Nowhere has YHWH ever said that it was OK to eat bacon.

Simply untrue.

You may have your arguments against the scriptures that tell us that all foods are clean and that every creature of God is good and nothing to be refused; but those of us who take the word of God at face value will not be placed under such bondage.

We know that there is nothing unclean of itself and that God prepared every living thing that moveth to be food for us.

Personally, I order my steak and potato Epic burrito at Del Taco without bacon. I do this out of respect for the Jewish believer whose conscience might be defiled if it were emboldened to eat bacon when his conscience tells him it is a sin (see Romans 14:23). As stronger believers, we are called to bear with the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves (Romans 15:1).

It remains that the stronger believer is the one who is not bound by regulations concerning what meats he is allowed to eat. It is written, Blessed is the man who doesn't condemn himself in the thing that he allows (Romans 14:22); meaning that, his faith allows him to eat anything at all and he does not feel condemned in his conscience over it. The key verse is in Romans 14:23.

He's not talking about food here either. Context is key.

Nowhere has YHWH ever said that it was OK to eat Kevin Bacon.
Paul is talking about the distinction between those who eat clean meats, and vegetarians here. Paul is not telling you that it's OK to break Torah. Paul is not a heretic.
Nothin' like beating a DEAD horse . . .

Why would you want to eat insects?

insect, bug

Modern Hebrew Dictionary Online Translation LEXILOGOS

I could understand if it was right after a flood and there was little else to eat.

I would say that this rendering is not in accordance with sound doctrine; and that therefore you are involving yourself in strifes of words.

1Ti 6:4, He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

2Ti 2:14, Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

If the doctrine has to reinvent the dictionary to cling to mistranslated scripture; it's not sound.

The words used in the faithful kjv communicate the gospel message perfectly with the meanings that we have in common English; with a few exceptions (some words used are better understood in terms of 1611 English).
