How you all remember what is what I don't know! I guess you all grew up with it. I do wonder why they made it all so complicated.
x

Oh you got that right!!! 2 plus 2 equals four so, why do they make something so simple into something crazy complicated?!! And this so called "new math" is ridiculous!

Men are for the most part not simple and quite often they not reasonable and very often it turns out they are not fair. God is able to deal with it all fairly, but who else is...?

Politics... I will be glad to see this day...

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. - Revelation 20:6

I love our Constitution and our Bill of Rights....I don't care for many of the addendums...
@Angelina did you know that a state can succeed from the union of states and become their own government?
And the Native Americans have reservations and are a Sovereign Nation within the U.S.....they have their own laws and government that the state cannot interfere with....however they are subject to Federal regulations.

Just beware that if a state does secede, it can expect war from the Fed. Govt. The Southern attempt is a perfect example.

Question?
1. Are all Republicans Christians?
2. Are All Liberal parties Non-Christian?
3. Are any of the parties centre right or left?
4. Since you have so many states, how is the president and the governors of each state elected?
5. How long does the president hold power until the next election?
6. Do governors win seats or majority votes per state to make a win?
7. Does that win for the governed state equal the win for the party????
8. Where do you make your votes???

It is my opinion that our Christianity affects our politics.

Not all Republicans are Christians, but they are conservative, as defined by liberal and conservative in this country. Thus the Republican party is the camp, at this time, of the Christians.

With liberalism as defined and fleshed out in America today, I cannot see how a Christian can be a liberal. And because the liberals have made the Democratic Party their home, I cannot see how a Christian can vote for the democratic party...at all.

Republican-conservative-Christian-believer.

Democrat-liberal-antichristian-atheist- agnostic-pagan.

These lines are clearly defined in our country.

You see all the rioting in Minnesota...raiding stores....burning things down....no respect for the law enforcement, that is the radical left....democrats....This is what we are dealing with when you hear the country is "divided" The question is what is it? The stage of de-evolution before they are operating on a brain stem.....The walking drug zombies. These are not just blacks, these are Minnesotans, but still everyone has to treat them like the are the "restless natives" or they might go berserk..... ...oops they did! All these people need to spend years in prison and the police officers, all of them, should spend most of the rest of their lives in prison....psychiatric care... if they last that long.

If this is what the police are dealing with it is no wonder that a few of them went insane and homicidal. It takes the FBI to figure this out....give me a break!

I wonder what are your thoughts on them attacking CNN, since a lot of right wing Americans call CNN the left wing media?

....it is all pretty confusing to me...just as I am feeling like I am understanding it a bit, suddenly I am not!! :D
The Electoral College is a electoral representation system that gives all States a more equitable way to be represented with a voice in especially the National Presidential elections. It is not perfect though and may even be inadequate today? The States as mentioned before are sovereign in themselves and therefore MUST be represented more equally or more fairly in the Nation's voice or vote. They are given a representative electoral college number based on the the number of representatives to the Senate and Congress, and these are derived by their population as @amadeus just explained. Today, this EC system seems inadequate, and not antiquated as many liberal want it gone. Replaced with a pure popular vote.

Can you imagine if this Electoral College was discarded in favor of a simple National cumulative majority vote? This would mean that in a Presidential election the winner would be more heavily influenced by voters in the most populous States, every time - California, New York and Illinois for example would have more weight. Then a democrat President that today is a leaning radical left would reside in the White House for generations to come. Conservative voters would rarely get voted in by majority vote as most of the larger cities represent liberal voters. Hillary Clinton would now be President if the majority vote ruled over the EC system!!

The united States (uS) means a Constitutional Republic and realized by the consent of these individual sovereign States to become and stay united as a country or nation.

It's the most natural and free form of governance devised whilst keeping on the one hand the power and overreach of Federal/ National governance in check, and on the other, the promotion and independent power of the States.

This can explain why many not from the States were amazed and viewed Trump as weak by not imposing a type of Federal rule in matters regarding this virus. He gave most of the power of decision to the States as he should. When it comes to foreign policy matters and especially conflicts or wars, as their nature calls for expediency and decisiveness, the President has more sway and power.

Thomas Jefferson knew the hardship of maintaining the purity and innocence of the Constitutional Republic formed in part by him and in his lifetime. The civil war ended this experiment and its innocence, as the new founded Federal layer of government overreached, squelched and began to erode the powers of the States, as we still see today.

Ironically though, the States today are under siege and being undermined and attacked by radicals of the left, globalists and neo-communists.

Oh It will take a while to explain. I would love to get my head around this first sister and then I answer your question :) I'll tell you something though. You guys are more politically motivated then we are for sure!

Angelina,

I have it on good authority (Dr Google) that your country of New Zealand now has only one house at the federal level, The House of Representatives with 120 MPs, House of Representatives - New Zealand Parliament. The upper house, the Legislative Council, ceased in 1951. The Queen of the Commonwealth is represented by the Governor-General.

Currently your Prime Minister is from the Labour Party, Jacinda Ardern, who is in a coalition government to gain a majority in the house.

Your political system is similar to ours in Australia, on a federal level. The lower house is the House of Representatives while the upper house is the Senate. We submit to Queen Elizabeth II of the British Commonwealth through her representative, the Governor-General.

The upper house is designed to be a house of review for legislation passed by the House of Representatives. So, legislation does not become official in Australia until approved by the Senate. However, the Senate can initiate legislation that then needs to go to the House of Representatives for approval or rejection.

Then we have State governments for the 6 states as well as for the territories. For the States we have a lower house of representatives as well as an upper house, Legislative Council - except in my home state of Qld where the upper house was abolished by the Labor govt in 1922.

All systems need to be under God. They may be different. But all need to be under God no matter what country they are. Or state for that matter.
