Herbs are natural amd there good if your using the right one, the same thing goes with medicine it can treat only about 10% of the initial depression and then the patient is right back from square one. Its healing and its good only temporarly but is it a cure all for depression no its not what is GOD IS, god will fix peoples outlook he will fix there personality he will fix there disorders and there chemical enbalances perminintly and thats a fact and the only thing that he expects from us is faith to follow his word and try to keep a posative outlook. Im not being rude when i say this but the only place that you will find medicine in the bible is in Proverbs 17:22 "a joyfull heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones"and the wod pill isnt even mentioned in the bible whatsoever and nowhere will you or anyone else find that god commands us to take pills because it isnt written, it is true that we should use herbs for physical health reasons but as far as mental health goes as long as we trust in god and obey god he will take care of us without pills.
Hi there Gumby... I just think you are taking things too literally in my honest opinion... and that in itself can be an unhealthy habit. God will fix how He sees fit, through prayers, through prayers and medicine, whether liquid or solid (pills) God will use humans to get some illness treated. Luke, the author of the gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts, Luke was a doctor. Doctors aren't sorcerers. The bible itself can't fix mental illness... Words can't fix mental illness. To treat illness comes with actions, not with just words.Blessings

Now hold on one seond beloved, i never called luke a sorcerer by any means, i stated im not a sorcerer. And for my sake you seem to be doubting gods word when you say the bible cant heal us. Our faith in god and in ourselves can heal us. Look at Matthew 17:19-20 "then the disciples came to jesus privately and said why could we not drive it out? 20 "and he said to them because of the littleness of your faith; for truly i say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move and nothing will be impossible to you"Luke 7:50 "and he said to the woman your faith has saved you; go in peace"Matthew 9:1-8 1"getting into a boat, jesus crossed over the sea and came to his own city" 2"and they brought to him a paralytic lying on a bed. Seeing their faith jesus said to the paralytic take courage, son your sins are forgiven" 3"and some of the scribes said to themselves, this fellow blasphemes" 4" and jesus knowing their thoughts said why are you thinking evil in your hearts?" 5 "which is easier to say your sins are forgiven or to day get up and walk?" 6"but so that you may know that the son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins-then he said to the paralytic, get up, pick up your bed and go home" 7"and he got up and went home" 8"but when the crowds saw this, they were awestruck and glorified god who had given such authority to men"

The Bible is not God. It's a bible that completely has God's Words... but a material thing (bible) can't heal us, God can. But when Millennium Reign comes, the bible will no longer exist. All we will have is God's Words by mouth.Again, the bible is not Jesus Christ. But Christ can be found in the bible, but the bible is not Jesus Christ.

You could always try my approach;
1st time getting dumped - feel hurt / confused for 8 months (build a tiny bit of a wall around your heart)
2nd time getting dumped - feel hurt / angry for 5 months (keep building the wall, it looks like a mini fort now)
3rd time getting dumped - feel angry / rebellious for 1 months (anyone got more bricks - im running out, but hey that one impressive wall ive built!)
4th time getting dumped - feel empty but okay for 2 weeks (the walls doing its job - just re-enforcing the foundations now)
5th time getting dumped - feel nothing almost immediately after (wall complete! Just sitting inside now, by myself... i am now immune to getting hurt again)

By the time you reach this point, i can assure you - you won't be interested in dating... you will meet people and no longer interact with them emotionally.

After a few years, with all your free time and devotion to Jesus, He will send along someone very special and you'll be like... does anyone have a pick axe? I have a wall to demolish!!

In time you will understand, but first you must give yourself this time!
May God shine his light on you so that you may know the path, and walk the path, without stumbling.

The devil is a liar and deciever hun, and he's constantly trying to ride our backs.
If you give in, YOU LET HIM WIN.
Remember what Chist had to go through for us, and know that it was much more than we could ever imagine. By living in the Lord, we fulfill his plan of everlasting life with him.
You must let the creator decide your time. Hecreated you, and he decides our time.
If you love him first, then love will find you through him. A strong relationship is one that starts with loving the Lord.
Prayer is the answer. Pray for protection, understanding, patients, and love. Love your enemy as yourself, and let it go darlin'. Cast your worries to the wind.
I will pray for you, that you find strength in your time of need, and remember that the lord will not let us suffer.
If you need someone to talk to, call a suicide line, find a neighbor, call the police, talk to us here, seek a pastor, but do not give up on yourself and let the devil ride your back to the grave. It took my husband 27 years to find me, and just as he was ready to give up, i came into his life. Your time will come too. This trouble will pass, and things will look better. That I can promise you.

I think the opening poster is long gone, but since everyone is reading it...

You lose a girlfriend; it's a loss. Losing someone is humiliating; we feel ashamed. Any loss is humiliating! Life is full of loss. Ultimately, everyone has to deal with it. Counseling is useless; they can tell you what is broken, but they can't tell you how to fix it. Although, they can teach you "the blame game." Psychiatry is basically the same thing, only with side effects/stitches

The reality is, shame is resolved at The Cross; we are supposed to wash in The Blood of Christ. Fear: cling to The Saviour. Guilt: put it on, The Body of Christ. And then there is this: Fear, there is nothing more fearful than God. Humiliation, there is nothing more humiliating than God. Guilt, there is no burden as heavy, than our guilt to God. Remember, people overcome fear all the time, because they are more afraid of something else. You can use that and you don't even have to pay me. Although, I am afraid that it won't do much to "stimulate the economy." lol

how do i work with Him on my situation? i'm in a very confused state right now...i feel like i'm the most worthless person in the world...barely eat, barely sleep...i keep on praying and saying i'm sorry to HIm...sorry i'm not a good enough christian...sorry i'm not a good enough human...i keep telling Him to please stop for a moment and take away this sadness...it's too unbearable...

It is a difficult thing to get in the right (spiritual) state of mind when you are in love. I know. I've been there. Human emotions can really cloud our minds and keep us separate from God, but love is the worst one. It is such a powerful emotion that it blots out everything else. I will not pretend that I have an answer for you, lostSheep, but I can tell you this - God is there, right beside you. Now it may not feel like this is true, but that's only because of the emotion you're feeling. What you have to do is exercise your faith in this matter. Here's how....

God is standing right beside you. He hears your prayers. You keep calling out to Him, but you can't hear God because the emotion has plugged your spiritual ears. This emotion has become BIGGER than God. You must act on this matter yourself by believing more in God than in the love for this woman. That takes faith, and you can do it. Understand that Jesus saves us, but He doesn't do all the work for us. We can't just sit on the couch moaning and crying and expect God to do everything. We must act. The bible is very clear about the believer's responsibilities in the spiritual life. For example, take the following Scripture...

"So the LORD said to Cain, 'Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it'." (Genesis 4:6-7)

Notice that it says "you must master it". Sin would be crouching at his door, but the Lord said that he must master it. God wasn't going to do it for him. He had to do it for himself. The same applies to every area of our life where something is coming between us and God. We must master it. Get passed it. Get over it. Move on. God has already given us the tool to overcome any obstacle in our lives - His name is Jesus Christ. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1) Greek, “was the λόγος Logos.” This name is given to him who afterward became “flesh,” or was incarnate (John 1:14 - that is, to the Messiah). So you can battle and overcome anything because you have Jesus - the Word.

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
(John 16:33)

So I challenge you today to master this feeling and overcome, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

i love this girl...i really love her...i'd give my life for her.we were close, VERY close. she knows i love her.then a jerk guy, her friend, set me up. the jerk guy tells me stuffs about the girl behind her back that isn't nice through Yahoo Messenger. i made a printscreen image of the messages i had been receiving then showed them to her.she didn't believe me. i heard from other people that she thinks i made those images up. now they're together...girlfriend/boyfriend and all.i don't get to talk to her anymore, nor clean up my name. this is a simplification of the whole story. a lot more has happened. i miss her...i don't know how to continue...i was set up, i'm innocent, but i lost her to a jerk guy...

lostSheep:

Read Psalm 55.

David was betrayed by a very very close friend. He is furious and broken and torn up inside, but then he finds security in God.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Redeemed.

Saints thank you for responding to the needs of Lostsheep, I believe the best thing we can do is take some of the advise we gave to lostsheep; our call at this time is to pray for Lostsheep. Ask the Lord to become real in his life, and give Lostsheep a heart of forgiveness. Forgiveness toward this girl and the guy who gave false advise to the girl. Forgiveness is a big part of any healing process. We must place Lostsheep before the Throne of God and trust the Lord to do what He does best. Pray that we do hear from Lostsheep for reassurrance of his well being. Lostsheep must forgive himself as well as forgive all others envolved. So often unforgiveness causes a fog over the Cross of Jesus Christ, causing a clear lack of the meaning of the Cross (the ministry of Jesus Christ). If any of us haven't yet , the best thing we can do is place Lostsheep on our daily prayer list.I,m sure many of you have already did this.Love you all in Jesus Name
