Love is the Spirit of selflessness, sacrifice and service. Love therefore is sublime, selfless, sacrificial, pure and unconditional. Those who love, therefore, do not make distinction between friend or foe; will put other’s interest and life ahead of their own; will unconditionally forgive others; will not take revenge; are generous, humble, patient, kind; will never seeks reward for acts of love; and will love others even in face of betrayal and hurt. Furthermore, they will see the opportunity to serve others as a reward, because love is the inner most longing of their spirit and the voice of God that resonates in their heart

Psalm 133:1-3 is a good place to start, personally though i have found that with people you have to be patient and keep on showing them love then maybe they will see gods ultimate love for them. God bless :)

Well said. Unfortunately that's the hard part for us as human's even though it is our purpose in life. I spent last summer traveling with a team of people talking about virtue. Obviously, with love being the highest virtue, we talked about what love is a lot, both as a team and with the 1-12th graders we taught.I think its important to remember that because God is love, true love, and the ability to love, can only come from him. Without God in our lives, we cannot love as him. This, in my opinion, is why so many marriages fail.Additionally, because love is not a feeling, its an act of the will. We CHOOSEto love someone, i.e. we choose to "will the best for them". That's the basic definition we used for the little kids... Love is willing the best for someone.Anyway, I could talk about the dynamics and complexities/simplicities of love all day, but i'm not an advocate of long posts, and I want to hear other's musings. Thanks for the Thread!
