I have a friend thats been in this for the last 30 years he and his wife were over a few months ago, they were telling my wife and I about their new Bible studies with Womack Andrew I believe. They went on to tell us about their current study about storing up treasures in heaven and how God wants us to store up. His wife proceeded to tell us that where their treasure was was in the credit cards they had, and that they'd also received the Spiritual gift of exaltation.

When asked what is the gift of exaltation, my friend explained they exalt themselves.

With a straight face? ;)

You're not showing enough scrutiny. Like I said, the evidence was before you, there's no guess work here.
When Jesus spoke, he exuded undeniable wisdom and truth, this is why those that heard him were condemned for not believing, or making accusations of diabolical influence.

You're convinced that he's saved, while he's preaching BMWs, retirement, golf courses, and gilded fences?

...in case you don't know, the meaning is perverting the Gospel

Jesus said it's possible that even the elect might be deceived for a season.

@GISMYS_7's gift is evangelism, not teaching.

So if he's wrong, it doesn't make him demon-possessed.

I've seen the Spirit work through him, you are on dangerous ground, my friend.

Not being selective. Just not discounting Psalms 112:1-3.
There is not a single Christian that ever lived, that benefited from listening to the prosperity gospel, not one.
You need to discount all passages that refer to material wealth. That is not our calling, that is no man's joy or glory, it will rot away, and it has neither saved or edified anyone, but the exact opposite. It has destroyed everyone that have put their covetous hands on it.
Discount it entirely. It is out of context.

It is not the epitome of the gospel; but it does have value as a peripheral teaching.

Nothing in the Bible is out of context; we are to discount none of it.

Ok, you both sound possessed by something other than God's influence.
You have absolutely no discernment, nor wisdom.
Stop your immature nonsense, and rebuke GISMYS for his misguided and avaricious desires.

Living in poverty is a curse.
One of the foundational truths we must assimilate into our minds if we are to prosper is that poverty is a curse.

Poverty is not a teaching tool of God, it is not a vow we should take, it is not a blessing-in-disguise. It is a curse. It is a negative thing, it is evil, it causes grief and pain. Poverty is not and never will be a good thing.
Proverbs 10.15 says the destruction of the poor is their poverty. Poverty is a destroyer. Remind you of anyone? Poverty is from the devil! If you look through Deut. 28.15-68 you will find a list of curses. In there is never having enough, being hungry, being thirsty, not having a home, being naked. Poverty is always on the curse side. Look at Deut. 28.1-14 and you will find a list of blessings: having overflow, having more than enough, having choices you can make in life about what to wear and what to eat.

This is how you can know that Jesus Christ wants you wealthy: Galatians 3.13 says that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. Do you realize this: God, in Jesus Christ, has completely redeemed you from poverty, from hunger, from thirst, from nakedness. You are blessed. You are able to live a great life. You need to start thinking this way.

We are not to trust in riches.

However, there are many verses that teach that a believer can have wealth and that this is the will of God for him.

Have you considered Psalms 118:25?

AGAIN, it has destroyed more men, than it has saved, from anything.

He preaches on saving souls elsewhere, I've actually seen him do it.

I'm doing so because he is my brother in Christ, and we are told to love one another.

That's all well and good. I wish the best for my brothers and sisters in the Lord too. Unfortunately, false doctrines like these get these people all puffed up, and they look arrogantly down on anybody who doesn't want to be rich "through the Lord." ;)

I was acting as greeter in my church for awhile when this guy comes along, and hands me a manila envelope and tells me God told him to give it to me. I opened it up and it was a Kenneth Copeland magazine, with the lead article saying something like "Why Job missed God and suffered."

Now that just completely turned me off. Then my pastor wanted me to post a faith teaching, as this guy was affecting my pastor--I also put signs up for our church. I told my pastor, "Let this guy put up the message!" So I stopped putting signs up, and I stopped greeting.

I explained in great detail to this guy and to my pastor why I did not agree with this Faith Teaching. My pastor doubled down, and let this guy take some control of the service. The guy promised that if we let him have his way, God would bless the church. He would teach us how to give. He gave everybody a silver dollar, and said he was sowing into the church, to show us all how to give, in order to be blessed.

Trouble is, the church wasn't blessed. He had his way, and the church didn't grow, and we still have financial issues. He ended up leaving for Missouri. The real problem, if he had discerned it, was that our church had had a division, and many were to blame. They had lost their love, and everybody wanted control. It was a carnal "bloodbath" of sorts, and we almost lost our church for the 2nd time.

Now the pastor and his wife are gone, and the new pastor is strictly online due to the coronavirus. So much for Faith Teaching! I think we need to get back to the fundamentals of teaching the word of God, obeying God by choosing to love and edify one another, and stop wanting our own way.

But this doctrine is a fraud, and directs us away from the cross, from the blood, and from the lordship of our God. We need to get back to humility, and to considering others better than ourselves. The Prosperity Gospel only helps those in a position to be rich, or those in countries who even have an opportunity to get there. And that's relatively few people. It is, I think a false gospel.

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!!!

Romans: Chapter 10 verse 9-10-13 GOD SAYS=

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be Saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto Salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be Saved....................

---------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------

An example prayer for those that have never talked to God!

Heavenly Father:........................................... ...............................
I come to you in prayer asking for the forgiveness of
my Sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my
heart that Jesus is your Son, And that he died on the
Cross at Calvary that I might be forgiven and have
Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven. Father, I believe
that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask you right now
to come in to my life and be my personal Lord and
Savior. I repent of my Sins and will Worship you all the
day's of my Life!. Because your word is truth, I confess
with my mouth that I am Born Again and Cleansed
by the Blood of Jesus! In Jesus Name, Amen

God delights in my prosperity! He wants me to live an abundant life, so that I can be a blessing to others! God wishes above all things that I prosper and be in health—even as my soul prospers! (3 John 2) And prosperity is so much more than money. True prosperity is abundance in every area of my life: peace in my spirit, wholeness in my soul and health in my body!

I know my talents and abilities come from You, Lord. Thank You for trusting me to accomplish those things You have planned for my life. I make it a point to remember, Lord, that You give me the power to get wealth—and that’s confirmed by Your unbreakable covenant with me. (Deuteronomy 8:18) You are good and Your mercies endure forever! KC.

Well, aren't you a saint, if you could just leave it at that!
GISMYS, I will tell you what the most coveted gift is, it is wisdom. It was laid before the foundations of the world, and there is nothing that is to be sought more ardently and ruthlessly than her. This will protect you under all circumstances, will make you strong and effective, and influence and assist others.
Wealth will destroy all those that one, desire it, and equate it with God's approbation.

I believe that there is a promise for the church in Malachi 3:10 and context.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse; and He will supply all your need according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus (see also Philippians 4:19).

This is so that the church can pay for the pastor's salary and other venues of putting forth the gospel.

See Ecclesiastes 10:19.

Love of wisdom is identified as philosophy, see Colossians 2:8.

The only thing that God desires of you, is that you bring souls to Christ. Nothing else whatsoever. A Rolex and a Bentley will create only devil's children.

God is good to His children even while they are still on the earth, Amen?

I would be one who is called exalted because I am a brother of low degree; but I don't disparage those who are made low because of their wealth either.
