The Book of Revelation, Understood?

Now we come to the two people who ministry span the forty two months or three and a half years
Revelation 11:3 "And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
a thousand two hundred and threescore days is exactly 42 months or 3 1/2 years, the exact length, or measure of the Lord Jesus and John the Baptist ministry. And the POWER that fueled this ministry is God himself the Holy Spirit. Scripture, John 3:34 "For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him”. John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth”. but was not John “sent” from God, notice not “sent” by god, but from God. John 1:6 "There was a man sent from God, whose name was John”. john was GOD sent, GOD taught and John was commission from heaven by God, and not of men,(see Matthew 21:25). so our two witness are John the Baptist and the lord Jesus the christ whom we will prove by the scriptures, later in this chapter.

Cloths in sackcloth, meaning preaching repentance. sackcloth means penitence. and the definition of penitence is the action of feeling or showing sorrow and regret for having done wrong; repentance. the first thing out of John the Baptist mouth, "REPENT". Scripture, Matthews 3:1 "In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, 2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight". now the Lord Jesus, Scripture, Matthews 4:16 "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand". so we have the two witness, John and the Lord Jesus. But lets go on.


Revelation 11:4 "These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth".
Zechariah 4:2 "And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of
gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are
upon the top thereof. 3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the
left side thereof. 4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord? 5
Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said,
No, my lord. 6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel,
saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts". Here Jesus is confirm as one of
the two witness, How?. not by his might, or power, but by, "MY spirit". wait a minute, I thought God is a Spirit.
so who is this, "spirit"?. any time one sees small case spirit, it either a man or another spirit, an angel. Not by
might, nor by power, (meaning not by dunamis power), but by his spirit, small case spirit. meaning a man with
God's authority, the exousia power, or his anointed. and it is two olive trees that is anointed with himself, THE
HOLY SPIRIT. so clearly the man, Jesus, is one of the two witness. lets see if this anointing is with God.
Zechariah 4:11 "Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the
candlestick and upon the left side thereof?. 12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two
olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? 13 And he
answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 14 Then said he, These are
the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth". now from olive trees, to olive branches so
clearly, God spirit, small case, is the man Jesus, who is God, his Intrinsic spatial, or the manifestation of God shared in flesh. you have heard of the word, spatial, if not look up the word, Intrinsic. in order to get a full understanding of who this spirit, "of" God is. The "of", tell you who he is. Now we know for a fact that the Lord Jesus the MAN, NOT THE SPIRIT HIMSELF, but , "OF" God, his (Intrinsic spatial), is that witness. now, with that knowledge, that just bring John into the picture even more. because he witness to that CANDLESTICK. I suggest a re-reading of Zechariah chapters 3, & 4 to get a good picture of the two witness. Lets recap. The angel that spoke with Zechariah said that the two Olive trees are the two anointed ones. Let’s see who was anointed by God, and God anoints with his Spirit. A. we know that the Lord Jesus, born as a man was anointed from birth. Was John born with the Spirit.B. Luke 1:13-15 "But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb”. at that time the only two men who was Spiritually alive to God was John and the Lord Jesus. Both had the Spirit from birth.

Revelation 11:5 "And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
Many Christians and others, think that the fire out of the witness mouth is actual physical fire. No, scripture, Jeremiah 5:14 "Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them”. if one would read that 5th chapter of Jeremiah, one will see who this fire, the word of God devoured. It was false prophets. And the word of God exposed then for who they was and are, so did the Lord Jesus burned them, (the false prophets) up, by the word of God out of his mouth. John also had a fiery mouth, the truth, which made him a martyr also. And please note: a martyr is also called a “witness”. this is the manner, in which, they will be killed. By the truth, the word of GOD, will the false prophets will be killed, and like wise by telling the truth the word of God these witness will be killed, literally. This fulfills the scripture, Genesis 3:15 "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel”

So the “FIRE” out of the prophets mouth is not literal.

This is where many a Christian, and most scholars, (not all), and some here on the forum, get it wrong in assuming the the two witness are Moses and Elijah, and or Enoch. That is not what the bible says. but lets see what the bible really say as to who the two witness are. if what we post today is true, (which I believe it is), then our outlook on eschatology must change. starting with the true Idenity of the two witness here today.
Revelation 11:6 "These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will".
these two?, who have POWER?, these two also in their "day" prophesied?. so clearly by what theses, these, these, prophets did in their "Day" was great signs and wonders, and these things as to what God did on their behalf allude to them being identified as Moses, and Elijah. This is where many a christian get lost at when it come to the identity of the two witness. we will look at the power these two witness have, and let the scriptures themselves answer this question for us. The term”power” here is the Greek term, G1849 ἐξουσία exousia (e-xou-siy'-a) n. and not G1411 δύναμις dunamis (d̮ï '-na-mis) n. where the MIGHT is, (which is with God). but G1849 ἐξουσία exousia is the authority, privilege, permission, the right to do something. This is one of the first steps in identifying the two witness. “have power", A. to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of his prophecy. this is in reference to Elijah, but is it the man himself, Elijah, here in Revelation? NO. B. “have power" over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues. this is in reference to Moses, but is it the man himself Moses, here in Revelation? NO. But are they, the two witness, these two men? Again No, only the similarities to theses two men are “COMPARED”. We know without a doubt that John the Baptist is one of the two witness, and here's how we know this. Coming down from the mount of the transfiguration, the Lord’s disciples asked him a question. Scripture, Matthew 17:10-13 "And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias, (Elijah), must first come? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist”. so John the Baptist is the Elijah to come, and had already came according to our Lord. Now a question for you, “can the Lord Jesus lie?” no of course not, so Elijah had come, which was John the baptist, HOW? in spirit and in power of Elijah and not Elijah the man himself. how did John come as Elijah. Let the scripture speak, Luke 1:17 "And he, (John the Baptist), shall go before him, (the Lord Jesus the christ), in the spirit and power of Elias, (BINGO, there it is), to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord”. we suggest that many re-read this verse again). in the spirit is the ways, or character of Elijah. For John wore a hairy coat, and ate honey and locusts, like Elijah. Matthew 3:4 "And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins, (as did Elijah), and his meat was locusts and wild honey”. so John was the forerunner to the Lord Jesus as the prophet Elijah, scripture, Malachi 4:5 & 6 "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse” now once again Luke 1:17 "And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord”. these are identical verses almost to the tee. Without a doubt the prophet John is the Elijah to come, IN SPIRIT, AND IN POWER, not the man himself. Just a couple more scriptures to put the icing on the cake. Mark 1:2 "As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee”. we know that it is the prophet Elijah, who is John the Baptist, in spirit and in power, but were in the scriptures is this written? Answer, Malachi 3:1 "Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts”

by now one must began to learn and to know who this witness is?, John the baptist, as said by the witter of the book of John, he tells us that the Baptist is this witness. John 1:6 "There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. Verse 7 "The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe”. verse 8 "He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light". so John is one of the witness.

Now what about the Lord Jesus?.

Here are some compiled similarities between the Lord Jesus the Christ and the prophet Moses.
1. both have a close relationship with God. Moses a face to face Physical (human) meeting. Jesus a
Spiritual Face to face. John 1:18 "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the
bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

2. both were ordained by God to deliver his people from bondage. Moses Physical bondage, the Lord Jesus
Spiritual bondage

3. both Moses and the Lord Jesus were saved from certain death when they were small children, while most
other Israelite male children of the same age and place of birth were murdered.

4. both the Lord Jesus and Moses refused the possibility to become rulers in their age. Satan offered Jesus the
rule over the kingdoms of this world (Matthew 4:8-9), but Jesus rejected that offer and chose to suffer and die
for the sake of the people of the world. Moses acted in a similar manner; he had been raised as a son in a royal
family, and he could have had a lavish lifestyle, but he chose differently. he suffered for the people sake.

5. both the Lord Jesus and Moses were "called out of Egypt".

6. both Moses and the Lord Jesus interceded for Israel, not allowing the destruction of the nation

7. both the Lord Jesus and Moses "mediated" between Israel, (now the church), and the true God.

8. both the Lord Jesus and Moses were Lawgivers. Moses the carnal Law of Stone. Jesus the Spiritual Law of the
heart.

9.both had water connections. The Nile (water) into blood/red. Water into wine/red, (for blood)

10. both died, and no man knows where their GRAVE are.

11. both had mother who was not their biological mothers.

12. both talked to God on mountains tops.

this is just a few, their are many more. By now, again one should have the understanding of who the two witness are. and as we go on it becomes clearer, and clearer as to who these two witness are.

Conclusion: the two witness are the Lord Jesus and John the Baptist. The Gospel, (the Lord Jesus), and Baptism, (John the Baptist, are still in the earth witnessing even today. the "GREAT COMMISSION", Matthew 28:18 "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. verse 19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: verse 20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen".

Revelation 11:7 "And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them".
Notice when they “Finish”, their “Witness”,. Testimony here is the greek word, G3141 μαρτυρία marturia (mar-tï-riy'-a) n.
evidence given (judicially or genitive case).

So doing those days of testimony, these two witness was authorize by GOD, to give evidence, or a witness until their work was complete . Their witness is on authority from God, remember verse 3 “And I will give power unto my two witnesses”. John’s authority was from God as well as the Lord Jesus, while in the temple the the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders asked Jesus concerning his authority and we get more understanding of John‘s authority, supportive scripture, Mark 11:28 "And say unto him, by what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things? Verse 29 "And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. Verse 30 "The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me. Verse 31 "And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him? Verse 32 "But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed”.

so, John the baptist and the Lord Jesus Christ, after the 3 and 1/2 years of their witness will be killed, literally. John, by the hands of Herod, so called the great. Matthew 14:3-12 "For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife. For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her. And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet. But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod. Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask. And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger. And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her. And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison. And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother. And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus”.

The Lord Jesus, by the hands of Herod Antipas, (his faithful Martyr, according to the Letter to the church in Pergamos in chapter 2 verse 13), and Pontius Pilate the governor of Judea, who had the power of crucifixion . John 18:37-40 "Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews? Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber”. so the beast was not just the nationality of Rome, but the ruling Jews also. the one’s in power and authority. The mixed toes of iron and clay.

“the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them”.
The bottomless pit as said, has no bounds for the carnal mind to go, it will do anything, even to kill. Thus the carnal mind is called a beast for its filthiness and cruelty, when influence by the devil. The scriptures said to ascend out of the bottomless pit, lets make this clear, this “ascend” is actually a “rising” up in the carnal mind. Lets see it in scriptures. Romans 1:21 "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened”. here the Greek word for imaginations is G1261 διαλογισμός dialogismos (d̮iy-a-lo-ǰiyz-mos') n. it means, discussion, dispute, reasoning, or thought

If one look up the word it means 1. the faculty or action of forming new ideas, or images or concepts of external objects not present to the senses. the ability of the mind to be creative or resourceful.

2. The faculty or action of forming new ideas, or images or concepts of external objects not present to the senses,
as in Delusion, intelligence, shine, or appetite.

3. Something created or imagined in the mind. as invention, doctrine, origination, design, pattern, planning, and thinking.

when the devil “arises”, or “ascends” in our thoughts, every “imaginations” of EVIL in our thoughts are brought forth, as here “to kill”.

The working of Satan is evil, as said the devil bring out the worst in us. As the old saying states, “An idle mind is the devil's playground, or workshop”. here in this verse the devil arises in the mind of men to kill, or make war. The book of James gives us good details on this.

Revelation 11:8 "And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified".
dead bodies shall lie in the street is a representative symbol of a violent death. our slang today, street violence. John beheaded, the Lord Jesus crucified., violent deaths.

The Great city called Sodom and Egypt spiritually is none other than Jerusalem, (who kills the prophets), and "WHERE OUR LORD WAS CRUCIFIED", that's Jerusalem. in Revelation 18:10 "Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come”. here, the code name for Jerusalem. in Revelation 17:18 "And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth”.

The “GREAT CITY” is Jerusalem.

Revelation 11:9 "And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves".
“the people and kindreds and tongues and nations”. many people from around the known world was in Jerusalem during this time, of the crucifixion, they was there, or arrived for Pentecost. this is brought out on the road to Emmaus, which explain this to us. Luke 24:13 "And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs. Verse 14 "And they talked together of all these things which had happened. Verse 15 "And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. Verse 16 "But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. Verse 17 "And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad? Verse 18 "And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days? Verse 19 "And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: verse 20 "And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him. Verse 21 "But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done”.

here, from this conversation, we see that there was a lot of people in Jerusalem From around the known world there. Other words how he could not know about the Crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth. So yes, the whole known world was there during the time of the Crucifixion. Just read your commentaries on this verse.

Just a few scriptures to help us understand, Acts 2:5 "And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Verse 6 "Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. Verse 7 "And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? Verse 8 "And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Verse 9 "Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and verse 10 "Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes”. some there for Pentecost was from, Cyrene, scripture, Mark 15:21 "And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross”. so was he there for Pentecost and was caught up in the crowd? I don't know for sure, but people from around the known world was in Jeruslam during this time.

so NO, no CNN news cameras was there, nor will be there for this has already happen.

"Proper burial". Neither John nor the Lord Jesus was not given proper burials. they both was rushed jobs. hence the reason why they came to the tomb early that morning togive a proper burial. but he had arisen.

Revelation 11:10 "And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth".
The Jews and they who are evil with them, (the Romans), rejoice over their death. And the Jewish leaders paid hush money, (gifts), to the roman guards for their silence, supportive scriptures, Matthew 28:11 "Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. verse 12 "And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money, (gifts), unto the soldiers, verse 13 "Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. Verse 14 "And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. Verse 15 "So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day”.

Revelation 11:11 "And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them".
Not the Lord Jesus for he rose after three days, here it’s three and a half day rising, scripture, Matthew 27:50 "Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. Verse 51 "And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; verse 52 "And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, verse 53 "And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Verse 54 "Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God".

GINOLJC, to all. We will finish up chapter 11 in two parts

Revelation 11:12 "And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them".
This coming up is the Lord Jesus himself, ascending up to heaven from where he was before, is within the same hour of the great earthquake where a tenth part of the city fell, and seven thousand were slain, (in the next verse #13). What do all this mean?, lets take this revelation of scripture apart piece by piece.

#1. “the command to come up hither”. this is the Lord Jesus ascension back to heaven, supportive scripture, John 3:13 "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven”. but HOLD IT, did not the verse said they ascended?, YES, so did the bible lie if only the Lord Jesus ascended? Of course not. So what do it means when the scriptures say “they” ascended up to heaven?. answer, it is symbolic of association. what do we mean? were we not buried with Christ and rose as he did? Lets see it. Romans 6:4 "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Verse 5 "For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness (LIKENESS) of his resurrection”. (BINGO). so, are we seated in heaven in HIM? Lets see it, Ephesians 2:6 "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus”: NOTICE “IN” CHRIST JESUS. Not on your, or our own, but “IN” him. When he ascended all “in” him ascended, and is seated in him heavenly places. THAT’S WHAT THE BIBLE CALLS “ASSOCIATION”. for even in DEATH we’re his, Supportive scripture, Romans 14:9 "For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living”.

All things are in the son’s hands, meaning he is the God of the Living as well as the dead. so the dead in christ is coming with him in association when he return. and by association of those in him, will he RAISE, 1 Thessalonians 4:13 "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope verse 14 "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. (God?, meaning in spirit, which returns to God who gave it, Ecclesiastes 3:21.) Verse 15 "For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. Verse 16 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (BINGO, there it is, "the dead IN Christ). verse 17 "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Verse 18 "Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Note: those “IN” christ, association. for there is two resurrection, the first those "in" christ, then the final judgment, the general resurrection of the dead that are not in christ, which will makes a good topic to start.

#2. “And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud”. this is simple, Acts 1:9 "And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight”. remember this is taking place within the same hour, not a literal hour, but within a God hour.

#3. “and their enemies beheld them”. What bothered me the most was these enemies that beheld him when he ascended. But God give us the answer in his Word. Scripture, John 6:53 "Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Verse 54 "Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 "For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. Verse 56 "He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. Verse :57 "As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. Verse 58 "This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. Verse 59 "These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. (HERE COMES THE ENEMIES PART). verse :60 "Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? Verse :61 "When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured (HOLD IT, WHO MURMURED? YES HIS OWN DISCIPLES), at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? Verse 62 "What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? (BINGO). verse 63 "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. verse 64 "But there are some of you that believe not". (THERE THE ENEMIES, NOT IN FIGHT, BUT IN IGNORANCE), For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, (because of Ignorance, hence the opening of theirs minds), and who should betray him. VERSE 65 "And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father”. (BINGO).

This is bared out in Acts 1:21 which showed that many beside his chosen 12 was with them. "Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, verse 22 "Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection”. so some that couldn’t bear the hard saying and his disciples that murmured was at his ascension. (BINGO), the verse is fulfilled, “and their enemies beheld them”.

So, NO, the CHURCH is not RAPTURED out.

Revelation 11:13 "And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven".
The same hour, meaning what has happen in the above scripture. Within the same hour of God time, Confusion/a great earthquake. The Holy Ghost fell on the disciples, and there was a confusion, as to what has happen, scripture. Acts 2:6 "Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, (there’s that earthquake), because that every man heard them speak in his own language. Verse 7 "And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? Verse 8 "And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?” that word, “CONFOUNDED” in verse 6 is the Greek word, G4797 συγχέω sugcheo (sïng-che'-ō) v. συγχύνω sugchuno (sïng-chï '-nō)

The KJV can translate the word “confuse”, and as definition #2 states, (figuratively), disorder, to perplex (the mind). so symbolically or figuratively the term earthquake means “confusion”, (BINGO). Acts 5:14 "And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)”. seven thousand “men” was “slain?”, not literally, but baptized, which shows “DEATH”. again “ASSOCIATION” scripture, Acts 2:41 "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls”. ok 3,000 now this, Acts 4:4 "Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand”. HOLD IT, that’s eight thousand. Yes, but the word said, “of men seven thousand”. Yes, so throw in a thousand “of women”, then you have your amount.

Meaning to the Good, the bad, and the ugly, (meaning conduct). Scripture, Psalms 68:18 "Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them”. (BINGO). in another topic a posters did say that God gave his spirit to the unjust. Well Psalms 68:18 just justified that poster.

Revelation 11:14 "The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly".

Thy kingdom come and thy will be done as it is in heaven as it is in earth, the start of the 1,000 year reign,
Matthew 24:38 "For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 "And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. So the wicked was removed from the face of the earth.

Revelation 11:16 "And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God",
Only the elders worshipped the Lord Jesus in the highest praise, for he is worthy to be praise.

Revelation 11:17 "Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned".
Hold it!. Lord God …. “Almighty?” he hast “TAKEN?”. as John was commanded to take the book in chapter 10, here, the Lord Jesus took what was his, and no need to ask for what already was his….. hast reigned, the past tense. Our Lord’s reign began long ago, in our time before the beginning of this world and continued throughout all time. God has never stopped reigning even when he was “diversified” in flesh. Satan and his uses of evil men were used of God in the working out of his wise designs.

Revelation 11:18 "And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth".
Again a glimpse into the future, The “wrath” of God is come, here we’re shown the last resurrection.

Revelation 11:19 "And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail".
Open signify, to know, The symbolism teaches that what was once concealed will be now known unto all men?

As we will see, the book of Revelation is not written in a chronology of times, by chapters, but is written in a chronology of events in each chapters to understand. Here in chapter 12 the birth of Christ. This chapter have been misunderstood for years, many have used this chapter to show, A. war in heaven, (a rebellion). sorry that’s an error on most people part. B. third of the angel fell from heaven, sorry again, another error. Not one “holy” angel fell from heaven, not here in this chapter. the woman, and the red dragon respectfully will be made plain also.

So we will present a chart of the symbolism used here in chapter 12.

Woman = represent a Church, (the remnant of the Nation, Israel, the church in the wilderness)
Dragon = behind, or in a person, be it representative of a political, or religious power. (Satan is always in the background)
Red in this chapter = blood
Stars = messenger, (human, or angelic)
Sun = the Righteousness of God, (which source is in the Gospel of Christ)
Moon = the Righteousness of God, (which source is in the Mosaic Law)

OF A NOTE: keep one hand on Revelation chapter 12 and the other hand on Matthews chapter 2. "The Brith of Christ".

Revelation 12:1 "And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars".
appeared? First thing, take note, all vision given in heaven, do not necessarily means that the event took place in heaven, only seen there in heaven, please understand that. this woman represent all of the nation Israel, who remain faithful to God, the southern tribes, (meaning the remnant). this women represent a church, but is Israel the nation, or the remnant a Church?. YES, Let the Scriptures speak for themselves. Acts 7:37 "This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear. 38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us". there she is, "the church in the wilderness". so Israel was a church, and by representation of this woman is found in the virgin Mary, (of the remnant).

The next key word here is, "wonder", meaning a sign was seen in heaven, but is the action or the wonder taking place in heaven, or on earth?, yes, on the earth. that wonder was a woman, see above, (that gave birth to a child, (flesh), without a man). in those days it was a wonder, (a woman having a child without knowing a man). this woman was clothed with the sun= the clothing of Righteousness. Job 29:14 "I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem”. being clothed in his, (God’s word), she have on his righteousness, the white garment. Israel had been washed white , meaning baptized in the red sea. The red sea means something, washed in blood, (red). so Israel the church was washed in blood, (RED SEA), to have white robes, (a corporate baptism), red symbolizing the blood of Christ which was to come. Moon at her feet = the Mosaic Law, a lesser light. Israel was walking by a dim light, the law. it was a lamp unto her, Israel, feet. Supporting Scriptures, Prov 6:23 "For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life", now, Psalms 119:105 "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”. there it is, “the law was a lamp, (light) at her feet. just as the Sun is a greater light compared to the moon, so is the word of God, (the Gospel) is superior to the Law. The sun is, Malachi 4:1 "For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. Verse 2 "But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall”. BINGO. and upon her head a crown of twelve stars = the place of honor. these 12 stars represent NOT the 12 tribes of Israel, for each tribe had a head, or principle person to lead. but stars here means “messengers”, and God, the Lord Jesus chose 12 “stars”/messengers who later became the 12 apostles, the foundation of “HIS” church, who he, the Lord Jesus is the chief cornerstone, to spread the gospel, as the sun spread is rays all over the earth. The sun, the Glory to come, shine in darkness which is her destiny, meaning taking the gospel to all the world. Supporting scriptures. Matthew 24:14 " And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come”. the sun is on her head, as Jesus is the head of the Church, for he it that light, and a city that is set on a hill, (above). As the prophet Malachi says the Sun of righteousness, in his wings is "HEALING for the Nations.

Revelation 12:2 "And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered”.
if this is the today's church, as many have said and believe, then she is an adulteress church, and that is not going to flying, because the Lord Jesus is coming for a church without a spot or wrinkle. having a baby out of wedlock is a spot and a wrinkle all rolled into one. but, this woman represents the virgin Mary, who is symbolically of the remnant, (the church in the wilderness, see Acts 7:38). but with child by the Holy Spirit, and still married to the Lord Jesus, (which we will show later). so this is Spiritual in begetting., that's the reason why in verse one this was a great wonder.

being the Representative as the virgin who gave birth to a male child without the help of a natural man. this was of God. God brought forth this male child. Scripture Matt 2:6 "And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel".
But the question remains, just who really is this woman. to identify the woman, (this church), lets start where this baby started. scripture, Hebrews 7:14 " For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood”. ok, now we have evidence to follow. he sprang out of Judah. from verse 1, we know that she is a church. next we must find out who was in the wilderness. it was one nation until she split into two kingdoms. the northern 10 tribes, and the two southern tribes of Judah, and Benjamin. so which one is the woman? lets see.
Jeremiah 3:6 " The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot. 7 And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it. 8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also”. we can see clearly that God not only put Israel, (the 10 northern tribes), away, but divorce her. but what about Israel sister Judah?. Isaiah 50:1 " Thus saith the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away”. here we see God did not divorce Judah, only put her away. and if a man put away his wife and not divorce her he can take her back. so clearly there was the remnant that was not in divorcement, but only put away.

The birth pains refer to the whole creation, (including us), in need of redemption by the Messiah. Supportive scripture, Romans 8:22 "For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. Verse 23 "And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body”. for this was foretold, Micah 5:3 "Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel”.

so in conclusion the woman here is Judah, where Mary come from, and our Lord sprang out of her. as the apostle Paul said, “For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda”, Hebrews 7:14. so this church to come was a way to beget children, by being "born again".
So the remnant is this woman symbolically.

Revelation 12:3 "And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads”.
This great dragon is represented symbolically by king Herod, who in the secular world he was called “the great”, for his reconstruction efforts. remember this is symbolic. Of the devil who is a spirit get others to do his dirty work, he just work behind the scenes. red here is symbolic for blood, for this king had much blood on his hands. supporting scriptures, Matt 2:16 "Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men”. he also had the blood of John the baptist on his hands. The ten horns is the power of the Roman Empire, which he, (king Herod), ruled by, (the romans). king Herod authority was supported by that power, the Roman Empire. so clearly he is a bloody, (red), dragon. as said, keep one hand on chapter 12 of revelation, and the other on Matthews chapter 2. this vision John sees is the birth of the Christ, the start of the Church, that the Lord Jesus christ is building.

Revelation 12:4 "And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born”.
The main key here is the word, “tail”, and “of “, as in “of” heaven, and not in heaven, about the stars. stars here is symbolic of men who hold god's written word. stars do not necessary , or automatically means angels. in this verse it means men. those on earth that had heavenly information, or a message, that’s the symbolization used here of, heavenly stars. revelation chapter 12 correspond to the birth of Christ to a tee. Matthews chapter 2 tells how Herod the king tried to kill the baby the Christ. it say that the dragon drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them to earth, this is not a persuasion to follow the dragon, but an attempt by the dragon, (king herod), to use someone to gain heavenly knowledge. it said that his tail “DREW” the THIRD part of the stars of heaven. drew here, means here, "to gather together". so who did king Herod drew, or gathered together? it's the stars or messengers that is (of heaven), that’s on earth, with the heavenly knowledge of where the babe is to be born at. (I'll show this by scripture). Herod the king called/drew, or gathered together unto him his aids, to find out about the new born King, that the wise men came to worship. he wanted to know where the child was born at, so that he may kill the babe, (he stood ready to kill/devour). as said, the word drew, past tense, mean to gather, draw together. king Herod inquired of the men of God, (Heavenly messengers, or Godly men), as to where the babe was born at. lets pick up the account, and see what the "THIRD PART" that he drew with his tail. Matt 2:4 "And when he had gathered all the chief priests,(1 part), and scribes, (2 part), of the people together, (there it is, of the people, not angels in heaven). he demanded of them where Christ should be born". these men was of God, who should know the things of God, and they did. scripture, Matt 2:5 "And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, 6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel". here it is confirm that the babe came out of Judah. Now lets get the third part, the wise men. Matthews 2:7 “ Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, (3 Part), enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared”. There is the third part, or the third of stares, the wise men. the scriptures said that the dragon, drew a third part, “of”, the stars, “of”, heaven. There you have it, a third part of the STARS. lets recap, Matthews 2:4, 1/3 the chief priests, 2/3 the scribes, and the 3/3 the wise men. (BINGO).

see how the wisdom of God work to bring out the correct information. only Lucifer fell, and this was not at chapter 12 here in Revelation. scripture, Isaiah 14:12 " How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! verse 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: verse 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. verse 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit”. Not one holy angels in heaven fell, but Lucifer only, which was before. let God word prove without a doubt that these stars here in chapter 12 are men. Jude1:12 "These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, (there they are), to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever". these stars .... wondering, was false prophets and teachers.... numan men. a reading of the whole chapter will revealed who they are. But lets see them in a few verses. Jude verse 4 "For there are certain “men” crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ”. now verse 11, these same men are describe again, "Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core". so these "stars" are men, on earth, and not angels in heaven.

“and the dragon stood before the woman ready to devoue”. Matthews 2:8 “ And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also”. The word devour here is to kill. scripture: Matt 2:16 "Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men". So we see the real dragon being represented/ or is symbolic in the person of king Herod. And the woman, symbolic of the church in the wilderness, (Judah). And the child born is the male child the Christ, the HEAD of the church, the chief cornerstone. the 3rd of stars was 1 the chief priest, 2 scribes, and 3 the wise men, the THREE PARTS.

So no holy angels fell from heaven, not here.

What Mary bore was flesh, bone, and blood, in the house of David, (the Son of God). This body was prepared by God himself, the Lord Jesus, who is the Holy Spirit. Supportive scripture, Hebrews 10:4 "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Verse 5 "Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me”. and again in Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace”. this child, this son shall “rule” all, …. how many? “ALL” nations. What did Micah 5:2 say about his rule? "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting”.
This son is, (the Son of Man), from of old, from everlasting? ”Spirit". NOT THE FLESH, (Son of Good), but the spirit, Diversified in flesh, "the man Christ", (see Phil 2:7 & 8). for the term used here for “ruler” is the Hebrew word, H4910 מָשַׁל mashal (maw-shal') v.

KJV: (have, make to have) dominion, governor, X indeed, reign, (bear, cause to, have) rule(-ing, -r), have power.

The KJV can translate the word “RULER” as “GOVERNOR". there is only one “Governor”, and that’s the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. Supportive scripture, Psalms 22:28 "For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations”. (BINGO), the LORD, God almighty is the “GOVERNOR” of the Nations. And the Lord Jesus the christ is this “RULER”/”GOVERNOR”, of the nations, God almighty himself, “diversified”, in flesh. This is the INCARNATION, (BINGO). There is no doubt, God, diversified in flesh, better know as the “ARM” of God in flesh is this "Governor".

“a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron”, remember the Letter to the church Thyatira? Revelation 2:26 "And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: verse 27 "And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. "and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne". the Key word here is "child", and note the Greek word for a male child (son which is, G5207, huios). meaning he was “caught up” or have come in POWER, of the Spirit". to take or choose unto himself a people. Lets examine this word, "caught up", G726 ἁρπάζω harpazo (har-pad'-zo) v. where many get the idead of the church raptured out, NO, NOT here.

The KJV can translate the word as “escape”. so the question, “escape from what?” answer, the things of the world that can entrap a christian. and for some even in leadership, as here in 2 Peter. scripture, 2 Peter 2:20 "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. these are those what had escape the cares of this world. Yet HAD NO ROOTS, as the sower parable express, the weeds choked them out. And this is the reason why the church fled/escape into the wilderness. So what do the wilderness means? Wilderness simply means “isolation”, which result in “separation”. a return to the simple things in life. the church is to separate herself from the world. 1 Corinthians 10:21 "Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils”. and 2 Corinthians 6:14 "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? REVELATION TIME. “who asked us, the church, to come out from among them?”, answer the Lord, the almighty. Once more, notice the title, the “Lord”, who is the almighty.

“they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days”. They here are the two witness, but after John’s death, it is the Lord Jesus who is the God of his sheep, meaning the GOOD SHEPHERD, (see John 10:1-18. he feeds his church).

God has had, and will have a church in the worst of times in this world, (even where Satan seat is at, see rev 2:13). as he reserved a number in Elijah's time, and fed his people in time of drought, likewise he did in the times of the anti-christian apostasy, who bowed not the knee to idolatry, and today he dose the same. this woman, the remnant, and her case, are the same with the 144,000 sealed ones in Rev 7:1, (the first fruit), whom God distinguished, hid, and preserved for the wilderness is a place of safety, solitude. that they, (the two witness), should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. This is the length of the ministry of the two witness, forty two months, or 1260 days.

“that they should feed her”. meaning the two witness. and what they fed here is the Word of God which was lacking in their time of witness. supportive scripture, Amos 8:11 "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD". and the Lord Jesus is that BREAD, and that WATER.

Revelation 12:7 "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels”.
Not in the third heaven, the habitation of God, or the seat of the angels and glorified saints, there is no discord and contentions there, nothing but peace, love, and joy. but in the church, and outside, below, which contain some militant, and has in it as it were a company of two armies, the Good the bad, and the ugly on the sidelines. heaven here is on the earth, where the sky/heaven is that which was the heaven of Satan, the god of this world, or the prince of the “AIR”. and this war refers not to the dispute between Michael the archangel and the devil about the body of Moses, no, but with principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world. the name "Michael" is symbolically here for the Lord Jesus, for the Name Michael means "LIKE GOD". and this "WAR" is spiritual. Ephesians 6:10 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Verse 11 "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Verse 12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Verse 13 "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Lets see it clearly. “Michael and his angels fought against the dragon”. the name Michael, as said, here, is NOT meant a created angel, with whom his name does not agree, it signifying "who is as or like God". the name Michael means “Like God” and Jesus is our God. our Lord goes to battle for his people. Supportive scripture, Isaiah 42:13 "The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies”. now see Rev 19:11-16.

and his battle, not yours, is his to win, scripture, 2 Chronicles 20:15 "And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. verse 16 "To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel. 17 "Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you".

We are to STAND STILL and watch the Lord fight for us, he is able to deliever.

The devil is always a looser, which tells us to make up our minds about Satan. and his authority was taken from him, not his powers. Verse 19 "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you”. here the accuser of the brethren has no PLACE, or position, or authority to bring any accusation against the children of God.

Revelation 12:9 "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him”.
Notice the change in name, “the great dragon”, NOT “the great RED dragon.”, was Cast out, no longer the accuser of the brothers, (see Revelation 12:10). here the power that was given to him, is no more. the name clearly Identifies who he is, that old serpent, form the garden of Eden. Supportive scripture, Ezekiel 28:13 "Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Verse 14 "Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Verse 15 "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. Verse 16 "By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Verse 17 "Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Revelation 12:10 "And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night”.
Salvation comes to all men. division by separation was one of the powers of deception the devil had. Verse 23 "He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth”. (THAT NEEDS TO READ AGAIN).

Revelation 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death”.
by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their own lives to the death. This tells us three keys to the saint’s victory over Satan. A. the blood of the Lamb, B. their testimony, and C. not loving their own lives.

Hebrews 12:2 "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Here the last “woe” is given? WRATH, anger, fierceness, indignation, and persecution. How long is a short time? not long, on god time scale.

Here the wings of God protects the children of GOD. Ezekiel 17:3 "And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar”. her place is seated in heaven. Ephesians 1:3 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”. Ephesians 2:6 "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus”.

Satan was very angry with the church, because he could not destroy her by Roman persecution Directly. Since he could not destroy the church outwardly, now he will try inwardly. But the church is built on a solid Rock, the Lord Jesus himself. Matthew 16:18 "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”. which was foretold in Isaiah 28:16 "Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste”. and as for Peter being the ROCK, error, Deuteronomy 32:4 "He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he”. so God is the ROCK? Yes, and by name, 1 Corinthians 10:4 "And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ”. Christ is the ROCK, God almighty.

Do people now understand the timing of when Satan, the dragon from of old, is thrown out of heaven to be locked up for many days awaiting his time of punishment? That at that time of his punishment that the sun will be darkened and the moon will become read as foretold in Isa 24:23?

But then that requires us to understand that the Book of Revelation be understood as a literal account of what is to happen and nor is it revelation chronological in its presentation.

The identity of the global beast, past, present and future..
Revelation 13:1 "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy”.
The Key to this whole revelation here in this chapter is what John first said here, “I stood upon the sand of the sea”. note: he said the sand and not sand(s), with the “s” at the end, but the SAND of the SEA. Sand of the sea is speaking of a particular people when used as a noun, lets see it. Romans 9:27 "Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved”. here it is in Isaiah 10:22 "For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness”.

now the source of this sea in bloodline. Hebrews 11:12 "Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable”. QUESTION, is this speaking of all Israel? No. This beast is out of or from among the nation which is narrowed down. (BINGO),The synagogue of Satan, these unbelieving Jews, that were called by the remnant, and the gentiles church members, Jews, but by bloodline only. Many associate this beast which John saw with Daniel beasts, 7:17 "These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth”. there in Daniel, it was four beast, kings/kingdoms that would “rise” out of the EARTH. but here in revelation, it’s one single beast made up of all the afore mentions beast, but this beast rise out of the SEA instead of the EARTH. and Daniel give us one more clue to who this beast is, the fourth one. Daniel 7:7 "After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns”. it’s a mixture of all the beast, he said, this fourth was, ”diverse”, from all the beasts that were before it. This word “diverse”, was interesting for in the Hebrew it is, H8133 שְׁנָא shna' (shen-aw') v.
to alter.

So the word is“Alter”, not "Altar”, another word for “alter” is “STIR UP” which gives us a clear picture who this beast is. Acts 6:8 "And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. Verse 9 "Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen. Verse 10 "And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake. Verse 11 "Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God. their throat is in the mouth. The mouth an instrument of speech, for the words of the wicked are devouring ones. As a lion who give this beast power is a roaring one, ("Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness"). 1 Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”.

Like a leopard, Romans 3:15 "Their feet are swift to shed blood”, and the feet of a bear, trample under,. Romans 3:16 "Destruction and misery are in their ways”. the apostle Paul gave us a clear description who this synagogue of Satan unbelieving Jews One might want to read up on these synagogue of the Jews as mention in the church of Smyrna & Philadelphia.

Thanks for the reply, but is not the 1,000 years after this. for the time between Rev 12:11 & 12 is the church age, which consist of the 3 1/2 time days/1,000 year period of Hosea 6:2 "After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight".

I haven't gotten to these verses yet, as said, the point here in the chapter is to point out this beast. and the connection came come in future verses as well as past verses. as well as some other reference. they are seen better when one first get the information and then can refere back to a previous verse. as I have already did with some of the others verse. but thanks, and please keep posting some of the other back references if I have missed any.

Nope I'm not trying to control the narrative. hence the reason why I have posted only a couple of verses at a time to give people a chance to examine what I believe, and examine each scripture. and if I have missed some thing please post them. I would love to hear your point of view.

and yes, we know that satan has "TRIED", but unsccessful scramble the scriptures, the Word of God is true and pure.

A quick check just on this page would suggest that I am the only one who is responding to your "thoughts" on the Book of Revelation and you seem to me to be dismissive of my short comments when I post. Initially I did post my expanded understanding of the Book of Revelation and how it is connected to other Biblical passages, but I sensed that I was not being listened to by your good self and so I stopped.

What I am doing now is simply highlighting where your understanding is not in line with scriptures.

Revelation 13:2 "And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority”.
The identity of the leopard, the bear, and the lion have been explained in verse 1. and the power behind this beast is as said, Satan himself, who always is in the background. and it is Satan as who offered our Lord the kingdoms of this world just if he bowed down to him. So Satan had that power or authority at that time to make such an offer. This diverse beast was a mixture of Romans and Jewish administrations. Even Paul himself held Roman citizenship also. So this diverse beast as Daniel put it is a mixture of political and religious administration, in so a mixing of truth with lie, and Good with evil. For Herod who ruled on behalf of the Romans over the nation of Israel, had godly men who understood the written word, the OT, and even he himself feared the prophets. Yet he was evil in his heart. So Daniel was correct in describing that this beast is a “diverse” one.

here, Christ sets the authority rank for his Church. no one is above anyone else, except him, "CHRIST". we all are brethren, see verse 8 above.

Revelation 13:3 "And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast”.
The seven heads of this beast, 1. Religious/spirituality, Global, 2. Governmental/Political, Global 3. Educational/mystical, Global, 4 Militaristic/hawkish, Global, 5. Social/Secret Societies, Global 6. financially/trade, Global. and 7. Science/Technology, Global.

The one head that drives this beast is its Religious/spirituality head, that head which was wounded in 70 AD, the destruction of, NOTICE the Language, “his”, head, meaning “his” TEMPLE, his Religious/spirituality HEAD was destroyed. not a temple for all people, as the Temple of God is, but a TEMPLE for one people. the TRUE TEMPLE of God is for all peoples, supportive scripture, Isaiah 56:7 "Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people”. this synagogue seek a TEMPLE for their OWN People. they seek to regain it authority in the world by “REBUILDING” it’s temple. which is now with plans to rebuild, and will be healed/rebuilt.

Revelation 13:4 "And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?”
Worship comes in many forms, not just in Religious worship. It can come in the form of finances, Political, militarily, educational, … worship, it can go on and on. and one can worship in deception, thinking they are worshiping God when in fact they are worshiping Satan and don’t’ even know it.

Revelation 13:5 "And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months”.
Here is where Daniel is so correct at, “in a diverse beast”. It speak both GOOD and EVIL things. What was given this beast, “a mouth”, here it’s the Greek word, G4750 στόμα stoma (sto'-ma) n.
1. the mouth (as if a gash in the face).
2. (by implication) language (and its relations).
3. (figuratively) an opening (in the earth).
4. (specially) the edge (of a weapon).
[probably strengthened from a presumed derivative of the base of G5114]

Please note definitions #3 & #4. first definition #3. (figuratively) an opening (in the earth). as we learned in Revelation 12:16 "And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth”.
The earth, the people of God, as we know were Apologetics defender of the faith, by the Spirit of God. Isaiah 59:19 "So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.Verse 20 "And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD. Verse 21 "As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.”

definition #4 also confirm the word of God in the mouth, 4. (specially) the edge (of a weapon). the devil weapon, a sword, (the fake gospel) is a single edge sword, it only cut one way. Where as the sword of GOD, (his TRUE LIVING WORD), is a double edge sword, that cuts both way that “RIGHTLY DIVIDE” the WORD of TRUTH.
So clearly the beast is give a mouth to speak words of lies, dressed up in sheep clothing. and as a matter of fact, good at it. but at the same time blaspheme the same word he just preached or taught. This is called the dangers of Syncretism which our Lord Jesus warned us about in the letters to the seven churches. And our brother James confirms this,
James 3:10 "Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
James 3:11 "Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
James 3:12 "Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

Also he said, James 1:8 "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways". So when this beast speak, he speak lies mixed with truth, (Just as the second beast afterward, see Rev 13:11).

Here, the beast is exercising one of it’s heads of authority, 1. Religious/spirituality. spiritual deception.
