Christians can and do sin. They do not practice sin, but can sin.
In Acts5 sin did not "bounce off Annanias and Sappharia when they were cut off.
Sin does not bounce off those who took the Lord's supper in an ungodly manner.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

They were not condemned with the world but judged.
God doesn't always remain silent when we sin, just the same, that sin does not bring condemnation because there is no law applied to govern us, aside from the Law of Christ, which is also called the Law of Love, and the Law of Liberty.

It's a freedom from a guilty conscience, which is to live not according to faith, and instead to live as if we actually were under the Law. And living as if we were under Law is what drives our flesh to sin, and is the weakening of our faith that allows that sin.

When we the just live by faith, that's faith in Jesus, and the justification brought to us through His death.

We are under Christ's Law, and He is the One Who will judge us in that day.

But the Mosaic Law, for Israel, for the ungodly, no longer condemns us. The Lawgiver has removed us from that whole scenario.

Much love!

You sin everyday. Your self righteous posts are exceedingly sinful.
You say that because you don't the difference of being sin-free as opposed to being sin-less.
1.
As long as we are in this body of death, our flesh and blood being, we are never sin-free.
2. Through faith in the sacrificial Blood of Christ, all our sins are removed, and by God our sins are remembered no more (Jer. 31), because now our life is HID WITH Christ in God. Col. 3:3.

Only upon His appearing from Heaven the 2nd time, and our bodily resurrection into the immortality of His likeness, THEN shall we be sin-free.

Now I say this, so that you can agree with God and stop all your worring, and learn to have faith to trust in HIS Rigteousness and NOT your own, which is by/through the Law.
Romans 6[18] For I know that in me (that is, of my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom. 8
[7] Because the carnal mind [our fleshly mind] is enmity [at war] against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

This is true as long as you don't mean some mystical cover up of the sins we keep committing. That is not being born again. A born again Christian doesn't commit sin. They have no desire to commit sin because sin has been taken out of their nature.
Old people especially old Christians need to be careful they don't misunderstand sinlessness with complacency.

The way I understand it is to perform the whole law is to love God and love your neighbor.

I am not arguing about painting, I am asking a question.
I do have a problem of sentimentality of art as if art can capture the experience of God in the soul of man.
The difficulty is art is a static image while our relationship with God is alive and changing.

The Lord instituted very few carvings and images, and Israel tended to create idols and worship them like the bronze snake used by Moses.
Equally the Lord bans worshipping such images, which certain traditions have ignored.

The idea is the Lord dwells in His people seems a far cry from God is present in these massive ornate cathedrals, paid for by very wealthy individuals, ruled over by important bishops, and which often hold special importance to rulers of the past. One might forget the creator came and lived with normal people and asked them to follow Him, and the church was against the rich and their exploitation of the poor.

So to me the whole idea speaks of something other than God and His ways. But that is just my take on it, God bless you
Two different things in my mind. Yes worshiping images is wrong, but as a sometimes artist, creating paintings or drawing or carving, etc of biblical stories is not wrong.

To be born from above is to be born again a second time.

This is a spiritual rebirth that takes place when a man receives Christ into his heart and life (John 1:12, Colossians 1:27, Revelation 3:20).

You can receive this spiritual rebirth by praying the following prayer:

Dear Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I admit that I have sinned against you; and I receive You now into my heart and life as my Saviour and as my Lord. Please forgive me of all my sins; and I will follow You all the days of my life. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit and with Your love. I believe that You are the Son of God and I confess You that You are the Lord of everything and now the Lord of my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

IMHO....only the spirit is reborn of God..the flesh is still the same and remains corrupt....the spirit wars against the flesh daily....when our mind is bound up in carnal thinking and negative thoughts it tends to come into agreement with the flesh to do what the flesh wants to do....whether it be cursing, being angry with someone, hating someone, gossiping, backbiting, disobeying and disrespecting your parents...etc.... but our spirit is grieved and we feel the conviction in our heart.
Because our spirit is reborn of Him it is no longer able to sin because it is His Spirit "DNA" in us, so to speak....but this is where everyone confuses the matter.
Paul said he found a new law that where good is present evil is there also....no human person can walk daily their entire life until they die without sinning at one time or another of the flesh...NO ONE....but those same human persons who are born again of His Spirit never sin again in their spirit.

Romans 7:21-25 KJV
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Romans 7:21=25 ESV
21 So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand.

22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being,

23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.

24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?

25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

When Jesus returns He will exchange our corrupt body for an incorruptible one.
So, IMHO, our spirit no longer sins, but our flesh is still very capable of sinning.

What is the role of the painting?

11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
Matt 4:11

I do not think this painting represents angels attending to Jesus.

Yes.
Its Jesus just prior to being arrested, tho its not showing Him sweating blood.
He was given support from Heaven.

The Lord instituted very few carvings and images,

Are you not able to see that God paints the colors of Life on the canvas of the universe?
Do you not see the Joy-Art of God... the INCREDIBLE Artist.... as He paints glowing and always changing colors in Space?
Have you not seen Spring bursting with color as Flowers and the beauty of a Sunrise or a Sunset?
The design of a butterfly's wings, the color of a bird's wings... God created this beauty.
Do you not hear the sound of GOD's song, when Birds are singing early in the morning?

Open your eyes and SEE the ART of God that is found in every living thing, in every part of Creation.

Its all around you..... all the time.

Regarding a Christian, the Spirit only wars against the flesh, if the person is walking in the Flesh.

"if you walk in the Spirit, you shall not SIN"..."shall not commit deeds of the Flesh".... = you shall not battle the flesh.

You walk in the Spirit by right believing, and you walk in the flesh by wrong believing.

Get your mind in alignment with the mind of Christ, which is to understand GRACE correctly and to see yourself as God sees you, and you will be able to live a perfected discipleship.

That takes maturing to get to that walk..it doesn't happen immediately after conversion.....a new-born Christian has a lot to learn....even I am still learning....just in the past few years the Holy Spirit revealed my heart and I was ashamed.....right now I am battling with anger and unforgiveness towards someone that has deeply hurt me....but I ask forgiveness daily and for His help in matters I am weak in....

@Heart2Soul 2 Peter 3 says we should all continue to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

@Heart2Soul Justification by faith - also in Galatians - is a really central Biblical doctrine, with roots in the OT, isn't it?
Yes it is and I am fascinated with what OT people went through and witnessed during those days....example parting of the Red Sea!
