She reads the Bible as we all do and such a thing as God taking the Church to heaven, is never stated in it.
Really!

John 14:1-3
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Please show me just where that scripture says the Lord will take His people to heaven.

It is actually a reference to the New Jerusalem, that will come to the earth after the Millennium.
Jesus will come again and He will gather His people to Him, in Jerusalem. Matthew 24:30-31

The plain, undeniable, irrefutable fact is: John 14:1-3 DOES NOT say the Lord will take His people to heaven.
This idea is imposed and added to it by those who have been deceived by the false teaching of a 'rapture to heaven' of the Church.

I suggest that you seriously re think your beliefs, or what will happen may shock you.

It says Jesus will come back and get them, not take them with him the first time.

Please provide the scripture that says this.
John 14:1-3
“Don’t let yourselves be disturbed. Trust in God and trust in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many places to live. If there weren’t, I would have told you; because I am going there to prepare a place for you.
3 Since I am going and preparing a place for you, I will return to take you with me; so that where I am, you may be also.

Hello All
I've been reading Chapter 40 in the book 'The Great Controversy'. I think we all need to read it...I found it immensely inspiring so I've uploaded the book because I couldn't isolate the chapter for you. Soooo, check it out, 'Chapter 40 - God's People Delivered' and give me some feed back.

I've read the book. It was very good.

John 14:3...I shall come again and take you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also.
This is paralleled by Matthew 24:30-31, where those who remain, 1 Thess 4:17, meet Him in the clouds and then are with Jesus for the Millennium.

Hanging an entire belief; the 'rapture of the Church to heaven', on this prophecy, is a very tenuous and shaky doctrine.
There are other verses that people who think God will take them to heaven, use. But NONE actually say He will do that.

What is overlooked by 'rapture' believers, is the great promises of God to His people; for their protection during tribulation and His blessings to them of peace and prosperity, on earth.

As written in Scripture (quite different than popular perception today) .

"The heirs of God have come from garrets, from hovels, from dungeons, from scaffolds, from mountains, from deserts, from the caves of the earth, from the caverns of the sea. On earth they were "destitute, afflicted, tormented." Millions went down to the grave loaded with infamy because they steadfastly refused to yield to the deceptive claims of Satan. By human tribunals they were adjudged the vilest of criminals. But now "God is judge Himself." Psalm 50:6. Now the decisions of earth are reversed. "The rebuke of His people shall He take away." Isaiah 25:8. "They shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord." He hath appointed "to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness." Isaiah 62:12; 61:3. They are no longer feeble, afflicted, scattered, and oppressed. Henceforth they are to be ever with the Lord."

The tribulation is not about peace and prosperity. It is God judging the world and removing sin. It is the end of the world as we know it where toil and labor and this world's economy is over. There is no more personal prosperity. It will be perfect God ordained socialism. Not some fallen human sinful ideology. Why torture ones self, if one does not have to? And people call me crazy because they want to be punished, when I keep saying, it does not have to happen that way.

I challenge my positions regularly Keraz.....it's the only way I know how to build solidly.

Wonderful promises....it makes my heart leap.
