Kriss, are you kiddin'? There's too many for one to be the most important.N2 is right, that verse has got to close to #1 , but what about when Jesus says that when you do it to the least of my brethren, you do it to me. (?)or when the Roman soldier asks Apostle Paul what he must do to be saved and Paul says believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you and your house will be saved. (?)orI know the plans I have for you saith the Lord, plans to prosper and not to harm, plans with a hope and a future. (?)I have at least three most importants, sorry

Next I saw heaven opened, and there before me was a white horse. Sitting on it was the one called Faithful and True, and it is in righteousness that He passes judgement and goes to battle. His eyes were like a fiery flame, and on His head were many royal crowns. And He had a name written which no one knew but Himself. He was wearing a robe that had been soaked in blood, and the name by which He is called is "THE WORD OF G-D." The armies of heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and pure, were following Him on white horses. And out of His mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down nations - "He will rule them with a staff of iron." It is He who treads the winepress from which flows the wine of the furious rage of ADONAI, G-d of heaven's armies. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."Rev 19:11-16

I agree that there is so much in the Whole Book that is important but I chose as a young girl my life verses:proverbs3:5-7Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes. Fear the LORD and depart from evil.I was adopted into a Baptist home when a baby.. I went to chuch 3-4 times a week and graduated from a Christian school. When I began to see the lies I had been taught, these verses helped me to not assume God was the liar. I drew closer to Him. At 40 when I found out I was the Jewish daughter of my biological mother... I cried out to God "What does this mean." The Holy Spirit Said "GET THE BOOK" Again this verse really rang as truth to me.

Difficult question but this verse is way up there.John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. We are told in the previous verse that this message contains the everlasting gospel

For me, the most important passage in the Bible is Psalm 12:6-7"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."Despite the blatherings of Doug Kutilek and the worthless blogs such as kjv-only.com, I always figured if this passage is not true, if God is not preserving His Holy Word, then John 3:16 is just ink on paper.

Quite the impossible question, but worth thinking about. I'd like to add John1:1-18 to the list. How to carve it down though...
1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.1:14 And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father's only son, full of grace and truth.1:18 No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known.

I think my best life verse(s) isProverbs 3:5-7 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.Combine with Luke 4:4 - And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.Lovest ye in Christ Jesus (Yahshua) our Lord and Saviour.

I'd like to add psalm 23 the whole thing but especially psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Difficult,But my Life verse is:Mathew 6:33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. This Verse helps remind me to: Pursue the Promiser, not the Promise!

I was presented with tye above scriptures when I went to what I assumed was "church", none of them told me what it actually means to "believe on Jesus", they are descriptive of what happens to those who truy do it, but not prescriptive of what it means in practice. If I had to give one it would be:-Acts 2:4: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.Because that shows what God wants to do, how he saves (see also Titus 3:5-6, John 3:3-8).Present many people with John 3:16 and they may well assume they already believe, or if they are not sure it doesn't instruct them or alert them to what they don't realise, it is just a mantra they have heard before.
