That's actually the verse we have on those CB t-shirts I have in a box that I've never distributed as planned Wakka, it's one of my favorites. It's difficult to say "the most important verse" in God's Word. By my count there are quite a few of them.

I think one of my favorites is Proverbs 1:7.

the gospels, here is one=mathew 24:30=and then shall appear the sign of the son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. why are the tribes mourning?cause matthew 24:51=and shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.*

All scripture is important, this goes without saying but I thought some of you might want to share what you think. If you had to pick one scriptureIn your opinion what would be the most important scripture in the bible?
for me it's 1 Corinthians 6:12, "Everything is permissible for me"-but not everything is beneficial." In other words, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ jesus. Therefore we can do anything we want and we are forgiven. But, and here's the rub, what's beneficial? No born again Christian feels good about sinning because the Holy Spirit convicts him. So Paul is telling us in that passage of how despicable it is to use our forgiveness as a license to sin. But our desire not to sin must come from love inside, not just to obey the law. And that's why I love that passage.

John 14:12-18. 12.Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13.And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14.If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15.If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16.And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17.Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18.I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
For me the most important promise we can receive is the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is the only true mark of being Gods people, belonging to him. This passage of scripture shows us clearly what we must do.If you love me, keep my commandments. This is the true way to receive the Holy Spirit from our Father in Jesus Christ. Love is what the believer should be known for. This is all we need to know to be the Lord Gods children through faith in Christ Jesus.

Ecclesiastes 3A Time for Everything 1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: 2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, 3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, 6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, 7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, 8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. 9 What does the worker gain from his toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on men. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. 13 That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil—this is the gift of God. 14 I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him. 15 Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been before; and God will call the past to account

"But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you." (Matthew 6:17-18)

I would say that one of the important verses is John 14:6"Jesus answered. I am he way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me"One of my favorites is Isaiah 40:28-31The Lord gives strength to those who are weary. Even young people get tired, then stumble and fall. But all who trust the lord will find new strength. They will be strong like eagles soaring upward on wings; they will walk and run without getting tired.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.
