Kanye West's "Christian" - "Sunday Service" - Jesus is King Album, Chick Fil-A & the Real Lord's Day

Kanye West, known for being one who said that he was "God", and even having a label of Yeezus, which was supposedly in relation to Jay-Z's name of Jay-HOV (all of which are completely blasphemous, as the real names in the scripture are Jesus and JEHOVAH), has reportedly become "christian" and even has a new album, Jesus is King, in which the 4th song, speaks about Chick Fil-A and "Sunday" as the Lord's day.

"... Kanye West has a new song called "Closed on Sunday" that references Chick-fil-A.

"Closed on Sunday, you my Chick-fil-A," the song begins.

Chick-fil-A closes all of its locations on Sunday because of founder Truett Cathy's Christian faith. ...

... "Closed on Sunday" is the fourth track on "Jesus Is King," West's new album that was released on Friday. Prior to Friday, the song was in rotation during West's listening parties for his new songs. ...”

“… The song goes on to preach against Instagram ("Hold the selfies, put the 'Gram away") and the importance of faith ("Follow Jesus, listen and obey"). West ends the song with a cry of "Chick-fil-A!"

Chick-fil-A declined to comment on the song. But, the fast-food shout-out seems fitting for the gospel-influenced album. Every location of the fast-food chain is closed on Sunday. ...

... West has also made financial investments into the fast-food industry. ..." - Kanye West has a new song called 'Closed on Sunday' that heavily references Chick-fil-A - Kanye West has a new song called 'Closed on Sunday' that heavily references Chick-fil-A

One, it is just silliness (and terrible bad as a piece of music), and has nothing to do with holiness, nor the sacredness of God or JEHOVAH Elohiym's, and thus Jesus' doctrine or Gospel.

What is interesting, is that Kanye West, in April 25, 2018, tweeted about Donald J Trump:

"... You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. ..." - Metro CO UK - What is the Kanye West Donald Trump connection? | Metro News

Seriously speaking, and with all humility, Kanye West is (speaking from outside perspective) without knowledge about which day is the Lord's day.

It is not the first day of the week ('Sunday'), but the 7th day (the Sabbath of the LORD thy God; Genesis 2 vs 1-3; Exodus 20 vs 8-11, etc).

Kanye West is being used by the entertainment ('enter' to come into, 'tain' - to be held captive, 'ment' - continuous, or the act of ongoing or being) industry to promote Sunday sacredness, which is not found once in all of Holy scripture (KJB).

If you would like to see why this is, turn to Daniel 3, "all kinds of musick", in association with Babylonian, false worship, and likewise turn to Ezekiel 8 vs 16, in that those who professed to worship God, were really turning their back to God's Law of Ten Commandments and worshipping the Sun (and today it is Sunday), so that people might bow down to an idol (and child) of the Papacy, Sunday.

A national Sunday law is coming soon from America to the globe, see Revelation 14 vs 6-12.

This is no joke, or one can simply watch the following:

What is the Lord's day? Let the Bible speak:

The "Lord's day" according to scripture, is the 7th day, the sabbath day of the Lord.

Genesis 2:1-3,4 - 'the seventh day', 'God', 'day', 'the LORD God' [… God [the LORD] … day …]

Exodus 16:23 - "the LORD", "to morrow [the seventh day] is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD' [... the LORD ... [day] ...]

Exodus 16:25 - 'to day [the seventh day]; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day' [... the LORD ... day]

Exodus 20:8-11 - 'the sabbath day', 'the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God', 'sabbath day' [... the LORD ... day ...]

Exodus 31:15 - 'the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD ... the sabbath day' [... the LORD ... day]

Exodus 35:2,3 - 'the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD', 'the sabbath day' [… the LORD … day …]

Leviticus 23:3 - 'the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD'

Deuteronomy 5:12,14 – 'the LORD', 'the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God' [… the LORD … day …]

Psalms 92:1 - 'A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD'

Isaiah 56:6 - 'Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath [day] from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant' (context new covenant) [... the LORD ... sabbath [day] ...]

Isaiah 58:13 - 'the sabbath ... my [the LORD's] holy day ... the holy [day] of the Lord' [... [the LORD's] ... day]

Isaiah 66:22,23 – 'the LORD', 'one sabbath [day] to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD' [… the LORD … [day] …]

Jeremiah 17:21 - 'saith the LORD... on the sabbath day' [... the LORD ... day]

Matthew 12:8 - 'the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day' [... the ... Lord ... day]

Mark 2:28 - 'the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day' [... the ... Lord ... day]

Luke 6:5 - 'the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath [day]' [... the ... Lord ... [day]]

Revelation 1:10 - 'the Lord's day'

There is no such thing as 'Sunday sacredness' in all of Scripture, except as a Mark of the Beast (Daniel 7:25).

We would even love to hear from Kanye West and family, personally, that he too might not be deceived, or deceiving.

That is exactly what sister White said would happen:

"... As the controversy extends into new fields and the minds of the people are called to God's downtrodden law, Satan is astir. The power attending the message will only madden those who oppose it. The clergy will put forth almost superhuman efforts to shut away the light lest it should shine upon their flocks. By every means at their command they will endeavor to suppress the discussion of these vital questions. The church appeals to the strong arm of civil power, and, in this work, papists and Protestants unite. As the movement for Sunday enforcement becomes more bold and decided, the law will be invoked against commandment keepers. They will be threatened with fines and imprisonment, and some will be offered positions of influence, and other rewards and advantages, as inducements to renounce their faith. But their steadfast answer is: "Show us from the word of God our error"--the same plea that was made by Luther under similar circumstances. Those who are arraigned before the courts make a strong vindication of the truth, and some who hear them are led to take their stand to keep all the commandments of God. Thus light will be brought before thousands who otherwise would know nothing of these truths. {GC 607.1} ..." - The Great Controversy (1911), page 607.1
It is truly sad to see that those who claim to follow the Bible, and the Bible only, cannot from that same Bible they hold, defend their position, without using threats of violence, without using force, without abusing their authority, and erasing and burying the argument of another. What a sad circumstance that is, for it is the same spirit that burned John Huss' materials and then him, and is the same spirit that tried to bury Jesus' words and then kill him. Therefore, I invite that same individual, BroParrish, to come here, and defend their argument on even playing field, where they cannot erase the argument they cannot defend against. If they do not - it really shows what spirit they are of, and what their real position is, not Bible, but "tradition", and are as verily Papist as the Romanist, but are closet baptist Papists.

I'll keep it simple. I talk blue collar language. I am not sophisticated like you.

Now listen, brave guy, exactly what you here say about them RCs and about you daring them, I have many many many times told your 'church', and you as well, big guy, to come here, and defend your argument on even playing field, where, I think, or hope, no one will erase the argument anyone cannot defend against. I'll say it again, in bold ...

The Sabbath was part of the OT law of Moses that was only given to Jews to keep (Deuteronomy 5:1-3) and was never given to any Gentile to keep. Under OT laws, Gentiles were not required to keep the Sabbath yet Gentiles could still be saved.

God pre-planned there would be changes which would necessitate a change in law (Hebrews 7:12) and when Christ died on the cross He took ALL the OT laws out of the way replacing them with His NT gospel (Colossians 2:14; Ephesians 2:14-16; Hebrews 10:9) and in Christ's NT God has disciples meeting on the first day of the week (Acts of the Apostles 20:7)..."And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread..."

(1) - the verb 'came together' is passive tense showing it was not the disciples own decision to bring themselves together but came together due to a Divine directive outside themselves to come together.

(2) -the underlying Greek word for "first day of week" is sabbaton. "According to R.C.H. Lenski*, since “[t]he Jews had no names for the weekdays,” they “designated them with reference to their Sabbath” (1943, p. 1148). Thus, mia ton sabbaton means “the first (day) with reference to the Sabbath,” i.e., the first (day) following the Sabbath (Lenski, p. 1148), or, as we would say in 21st century English, “the first day of the week."
Author: Eric Lyons, M.Min.
*Lenski, R.C.H. (1943), The Interpretation of St. Matthew’s Gospel (Minneapolis, MN: Augsburg).
“The First Day of the Week”

Since the Jews used the Sabbath as the base day, then "first day of week" or first day from Sabbath refers to our Sunday. "Second day of the week" or second day from Sabbath would refer to our Monday and so on.

(3) -Since the OT law was taken out of the way and replaced by Christ's NT, Paul's point in Hebrews 7:1-6 is it is sinful, spiritual adultery, for a Christian who is 'married' to Christ and His NT to go back and also keep the OT law. Trying to keep two laws at the same time is compared to an adulteress women keeping two husbands at the same time.

--Colossians 2:16 "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:"
A major problem in the first century church was with Judiazing teachers trying to lure Christians away from Christ's NT gospel and take them back to the law of Moses. Christian were to "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." (Galatians 5:1). Christian were to remain in the gospel of Christ and not become entangled in the OT law, yoke of bondage by false teachers. Here in Col 2:16 Christians are being told not to let these false teachers judge them, intimidate them into keeping the OT law 'in meat, drink holyday, new moon or sabbath days'. Those in Colossae were no less a Christian for not keeping these aspects of OT law. "In this verse Paul hits basically everything in the Jewish calender, i.e. yearly, monthly and weekly celebrations. If one argues that the Sabbath Day is still binding upon Christians, then one must concede that all the other Jewish festivals are also still binding, for Paul lumps them all together, they either stand or fall together." Dunagan Commentary.

Col 2:16 - "OR A SABBATH DAY"-

"Points to Note:

1. The expression is plural in the original Greek, but the plural is often used for the singular (Luke 4:31; Acts 20:7). In fact Vincent notes, "The plural is only once used in the New Testament of more than a single day (Acts 17:2)." (p. 494)

2. The Seventh Day Adventists argue that Paul doesn't mean the "weekly" Sabbath day, but other "special Sabbaths". In this verse they argue that the word Sabbath refers to yearly or monthly Sabbaths: (a) The term "sabbath" appears 60 times in the New Testament, and even modern Seventh-Day worshippers admit that the other 59 refer to the weekly Sabbath Day. (b) The term "sabbath" in this passage is in the genitive plural, which is identically the same form in which it is found in Exodus 20:8 in the Septuagint. (c) God also may have used to plural to include and cover every Sabbath, i.e. yearly, monthly and weekly. (d) Nothing in the context or the passage would allow us to limit the word "sabbath" to merely monthly or yearly sabbaths. (e) The translators, experts in the original Greek language, obviously saw nothing in the language which would lead them to believe that the weekly Sabbath wasn"t included, notice the language "or a sabbath day", i.e. any Sabbath day.

3. In practice the Seventh Day Adventists and other groups which adhere to the Sabbath Day are found guilty of teaching that the Sabbath Day was more important to God than the Passover celebration, Pentecost, Tabernacles or the Year of Jubilee. Did God see it that way?

The Sabbath was part of the OT law of Moses that was only given to Jews to keep (Deuteronomy 5:1-3) and was never given to any Gentile to keep.
You are mistaken:

Mar 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

Mar 2:27 και ελεγεν αυτοις το σαββατον δια τον ανθρωπον εγενετο ουχ ο ανθρωπος δια το σαββατον

The (definite article, specific) Sabbath (the 7th day) was "made" (Creation, Genesis 2:1-3) "for" "the (definite article, specific) man", and the "the man" in the beginning in which things were "made" is Adam, and all in Him, and thus the Sabbath was made for Adam the first and all in Him, and moreso, since Jesus is the Second Adam, the Sabbath was made "for" Him, and all in Him, per Colossians 1:16.

In Isaiah 56:1-8, we see God calling for all to take hold of his eternal Covenant, and to keep His (God's) Sabbath Holy:

Isa 56:1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
Isa 56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
Isa 56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
Isa 56:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
Isa 56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
Isa 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
Isa 56:8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

These verses are fulfilled in Christ Jesus, even see John 10:16.

The Ten Commandments, are spoken in Exodus 20:1-17, and Deuteronomy 5, merely gives a secondary reason, not negating the first reason:

Creation:

Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Redemption:

Deu 5:12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.
Deu 5:13 Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
Deu 5:14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
Deu 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

Key word, "as" and "hath" (past tense, at Mt. Sinai).

Under OT laws, Gentiles were not required to keep the Sabbath yet Gentiles could still be saved.
You are quite mistaken, see Isaiah 56, see Isaiah 58, and even the 4th Commandment itself, see even Exodus 16, in which the "mixed multitude" were present, and at Mt. Sinai, as well as Moses Wife Zipporah who was not Jew, nor Israelite, etc.

Isa 58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

God says in the NT:

Act 14:15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
Act 14:16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.

Act 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

God pre-planned there would be changes which would necessitate a change in law (Hebrews 7:12) ...
The change is not in the Ten Commandments, but a change in law of priests, notice the context:

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

Context:

Heb 7:11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

See the entire context of Hebrews 7. The Ten Commandments were given before there ever was a Levitical priesthood.

and when Christ died on the cross He took ALL the OT laws out of the way replacing them with His NT gospel
You are quite mistaken:

Isa 42:21 The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
Jesus Himself said:

Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
(Colossians 2:14; Ephesians 2:14-16; Hebrews 10:9) ...
Colossians 2 KJB, parallels Ephesians 2 KJB, and Hebrews 9-10 KJB. The language is the same. The "ordinances" in Colossians 2 deals with "shadows", such as the daily "meat and drink" offerings of a worldly sanctuary and carnal ordinances, the seasonal "feast days", the monthly "new moons", and the year based "sabbaths", in the singular, every 7 and 50th years, as Paul is citing Psalms 98:1-3; and Ezekiel 45:17 KJB with other texts.

The Sabbath of the LORD thy God is always called "my [as in God's] sabbaths", and the others in Leviticus 23:4 onward are called "your [the peoples] sabbaths" [Leviticus 26:35 KJB] which are "beside [given in addition to] the sabbaths of the LORD" [Leviticus 23:38 KJB]. The Ten Commandments, including the Sabbath of the 4th Commandment, are "light" [Proverbs 6:23, Isaiah 8:20, 51:4 KJB], never a "shadow", are "spiritual" [Romans 7:14 KJB], never "carnal" [Hebrews 9:10 KJB].

Colossians 2:14 - "ordinances"
Ephesians 2:15 - "law of commandments contained in ordinances"
Hebrews 9:1 - "ordinances of divine service"
Hebrews 9:10 - "carnal ordinances"

Colossians 2:16 - "in meat, or in drink" [offerings]
Hebrews 9:10 - "meats and drinks" [offerings]

Colossians 2:12 - "also ye are risen with him"
Ephesians 2:6 - "raised us up together"

Colossians 2:16 - "a shadow of things to come"
Ephesians 2:7 - "in the ages to come"
Hebrews 9:11 - "of good things to come"
Hebrews 10:1 - "the law having a shadow of good things to come", "those sacrifices", "offered year by year"

[ps. none of the Ten Commandments deal with carnal sacrifices]

etc.

It's easy to turn a willingly blind eye to evidence when it doesn't suit our own sins and rebellion to God, even to Jesus commandment to repent [John 14:15; Exodus 20:6 KJB].

Colossians 2 speaks of plural, "sabbath days" (or 'of sabbaths'). The context, is also not concerned with all 'sabbaths' but is limited in scope, to that which is "shadow" (not light, not body or substance), that which is "of things to come" (type pointing to the future events) and of "ordinances", as follows.

[1] The Sabbath of the LORD thy God, of Creation (Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11), was given to mankind (Adam) before the sin of mankind (Mark 2:27), before the need of shadow and type, which were given after the sin of mankind, under the Levitical priesthood.

[2] The Sabbath of the LORD the God, is a memorial (pointing backwards, thu the words "Remember" (Exodus 20:8)), to a perfect world without sin, perfect relationship, perfect rest), and is not pointing to the future.

[3] The Sabbath of the LORD thy God, is singular and specific. "The seventh day" "the sabbath" "of the LORD thy God".

Exodus 20:8 KJB - Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exodus 20:9 KJB - Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exodus 20:10 KJB - But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exodus 20:11 KJB - For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

[4] The Sabbath of the LORD is separate from the yearly festal sabbaths, as denoted in Leviticus 23 (see Leviticus 23:3; then see Leviticus 23:4,38 "beside the sabbaths of the LORD")

[5] The Sabbath of the LORD thy God, is called "the sabbath of the LORD" (Exodus 20:8-11, etc), and "My sabbaths" (Isaiah 56:4; Ezekiel 20:20), as opposed to theirs, called "your sabbaths" (Leviticus 26:34,35), and "her sabbaths" (Leviticus 26:34,43; 2 Chronicles 26:31; Lamentations 1:7; Hosea 2:11), etc.

[6] Colossians 2, in its entire context says nothing about "the seventh day", but speaks of merely the shadow sabbaths (plural, not singular), and says nothing of "commandment" (as Luke 23:54,56 does), but speaks of wordly "ordinances" (Colossians 2:14,20).

[7] Colossians 2, speaks of "sins" (Colossian 2:13), which is "transgression of the law" (1 John 3:4), of which the 4th Commandment (Exodus 20:8-11) is central, whereas the yearly (and of years) sabbaths are not given in the Ten Commandments at all
More can be said, but 7 was a good number to round it off at this point, more in detail in a bit.

Colossians 2:16:

[1] daily (meat and drink (offerings))
[2] seasonally (feast days, in their seasons, spring, fall)
[3] monthly (new moons)
[4] of year (sabbath days, yearly see Leviticus 23 & 25)

Numbers 28 & 29; 1 Chronicles 23:31; 2 Chronicles 2:4, 8:13, 31:3; Nehemiah 10:33; Isaiah 1:13-14; Ezekiel 45:17, 46:1-11; Hosea 2:11, and see also Galatians 4:10; Colossians 2:16

Numbers 28:9-10 is the weekly 7th Day, since it states "the sabbath day", and "every sabbath", literally "sabbath to sabbath [Numbers 28:10 HOT Translit. - olat shaBat B'shaBaTô al-olat haTämiyd w'niš'KäH š, which is similar to Isaiah 66:23 HOT Translit. - w'häyäh miDëy-chodesh B'chäd'shô ûmiDëy shaBät B'shaBaTô yävô khäl-Bäsär l'hish'Tacháwot l'fänay ämar y'hwäh].

This is undisputed, and undisputable.

The 7th day is never listed last, and in Numbers 28 it is in increasing order (daily, weekly, seasonly, monthly, yearly). Even as in Leviticus 23, and Leviticus 25, followed by all the other materials, the daily meat and drink offerings, seasonal feast days, monthly new moons, and of years (yearly) sabbaths (7th and 50th years).

The remainder of the Bible follows that pattern, and so does Paul:

Leviticus 23:1- 44, 25:1-22; Numbers 28:1-31; 1 Chronicles 23:31; 2 Chronicles 2:4, 8:13, 31:3; Nehemiah 10:33; Isaiah 1:13-14 (Isaiah, this is a unique, a parallelism within itself, case); Ezekiel 45:17, 46:1-11; Hosea 2:11, and see also Galatians 4:10; Colossians 2:16.

What was that pattern? Were the weekly listed last in any case? No. The Yearly typical sabbaths were always listed last.

The order in Colossians 2 is given as:

[1] "daily" [in meat, or in drink [offerings]],
[2] "seasonally" [or in respect of an holyday; ie feast days of seasons, Spring, Fall]
[3] "monthly" [of the new moon]
[4] "annually, yearly, and 7th year and 50th Year" ["of the sabbath [days]" [plural]].

and in Christ's NT God has disciples meeting on the first day of the week (Acts of the Apostles 20:7)..."And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread..."

(1) - the verb 'came together' is passive tense showing it was not the disciples own decision to bring themselves together but came together due to a Divine directive outside themselves to come together.
The body of believers may gather on any and every day with no injunction anywhere found in scripture against such, and in truth they met "daily", "continually", etc (Mat 26:55; Mar 14:49; Luk 22:53, 24:33,36; Acts 19:9) and likewise among the followers of Jesus Christ (Luk 24:51,53; Acts 1:3,9, 2:46-47, 5:42, 6:1, 16:5, 17:11,17; Heb 3:13, etc).

No issues there. Agreed. non-sequitur to the OP, in regards that "the Lord's day" is the 7th day the sabbath, as shown. In fact, this entire response of yours does not even address the OP - at all.

(3) -Since the OT law was taken out of the way
You are mistaken, as per references already cited previous.

...--Colossians 2:16 "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:"
Already provided the response to Colossians 2 in brief, and much more can be given in detail from scripture, but in place of your commentary, I will cite three commentaries against yours:

Interestingly enough Albert Barnes, a noted Bible Commentator, states on Colossians 2:16, on the word “sabbatwn”:

“... Or of the Sabbath days - Greek, “of the Sabbaths.” The word Sabbath in the Old Testament is applied not only to the seventh day, but to all the days of holy rest that were observed by the Hebrews, and particularly to the beginning and close of their great festivals. There is, doubtless, reference to those days in this place, since the word is used in the plural number, and the apostle does not refer particularly to the Sabbath properly so called. There is no evidence from this passage that he would teach that there was no obligation to observe any holy time, for there is not the slightest reason to believe that he meant to teach that one of the ten commandments had ceased to be binding on mankind. If he had used the word in the singular number - “the Sabbath,” it would then, of course, have been clear that he meant to teach that that commandment had ceased to be binding, and that a Sabbath was no longer to be observed. But the use of the term in the plural number, and the connection, show that he had his eye on the great number of days which were observed by the Hebrews as festivals, as a part of their ceremonial and typical law, and not to the moral law, or the Ten Commandments. No part of the moral law - no one of the ten commandments could be spoken of as “a shadow of good things to come.” These commandments are, from the nature of moral law, of perpetual and universal obligation. ...” - Albert Barnes, Colossians 2:16 Commentary. E-Sword App.

Furthermore, another noted Commentator, Adam Clarke, states on the same passage:

“... There is no intimation here that the Sabbath was done away, or that its moral use was superseded, by the introduction of Christianity. I have shown elsewhere that, Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, is a command of perpetual obligation, and can never be superseded but by the final termination of time. ...” - Adam Clarke, Colossians 2:16 Commentary. E-Sword App.

Even the Jamieson, Fausset and Brown Commentary state:

“... the sabbath — Omit “THE,” which is not in the Greek (compare Note, see on Gal_4:10). “SABBATHS” (not “the sabbaths”) of the day of atonement and feast of tabernacles have come to an end with the Jewish services to which they belonged (Lev_23:32, Lev_23:37-39). The weekly sabbath rests on a more permanent foundation, having been instituted in Paradise to commemorate the completion of creation in six days. Lev_23:38 expressly distinguished “the sabbath of the Lord” from the other sabbaths. A positive precept is right because it is commanded, and ceases to be obligatory when abrogated; a moral precept is commanded eternally, because it is eternally right. If we could keep a perpetual sabbath, as we shall hereafter, the positive precept of the sabbath, one in each week, would not be needed. Heb_4:9, “rests,” Greek, “keeping of sabbath” (Isa_66:23). But we cannot, since even Adam, in innocence, needed one amidst his earthly employments; therefore the sabbath is still needed and is therefore still linked with the other nine commandments, as obligatory in the spirit, though the letter of the law has been superseded by that higher spirit of love which is the essence of law and Gospel alike (Rom_13:8-10). ...” - Jamieson, Fausset and Brown, Colossians 2:16 Commentary. There is nothing wrong with Christians meeting any time during the week but there is specific directives to meet on the first day of the week, Sunday, to break bread and give of their means Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2.

My purpose was to show "first day of week" from the Greek sabbaton refers to Sunday, not Saturday.

My points about Christ taking the OT law out of the way and replacing it with His NT still stand unrefuted.

The entire book of Galatians is bout the sin of Christian leaving the NT and going back to the OT law thinking they could be justified by the OT law. Keeping the OT law, as Sabbath keeping, did not justify any Jew. Only the NT gospel can bring justification. Nowhere in the NT gospel was a Christian commanded to keep the Sabbath day this is why those in Colossae were not keeping the Sabbath and told not to let false teachers intimidate them into keeping it.

Paul plainly said it is sinful for the Christian to try and keep both the OT law and NT law at the same time, spiritual adultery. You quote Jamison Fausset and Brown that say "...though the letter of the law has been superseded by that higher spirit of love which is the essence of law and Gospel alike." Hence the NT supersedes the OT and the NT has Christians meeting on Sunday, the first day of the week.

Albert Barnes does not explain away what I posted earlier, that being " (a) The term "sabbath" appears 60 times in the New Testament, and even modern Seventh-Day worshippers admit that the other 59 refer to the weekly Sabbath Day. (b) The term "sabbath" in this passage (Col 2:16) is in the genitive plural, which is identically the same form in which it is found in Exodus 20:8 in the Septuagint. (c) God also may have used to plural to include and cover every Sabbath, i.e. yearly, monthly and weekly. (d) Nothing in the context or the passage would allow us to limit the word "sabbath" to merely monthly or yearly sabbaths. (e) The translators, experts in the original Greek language, obviously saw nothing in the language which would lead them to believe that the weekly Sabbath wasn"t included, notice the language "or a sabbath day", i.e. any Sabbath day."

The Christian therefore is not required to keep the Sabbath day or any holy days or festival days under the OT law. If the Sabbath were required then ALL holy days and festival days are required. Nor just Sabbath days and holy days be required all 600+ OT law would be required to follow. Paul's point to those Galatians that had left the NT and went back to the OT that to be justified by that law requires keeping the "whole law" Galatians 5:3 which means animal sacrifices, purifications etc are ALL required. The OT law required the Jew to keep ALL the OT law sinlessly perfect to be justified before God yet none could keep it perfectly hence Paul says "But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God" Galatians 3:11. Paul goes on to say "And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them." Galatians 3:12. Why is the OT law "not of faith"? Again, the OT required flawless law keeping to be justified therefore faith could not justify for by committing just one sin the OT law condemned did not show mercy. The Seventh Day Adventists are no different that the false Judaizing teachers in trying to bind the OT law upon other, no different than the Pharisees who would bind heavy burdens upon on others but do no move one of their fingers in that the SDA bind the Sabbath but do not move their finger to keep the "whole law" themselves.

Also, when Paul spoke of the OT law he simply referred to it as "law". Nowhere did Paul did make distinctions between "moral" and "ceremonial" laws of the OT but lumped ALL OT laws together. Nowhere does the NT teach only "ceremonial" laws were taken away leaving "moral" laws of the OT. Hence the ceremonial law of Sabbath keeping is not required by the Christian to keep. The reason murder, lying, stealing, adultery are sinful for the Christian is because Christ said they are sinful and not because the OT law says they are sinful for the Christian. Christ repeated and made 9 of the 10 OT commandments part of the NT but nowhere did Christ ever bind the Sabbath day upon Christians.

This does not say just part of the law was changed. Under the OT law priest could only come from tribe of Levi, Jesus was from Judah. Therefore it would have been sinful for Christ to be a priest under the OT law. Hence Christ " He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second." Hebrews 10:9. It does NOT say HE took away just parts of the first. but He took it ALL away that he MAY establish the second. Why did the frist law have to be take away so He may establish the second? Because the OT law and NT law are not compatible, one was based on blood of bulls and goats and the other on the blood of Christ, it is sinful to keep both laws at the same time (ROmans 7:1-6) so Christ took the first law out of the way so the Christian is not held responsible to that first law so the Christian can keep the NT law and not commit spiritual adultery in keeping both laws at the same time.

Hebrews 10:1-2 if the OT law could justify then there would have been no reason for it to be taken away. Again, keeping the OT laws as the Sabbath cannot justify. Why would want to live under the OT law, a yoke of bondage, that cannot justify? Yet the NT law does justify.

Again, Deuteronomy 5 shows the OT law was only given to the Jews to keep, no one else. While Jews lived under the law of Moses Gentiles were under what many call the Patriarchal law that did not require Sabbath day keeping. Gentiles that became proselytes to Judaism were required to keep the OT law. Acts 15 the Gentiles were not required to be circumcised under the OT law to be saved nor under the NT law to be saved. Gentiles and Jews are under a new covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34) not under that old covenant God made with those Jews that came out of Egypt that required keeping passovers, animal sacrifices etc.

Again, Gentiles were not given the OT law of Moses "For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for? And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?" Deuteronomy 4:7-8. The rhetorical question implies there was no other nation that was given "this law" that was so righteous as the law that was given the Hebrew nation.

THe OT law was made to make man aware of his sin and need for justification, something the OT law could NOT do. he OT law could not ring freedom from sin 2 Corinthians 3:5-11. Justification could only come thru this new covenant to both Jew and Gentile. Jews in the first century refused to believe there was a change of law therefore cast off due to their unbelief (Romans 11:20-22). Paul says of these unbelieving Jews "But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. " 2 Corinthians 3:14-15. Those trying to keep the OT law still have a veil upon their heart, a veil Christ removed with His NT.

Christian sues US Postal Service over Sunday work shifts

"... The complaint also requests for the agency to create policies that provide equal employment opportunities for religious observance of Sabbath on Sundays. ..."

They are pushing hard. They will get what they want, but it will cost them everything.

Notice the contrast between Sunday and Sabbath, as it happens all over again:

"... WASHINGTON, Feb 24 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday handed a victory to Walgreens, turning away an appeal by a fired former Florida employee of the pharmacy chain who asked not to work on Saturdays for religious reasons as a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The justices declined to review a lower court ruling in Darrell Patterson's religious discrimination lawsuit that concluded that his demand to never work on Saturday, observed as the Sabbath by Seventh-day Adventists, placed an undue hardship on Walgreens...." - U.S. Supreme Court turns away religious bias claim against Walgreens

Sunday is being elevated as untouchable, while Sabbath will be trampled more and more.

The context shows that the "day" spoken of, in each texts presented is "the LORD('s)". John as a physical Jew, who was following the Messiah (Jesus), thus a Christian, was on the Isle of Patmos, for what reason?

Rev 1:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

Rev 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

It is even given in other places:

Rev_6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

Rev_20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
What is this "word of God" and the "testimony/witness of Jesus"? We do not have to in any way guess, for John tells us in parallel fashion:

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

This is found way back in the OT:

Deu_4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

So, when John references "the Lord's day", it is in the context of "the word of God", which are God's Commandments. Well, which commandment then? Again, we do not have to guess, for John tells us:

Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
What specific commandment, was John citing? The 4th Commandment, specifically, Exodus 20:11,

Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

The whole Commandment:

That little word "of" is possessive. Thus when God speaks, by His own voice, the He (the LORD) has chosen a specific (definite article) "day", it is thus "the LORD('s) ... day", being His sabbath, the 7th day, from the foundation of the world in Genesis 2:1-3, where therein it is "God('s; the LORD's) ... day".

The "word of God" = God's commandments:

Isa_1:10 Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

and the "testimony of Jesus" is the Spirit of prophecy (Revelation 19:10), and as found all throughout scripture:

2Ki_17:13 Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.

Psa_19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Psa_78:5 For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children

Pro_29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
:
Isa_8:16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

Isa_8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Lam_2:9 Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.

Eze_7:26 Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.

Mat_22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Rom_3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Therefore, notice again the connection of the Apostle and prophet John, who receives a "vision", in connection with keeping God's commandments, and was resting specifically on "the LORD's day":

Rev 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

The Law (Lord's day) and the testimony (spirit of prophecy) again are witnessed therein.

Even in Isaiah 58:13, in many 'modern' translations, the phrase "the LORD's holy day" appear - Isaiah 58:13 - Bible Gateway

"Holy" is merely the adjective.

It always speaks of the 7th day the sabbath of the LORD, His holy day.

Line upon line, and no need for a single non-scriptural source to re-define by the man of sin's tradition.

The word "κυριακη" (translit. "kuriake") is an Adjective - Dative - Singular - Feminine. This means it is being used as a 'possessive' ("of", see 1 Corinthians 11:20, "the Lord's supper"), which means the "day" in context belongs to "the Lord". It is literally "the Lord's (belonging to) day". This means, that the "day" in context is uniquely "the Lord's" out of all the 7 days of the week, for the day under consideration is that which exists within the week, as a day which repeats weekly. This is extremely important, as those who incorrectly assume it to mean "the first [day] of the week" in lieu of Jesus' resurrection, cannot get a weekly occurrence out of a one-time event, in fulfilment of typology of the Firstfruit/Wavesheaf in Leviticus 23:9-14, as made known in 1 Corinthians 15:20,23..

This is not as the phrase "day of the Lord" (ἡμέρα κυρίου) which is written in the genitive masculine case (see 2 Peter 3:10, etc, and also so called septuaginta uses).

In Latin, we see it similarly used in Exodus 20 (Latin is without the definite article, as Latin does not use definite articles):

Rev 1:10 fui in spiritu in dominica die et audivi post me vocem magnam tamquam tubae

Which is akin to Genesis' "God's day":

Gen 2:1 igitur perfecti sunt caeli et terra et omnis ornatus eorum
Gen 2:2 conplevitque Deus die septimo opus suum quod fecerat et requievit die septimo ab universo opere quod patrarat
Gen 2:3 et benedixit diei septimo et sanctificavit illum quia in ipso cessaverat ab omni opere suo quod creavit Deus ut faceret
Whereas the differing apocalyptic day, "the day of the Lord" in Latin is "dies Domini" as in Zephaniah 1:14:

Zep 1:14 iuxta est dies Domini magnus iuxta et velox nimis vox diei Domini amara tribulabitur ibi fortis
In Isaiah 58:13, we read of a "day" that "the Lord" specifically calls "my day":

Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

In many translations of Isaiah 58:13 we read that the 7th day, the sabbath of the Lord, is said to be "the Lord's holy day", with the word holy being another adjective, while the "Lord's" is possessive. - /Isaiah 58:13 - Bible Gateway

Thus when reading Isaiah 58:13 with simple pronoun substitution, it would read "... the ... [Lord's] day ...", just as it does in Exodus 20:8-11.

In Genesis we see why this day is uniquely "Gods'", or "the Lord's" day, for in it God rested. This is the reason Jesus could say:

Mat 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

For in that He created in Genesis, and rested, Colossians 1:16.

Further, we can see some honest persons, among the many commentators that like to simply assume their apriori into the text, or to place future definition back into the text, from non-scriptural materials.

Peter Pett's commentary makes this accurate note:

"... Sunday is not called ‘the Lord’s day’ (he kyriake hemera) anywhere in Scripture ..." .

Dr. Thomas Constable likewise states the same truth:

"... The New Testament writers never called Sunday the Lord"s day elsewhere in Scripture. ..." .

Richard Chenevix Trench has stated on record, and accurately that:

"... “Some have assumed, from this passage, that ἡμέρα κυριακή was a designation of Sunday already familiar among Christians. This, however, seems a mistake ..." .
Likewise, Foy E Wallace states:

"... It is not a reference to the first day of the week ..." .

Another thing I have found, is that people attempt to define "the Lord's day", not by scripture, as is proper, by the so-called "ECF" (easily confused fellows; of the 1-4th century AD, etc), instead of going back to the real "fathers"; the Patriarchs and Prophets of Scripture themselves, like John, James and Peter and Paul, and even further back unto Abraham, Moses, David, and those like them, and have those "fathers" tell us, as mouthpieces for God. I find them in the inspired and preserved words of God, and I do not find people like spurious Ignatius, imaginary Didache, self-refuting pseudo Barnabas, etc.

They would place those persons in afteryears above the definition that Jesus gave.

Spurious and Imaginary?

Yes, Spurious, Imaginary, etc:

The writings so often cited to try to define "the Lord's day" outside of scripture, and long after John passed from the scene, are often forged (like Ignatius) and also abused, of which any may see that here - Sunday Fraud: Church "Fathers" on the Lord's Day

The Bible says:

Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

God even warned all that they would "think" to "change times and laws" (of which the 4th Commandment, the 7th day the Sabbath of the LORD is both time and law) of the Most High God:

Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Notice some of the fraud:

Here is the long form of the citation, since there are several conflicting:

"... For if we still live according to the Jewish law, and the circumcision of the flesh, we deny that we have received grace.—ch. 8.

But let every one of you keep the Sabbath after a spiritual manner, rejoicing in meditation on the law, not in relaxation of the body, admiring the workmanship of God, and not eating things prepared the day before, nor using lukewarm drinks, and walking within a prescribed space, nor finding delight in dancing and plaudits which have no sense in them. And after the observance of the Sabbath, let every friend of Christ keep the Lord's Day as a festival, the resurrection-day, the queen and chief of all the days [of the week].—ch. 9.

It is absurd to speak of Jesus Christ with the tongue, and to cherish in the mind a Judaism which has now come to an end. For where there is Christianity there cannot be Judaism.—ch. 10.

These things [I address to you], my beloved, not that I know any of you to be in such a state; but, as less than any of you, I desire to guard you beforehand, that ye fall not upon the hooks of vain doctrine, but that you may rather attain to a full assurance in Christ . . . .—ch. 11. ..." - ANF01. The Apostolic Fathers with Justin Martyr and Irenaeus - Christian Classics Ethereal Library

Let's examine the longer form first, with which the reader will immediately notice a severe problem. The very quote that is supposed to prove that "Christians . . . never [worshipped] on the Sabbath" actually commands "every" Christian to "keep the Sabbath"! Moreover, since the quote also forbids Judaizing, it follows that the writer of the long form of this epistle believed that Sabbath keeping transcended Judiaism. In other words, a Christian could tell people that they needed to keep the Sabbath without being guilty of Judaizing!

The words "and after the observance of the Sabbath" were intentionally deleted from the quote. Another example of fraud?

Now to the other shorter form. The epistles of Ignatius are spurious or forgeries - Link or Link.

Amazing, having to rely upon spurious writings, pseudo-works, which are forgeries.

The original Greek (Didache 14:1) does not have the word for "day" anywhere in that sentence and secondly, neither is the word "Sunday" present.

"... 1. Κατὰ κυριακὴν δὲ κυρίου συναχθέντες κλάσατε ἄρτον καὶ εὐχαριστήσατε, προεξομολογησάμενοι τὰ παραπτώματα ὑμῶν, ὅπως καθαρὰ ἡ θυσία ὑμῶν ᾐ. ..." - The Twelve Apostles-Didache

Where is the word for "day" (hemera)? Where is the word for "Sunday"? Where is the word "first"?

It literally reads, "κυριακὴν δὲ κυρίου" (Lord of Lord).

The translation that most propose to prove Sunday sacredness or that it is the 'Lord's day' is imaginary.

So far, we have spurious and imaginary.

Then they attempt Pseudo Barnabas:

According to pseudo-Barnabas (ought we to really trust a letter that claims to be from another, didn't Paul warn about such letters being circulated? 2 Thessalonians 2:2), we are too wicked (Christians are too wicked???) at present to keep the 7th day the Sabbath of the LORD, and will not be able to keep it until we are sanctified when Christ returns (so we are going to keep Sabbath again in the New Heavens and New Earth, that doesn't sound like people use this quote for). Because we are too wicked to keep the Sabbath now, we must keep Sunday instead. What good does this reasoning do for the cause of Sunday sacredness or holiness if we are too wicked?

Pseudo Barnabas also teaches the earth ends in the 7,000th year from creation. Do they accept this also?, No, as they believe in the false philosophy of evolutionism and long-agism.

AMEN

Good and neat and fresh, though not the exact brand of washing powder I use myself.

God bless you.

The problem with discussions like this one is that the debaters do NOT READ ONE ANOTHER, but just PLODDER ON like the stout hemming and hawing of shear enjoyment slaughtering pigs each in their own little mud ditch in the pigsty on my daddy's farm long ago.

I'm taking no wild guess if I say that the average age of the debaters on line at any time in debates like the present, is above 65. And that not one has lost or gained one hair's breadth or depth or shade of colour in knowledge or insight or belief on his selfsame old and fossilised head from youth.

...this plus the following must go together for me to answer, because basically they are the same thing...

The Sabbath was part of the OT law of Moses that was only given to Jews to keep (Deuteronomy 5:1-3) and was never given to any Gentile to keep. Under OT laws, Gentiles were not required to keep the Sabbath yet Gentiles could still be saved.

And this must be my answer, just to show how unoriginal these geriatric honeymoon limousines are put together all the same...

The Lordly Lord's Day
‘Kuriakeh Hehmera’

In Revelation…

“On the Lordly Lord's Day a Great Voice Heard like a Trumpet”
ἐν τῇ κυριακῇ ἡμέρᾳ και ἤκουσα φωνὴν μεγάλην ὡς σάλπιγγος

Did you know the trumpet was only sound on Sabbaths? So how can it be not the Sabbath that the Trumpet is Heard in the NT? Was it not on the Seventh Day that The Sound of The Trumpet made the walls of Jericho fall?
Did you know the LORD TRIUMPHED GREATLY YEA LORDLY on the Sabbath in the OT? So how can it be not the Sabbath that the Lord of the Sabbath Lordly Triumphed destroying the last enemy, death?

Some have said that "the Lord's day" is simply unique, and that if John (in Revelation 1:10) had meant "sabbath" he would have written "sabbath". This is actually presumption, based upon a false apriori, about what certain individuals themselves think the Holy Ghost/Spirit ought to have inspired John to write. Beware, that is a very dangerous path to take. They also say that "sabbath" is always called "sabbath" in the NT.

Actually, No. The "sabbath" is called "sabbath" in the NT, that is for certain:

Matthew 12:1,2,5,8,10,11,12, 24:20, 28:1;
Mark 1:21, 2:23,24,27,28, 3:2,4, 6:2, 7:6-9, 15:42, 16:1;
Luke 4:16,31, 6:1,2,5,6,7,9, 13:10,14,15,16, 14:1,3,5, 23:54,56;
John 5:9,10,16,18, 7:22,23, 9:14,16, 12:1 (calculated), 19:31;
Acts 1:2, 13:14,27,42,44, 15:21, 16:13, 17:2, 18:4;

Yet, it is also called God's "rest":

Hebrews 3:11,18, 4:1,3,4,5,8,9,10,11

It is also called "the seventh day":

Hebrews 4:4

It is called "the seventh":

Hebrews 4:4

It is also referred to as being "according to the commandment":

Luke 23:56

It is also referred to as the culmination of the 7 day week:

Matthew 28:1(a) - (Koine Greek) οψε δε σαββατων (Transliterated) oye de sabbatwn
Matthew 28:1(b) - (Koine Greek) εις μιαν σαββατων (Transliterated) eiV mian sabbatwn
Mark 16:2 - (Koine Greek) και λιαν πρωι της μιας σαββατων (Transliterated) kai lian prwi ths mias sabbatwn
Mark 16:9 - (Koine Greek) αναστας δε πρωι πρωτη σαββατου (Transliterated) anastas de prwi prwth sabbatou
Luke 24:1 - (Koine Greek) τη δε μια των σαββατων (Transliterated) th de mia twn sabbatwn
John 20:1 - (Koine Greek) τη δε μια των σαββατων (Transliterated) th de mia twn sabbatwn
John 20:19 - (Koine Greek) τη μια των σαββατων (Transliterated) th mia twn sabbatwn
Acts 20:7 - (Koine Greek) εν δε τη μια των σαββατων (Transliterated) en de th mia twn sabbatwn
1 Corinthians 16:2 - (Koine Greek) κατα μιαν σαββατων (Transliterated) kata mian sabbatwn

It is also referred to as "the day (that is approaching in the week (also the great Cosmic final day, dual use)"

Hebrews 10:25

All of which terms are also used in the OT, as the OT and NT are in perfect harmony.

The Phrase "the Lord's day" is found in use in the OT, as shown from Isaiah 58:13, etc. John is not making up any novel (new) idea, but the Holy Ghost is insipiring and citing from the OT scriptures, as is done all over Revelation 1. Called an "epanados" or Chiasm:

(1) Isaiah 55:4 --> Revelation 1:5 (Witness)

(2) Daniel 7:13 --> Revelation 1:7 (Coming with Clouds of angels)

(3) Zechariah 12:10-14 --> Revelation 1:7 (Pierced and Wail)

(4) Isaiah 41:4,6 --> Revelation 1:8 (I AM)

(4) Isaiah 41:4,6 --> Revelation 1:11 (I AM)

(3) Zechariah 4:2 --> Revelation 1:12 (Candlestick, Sanctuary, HolyPlace)

(2) Daniel 7:9,13,22 --> Revelation 1:13-15 (Priest)

(1) Isaiah 49:2 --> Revelation 1:16 (Sharp Sword)

Revelation 1:10 is simply citing Isaiah 58:13 in the midst of the parallelism from the OT.

I have even shown that Jesus is referring to this same phrase in the Gospels:

Matthew 12:8 - 'the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day' [... the ... Lord ... day]

Mark 2:28 - 'the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day' [... the ... Lord ... day]

Luke 6:5 - 'the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath [day]' [... the ... Lord ... [day]]
