1 Timothy 3:9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

Bishops and deacons must hold the mystery to be qualified in the church of God. They must know, preach, and teach the mystery that was hid in God, and revealed to Paul (Ephesians 3:1-7 Colossians 1:26 Romans 16:25-26).

by the looks of things any one can be bishop or deacon, but who should be is another thing. thing is its the nature of the living to have those like themselves around them. and those with the authority to promote those like themselves around them. even the Lord doesn't permit the presence of any one in Heaven unless they have His Spirit, hence likeness and image, therefore like Himself. so the leadership in church are like those who give them those jobs.

This is one of the qualifications, a bishop or deacon must hold to the revelations of Paul given for the gospel and doctrine.

on who can be a bishop or deacon I'll hold that for now, but I would like to address this mystery you refere to. Not saying that you're right or wrong, but consider this. the mystery of the salvation of Jews and Gentiles, other words all people who would accept God call. this was not a mystery revealed to Paul only, but Peter found out this mystery by God sending him to Cornelius from Joppa where he, God, revealed it to Peter in Joppa. see acts chapter 10.

now there are many mysteries that was not known or understood until the Spirit was given, but the prophets of OLD testified to them. so if one just READ the OT prophets, ...... "WITH" the Holy Ghost one would see and know all the Mysteries that was hidden.

this was not a mystery revealed to Paul only,

Colossians 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
Ephesians 3:3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
The mystery was made only to Paul at first

Peter found out this mystery by God sending him to Cornelius from Joppa where he, God, revealed it to Peter in Joppa. see acts chapter 10.

Acts 10:2 & Acts 10:4 & Acts 10:22 Cornelius was a devout man who gave alms and had good report among the Jews, so he was blessed (Genesis 12:3).

Acts 10:28 Peter was still saying Jews had to separate from Gentiles. God was showing him that Gentiles could, by faith, be cleansed (Acts 10:15).

Acts 10:34-35 Peter was only saying all who feared God were accepted....this was always so, Gentiles could always come to God through Israel (Exodus 12:48).

Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Peter is preaching not the gospel of grace, but the same message as always, believing only on the name of Jesus (John 20:31).

Sorry, but this tells me nothing....I addressed these verses below:
Acts 10:34-35 Peter was only saying all who feared God were accepted....this was always so, Gentiles could always come to God through Israel (Exodus 12:48).
