He didn't quote any verses or tell me why, but when you get told something like this and your whole body feels it, and your feeling massively overwhelmed, you do what your told. As time went by, observing the Sabbath became something I really looked forward to and eventually God called me to a study of observing the Sabbath for about 2 years. Everything he called me to was validated for me as the Holy Spirit lead me through the study.
Today I feel like a completed Christian, as I observe the Sabbath from my heart, as I live everything else for Christ.
This isn't a work I do or an act of legalism, or rule keeping, but an act of love and obedience to a God and Savior who deserves ,for me, everything I can do to honor Him.
In all that you do, do to the honor of God.
God bless everyone here.
My name is OLIGOS
I can believe you had that experience but I caution you because the scripture says not to believe every spirit, but test them. If that voice goes against scripture, then don't listen.
The point of contention I see is that you say your are complete in Christ for observing the sabbath. Then read what is all involved for that completness in Christ.
Colossians 2:5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
It is Christ and His righteousness being in us is how and why we are complete in Christ to rest in Him. What about the law of Moses?
Acts 13:8 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: 39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Then we have this about not bothering the Gentiles to keep the law of Moses.
Acts 15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. 6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. 7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness,
giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
No law of Moses. No keeping of the sabbath day for the early Gentile believers since they were not Jews to keep the sabbath day.
And that is the one thing missing out of the epistles to the N.T. Churches and that is to teach Gentiles to keep the sabbath day and yet we have scripture that reproves such teaching because we are not to judge a brother if they regard the sabbath day or not regard the sabbath day because we are the Lord's.
Colossians 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
And that reference above was after that reference for how we are complete in Christ. Go figure. So that voice... always test it by the scripture.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
