How will we know the real Jesus from a false prophet?

Jesus won't need the media to make sure everyone knows he has returned. I don't know just how he will accomplish this but then we don't need that information now. When it happens we will understand.

The confusing thing in the passage above is that Jesus is telling us not to believe when someone comes with signs and wonders claiming to be the Son of God.
How then will we know? How can we be sure?

Jesus performed many miracles but there were still people who didn't believe him
In a world filled with so much deception it's hard to believe anything

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie. 2 Thessalonians 2:9

The evil one is quite capable of performing signs and wonders. He masquerades as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:13

It will be very hard to know for sure if the person claiming to be the Son of God really is.

Many people believe that the age of apostleship ended after St Paul and reject any prophet and/or revelations which occur after it.
This view makes it impossible to accept Christ when he returns

The antichrist will just show up.

Jesus Christ will be seen coming from heaven by every human.

Zech 14 5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

No mistaking them.

every eye will see Him is surely code, and clouds have other--pretty obvious--implications?

i wouldnt be paying too much attn to ppl telling you to stand there looking up into the sky tho

it's easy imo to get drawn into prognosticating and divining, like you are doing, so while i dont blame you i do suggest that what you are saying is not true, and will not come to pass in the literal way you infer. You will see Him come down the same way you saw Him go up right? Every eye will see Him surely means that those who are still using their "eyes" rather than their "eye" are going to be disappointed

if someone reads some Scripture and then says "_____ will happen tomorrow" they are fortune-tellers, ok, regardless of how sincere or earnest they are. Jesus is not "returning" in some magical pagan display of miracle, even if every eye will see Him, you will see Him come down the same way you saw Him go up bc Christ is Spirit surely?

When He returns, the blind shall ALL see etc.

This is called the Millennial Reign of Christ when the works of the devil are eradicated.

Everyone will see him, and there shall then be one Lord and His name one.

Totally agreed. I used to watch all of them back in the early 90's...none of it set right with me so...of course I felt I was not saved. But God was not finished with me yet...one would think when attending, for the first time to one of those places, with no real understanding, that I would have just written Christianity off for good BUT...I was almost immediately led to another Church and have been growing the best I can since. These false prophets and teachers obviously have no clue about what God has in store for them!

I personally don't believe it's possible to fool the elect of God, but for those whom aren't elect this is a banquet.
