Aim at perfection
2 Cor 13:11

Wash and make yourselves clean.
Take your evil deeds out of my sight;
stop doing wrong.
Isaiah 1:16

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
2 Corinthians 7:1

Be holy, because I am holy
1 Peter 1:16

As people we stand with our conclusions as to where we are and what we are. Often we are wrong about these conclusions because they are founded on the wrong assumptions and are because the world batters us and beats us up about things that are not relevant.

God says we are
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
1 Peter 2:9

Linear logic means we work through our understanding one step at a time which comes to the final conclusion, which we carry with us all the time.

This creates emotional relativism, where we discount Gods word and reality in our lives not because of scripture but because of how we feel, which we know is true, because our logic and linear way of thinking has brought us there.

But if we could see as God sees, and work through repentance, faith and forgiveness we would begin to see ourselves as God sees us and admit our true reality and begin in faith to walk in this victory, Amen

"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee. "
Titus 2:11-15.

You will find that it is easier to find people speaking, exhorting and rebuking anyone that would teach holiness, than finding those that would believe it! They know by personal experience the Bible must be wrong, for it cannot be done "in this present world".
