Paul teaches that there are many members in the body of Christ. Interestingly, there are different mentions of those body parts in Scripture. God puts us where He wants us to be to do the job He wants us to do: 1 Corinthians 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. (15-17) If the foot shall say, "Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body;" is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, "Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body;" is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased Him. (21) And the eye cannot say unto the hand, "I have no need of thee:" nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you." (25) That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. Consider the "Son of Man" and His many membered body, of which we are part..... Isaiah 11:3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: Daniel 10:6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. Revelation 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written,, that no man knew, but He Himself. John 11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. John 17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:I believe the "feet of Christ" and the "eyes of Christ" are those chosen as His two witnesses, His two groups of witnesses. The eyes are those that will be killed and therefore are those "lifted up to heaven" when their hour comes...as was done in the hour Jesus faced. The feet are the witnesses that are not slain but are changed upon His return. [1 Corinthians 15:52]

Christina;73933]I just love your posts Whirlwind said:Thank you very much.This morning I had my nose buried in Corinthians and saw.... 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.....and it made me think of the body of Christ again. We, as the eyes, ears, feet or whatever part of the body He places us in, whatever job He will require of us....can't imagine what He "hath prepared." Isn't that the most wonderful thing to consider?
