The only thing that God desires of you, is that you bring souls to Christ. Nothing else whatsoever. A Rolex and a Bentley will create only devil's children.
Only if they become the idol of that person's life.

Those who are filled with the Holy Ghost can be sanctified to the point where mammon would not become their god if they have access to it.

Love of wisdom is identified as philosophy, see Colossians 2:8.
Proverbs 3:13-26
3:13. How blessed is the man who finds wisdom And the man who gains understanding. 14. For her profit is better than the profit of silver And her gain better than fine gold. 15. She is more precious than jewels; And nothing you desire compares with her. 16. Long life is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor. 17. Her ways are pleasant ways And all her paths are peace. 18. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who hold her fast. 19. The LORD by wisdom founded the earth, By understanding He established the heavens. 20. By His knowledge the deeps were broken up And the skies drip with dew. 21. My son, let them not vanish from your sight; Keep sound wisdom and discretion, 22. So they will be life to your soul And adornment to your neck. 23. Then you will walk in your way securely And your foot will not stumble. 24. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. 25. Do not be afraid of sudden fear Nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; 26. For the LORD will be your confidence And will keep your foot from being caught.

All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found in Christ; not in the seeking of wisdom.

Gentiles sought after wisdom but the preaching of the Cross was foolishness to them, 1 Corinthians 1.

AGAIN, it has destroyed more men, than it has saved, from anything.
I have a good friend he's about 78 now dying with bone cancer. He and his wife have hundreds millions of dollars. When my wife and I do go to visit with them we don't know how to even begin to approach him with a testimony of Christ, due to the fact we've tried in to past and it was very nastily rejected. He is among the poorest I know.

I believe that what @GISMYS_7 fails to understand is, you can have nothing yet posses all things. You can also posses all things and have nothing.

However, I would point out that the Lord does give us richly all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17).

(And that our relationship w/ Christ is not dependent on our level of wealth (whether we be rich or poor).).

I believe that this is true whether we are rich or poor.

But material wealth can in fact be a blessing from the LORD.

After all, we are going to have mansions in heaven. If it were not so, He would have told us.

Would you trade your mansion for the soul of my friend?

What do believe would happen if he was stripped of the BMW the house the PTL, the hedge?

Hopefully he would respond as Job did when he lost everything..."The LORD giveth and the LORD taketh away...Blessed be the name of the LORD."

Would you trade your mansion for the soul of my friend?

If it meant that your friend could be in heaven, I would give him my mansion (all glory be to God for what He does through the principle of Romans 5:5).

But of course the Lord is his judge and if he is deemed unworthy of heaven (if he never avails himself of the blood of the Cross), my willingness to sacrifice will avail him nothing.

You should really push the issue with him at least one more time. He may now be ripe for a harvest of his soul because of the suffering he is going through.

It's necessary to discern between the wisdom of the world which promotes the treasures of this world and the wisdom which is from God which Paul tells us in Romans is the crucified Jesus. The two travel opposed directions yet the former insists it's traveling the same direction. That's slippery isn't it?

justlbyfaith, what GISMYS_7 is peddling is the wisdom of the world under the banner of the Gospel. In so doing it has the imprint of the evil one.

What @GISMYS_7 is preaching, while it may not be the gospel, is still peripherally taught in God's word. I've seen the verses on it.

When used to coax people into believing, for the sake of material gain, it is indeed evil.

But when given to the body of Christ as a doctrine that enables us to be better equipped to put the gospel to the nations, it is sound and right.

It is not the wisdom of this world. It is, in fact, taught in the word of the Lord.

Of course we need to be careful how, when, and to whom we preach these doctrines that are found in the word of the Lord.

But they are in fact, there; and therefore in the proper context they can in fact be edifying to the body of Christ.

For all of scripture is inspired of the Lord and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness.

Doctrines on prosperity can in fact be taught with precision when the teacher touches on them as he is moving through God's word chapter by chapter and book by book.

"Prosperity" is not the gospel. "Health and weailth" is not the gospel.

But these things are indeed taught in the word and when given their proper place, in subordination to the doctrines of the true gospel of Jesus Christ, they can be profitable and will bring spiritual health to the body of Christ.

Satan wants to see man sick and poor NOT God.===3John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

There is not a single Christian that ever lived, that benefited from listening to the prosperity gospel, not one.
You need to discount all passages that refer to material wealth. That is not our calling, that is no man's joy or glory, it will rot away, and it has neither saved or edified anyone, but the exact opposite. It has destroyed everyone that have put their covetous hands on it.
Discount it entirely. It is out of context.
Google=== Billy Graham's Greatest Sermon - "Who is Jesus?"
Who is Jesus? This sermon by Dr. Billy Graham answers the question that has been at the forefront of every human’s mind on earth. You will come to know that Jesus is God and in this world of darkness, He is the only light that can deliver you from all evil and harm, and He is the way to salvation.
GISMYS=God (Jesus) is my Lord and Savior=GISMYS

What verse was that??
2 Corinthians 6:10-11 KJV
As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. [11] O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.

Now tell me, how can one be poor yet make many rich!
