Open your eyes and read the scriptures that I am presenting; spend time seeking to understand them and how they relate to each other.

1 Corinthians 2:13 gives us a biblical hermeneutic that tells us how the Holy Spirit teaches.

1Co 2:13, Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Concerning Romans 8:24-25; compare to Hebrews 11:1.

We can have the substance of and the evidence of what is hoped for and not seen; to wit, the adoption, the redemption of the body.

What is the redemption of the body to you?

I believe that previously (before I showed you that it is obtainable in this life) you would have interpreted it to mean a glorified body.

But now that I have showed you that it is obtainable, the only option is to believe that it is, in fact, speaking of entire sanctification.
Redemption means purchased

I was purchased by Christ on the cross

I told you I was redeemed.
I’d can not pay for your own redemption

Harden your heart if you wish; but the Holy Ghost is trying to tell you something: trying to bring you to a place of holiness in your walk. If you refuse, you will not be among those whom Christ is returning for (see Ephesians 5:27); and will be left behind at the rapture.

Redemption of the body, is something that in Romans 8:23-25 is still hoped for and unseen.

So then, you have not been purchased in your body.

But I have shown scriptures that show how the redemption of the body means that there is sanctifying to the purifying of the flesh, even sanctification of the spirit and soul and body.

Anything else falls in the category of gnosticism.

Now that which is yet hoped for, and unseen; there is evidence for it and a substance of it: and this evidence and substance is the evidence and substance of a holiness in the body.

If the redemption of the body be glorification, then we can walk around with the evidence and substance of glorification within us even though we continue to patiently wait for it.

When Romans 8:23 has been looked at traditionally, it has been interpreted as speaking of glorification.

But now that it is shown in scripture (Galatians 4:5-7) that the redemption of the body is obtainable in this life, all of a sudden it is interpreted as mere purchase, or justification.

The reality is that it is speaking of entire sanctification.

That my body has been purchased means that I have been bought with a price; and that therefore I must glorify God in my body and in my spirit, which are God's.

The term "redeem" (i.e. redemption) is used in Titus 2:14, btw...

Tit 2:14, Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

I have been redeemed

Galatians 3:13
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),

Revelation 5:9
And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

God has been working on my sanctification for over 40 years, He will continue until I die. That is his promise. As paul said, I will continue to run the race.

If you think you have made it, You are in serious danger.

I don't think that I have made it.

Phl 3:12, Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Phl 3:13, Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Phl 3:14, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Of course, the fact that I don't think I have made it may be a sign that I have indeed made it. The next verse says,

Phl 3:15, Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

I would point out that it is not a good thing to backslide; that we ought to always be either maintaining or moving forward in our process of sanctification:

Phl 3:16, Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

No, He will continue until I die

I died to self the moment I came to christ.

That does not mean I am perfect

I seriously worry about you man
Jesus is coming back for a glorious church, having neither spot, nor wrinkle, nor any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27).

Hey, I love you too. No need to worry. My hope is completely in the shed blood of Christ; not in any holiness of my own.

. . . until the day of Christ Jesus . . . actually.
Some will be brought to that place of entire sanctification before the Lord comes; in order that the excuse given by unbelievers...that the church is full of hypocrites...might be stripped away.

Jesus was only the first to become sinless, not the only one.

Romans 8:29
Hi, @CharismaticLady,

We are not without the element of sin dwelling in our mortal flesh as believers (1 John 1:8, Galatians 3:22).

However, that same element of sin can be rendered completely dead (Romans 7:8, Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24) so that it no longer has any say over our behaviour.
