed it with one another, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why did you not believe him?’ 6 But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us; for they are convinced that John was a prophet.” 7 So they answered that they did not know whence it was. 8 And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

So the next question is:

Where is the SHORTEST Chapter in ALL Scripture?
Where is the MIDDLE Chapter in ALL Scripture?
Where is the LONGEST Chapter in ALL Scripture?
What Chapter is EXACTLY 70 years after Psalms 48 (per the J.R. Church premise)?

Coincidental, -- or by DESIGN?

Apparently you don't have internet service, otherwise you could have looked up the book, -- and the premise --, on AMAZON.

Oh good grief it's even worse than I thought. This is as bad as 86 reasons why the world has to end in 1986. Do you remember that one?
Let's take random numbers and just speculate wildly.

To All,

The Body of Christ is the Church. And no one person receives a WORD from GOD, without others. Elijah wasn't alone, there were 7,000 others with him (1 Kings 20). And so too, when multiple viewers of "Prophecy In The News" wrote to the co-host, J.R. Church, it was through the giftings of the Church. And although some SCOFF, others may DISCOVER.

Per the OP, another one of the signs of the Tribulation (end-times) is given:

2 Pet. 3:3 First of all you must understand this, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own passions
