Thanks John
I loved the ‘picture that you painted’ of the neighbour lady that “did less and less” physical activity against her doctors wise advice . Great picture of the church and “death more abundantly”.
There are so many experiences like that we have had, which God brings back to us to teach us just a little more about what is really happening!

I also see “death more abundantly” in those whose ‘Jesus’ is still on the cross....is still in the agony of death , with no resurrection, victory or glory. The Lamb is no longer walking the earth meek and mild ...but is all glorious as shown in Revelation...His eyes a flame of fire and His voice as a trumpet. etc
For many people Jesus really is effectively dead for all the attention to pay to Him and what He was sent to do and what He has done. When we close our eyes and our ears too often it seems that eventually without realizing it, we are no longer able to see or hear any more at all:

"For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath." Matt 13:12

What is taken away are things, which are not yet ours, things over which we have only been caretakers or stewards.

Yes our Willie T has joined the great cloud of witnesses...I agree, with no word, I think Patrick has now gone too. Dwayne I still often think of ...when I feel the moving of the Spirit rising up within me , I feel like saying , as he used to post -“ I feel a glory shout coming on.” :)
He’s shouting freely now! ✝️
In order to help me remember many of them I have set up my own little roster of some that I have known. Just their names sometimes bring back memories of events in our past on Christian forums. Do you recall the 3rd Nancy known as Permapetra. She was appointed moderator at T2O the same time I was about 10 or more years ago. The 2nd Nancy was also known as Gentlewind and now she has had my two little puppies for about 8 years [my wife still texts her regularly]. The 1st Nancy @Nancy is our beloved Nancy here on this forum. There was Linsinbigler, the Orthodox priest from somewhere in Florida; Meshak, the super anti-military Japanese lady; Gideon-Bruce, I believe from Kentucky; Lesjude from T2O who is definitely deceased; Mysteryman; Karim, the Syrian Christian; Patsy from the UK; Watchman from T2O who reminds me of @Stranger here; and Israel-Val from Detroit. I have lots of others on my list, but those are most likely to ring a bell in your mind.

We too have much to shout about, the older we get our vision of the true realm grows brighter as the old world grows dim. For a “little moment” my vision fell from His face to the stormy waves ...but , praise God , above the waves I heard a Voice saying- “It is I , be not afraid “ ...’and they came safely to the other side ...’
Like the 12, we are not here for the Storm , but to go through the storm to the other side,,,

At the beginning of our walk , when He first said - “Let us go even unto the other side.” We instantly believed ...the waves of life and the dark thunder has threatened us , but His word never fails.
Not one word has fallen to the ground.

Hugs H
Peter's little walk on water tells us many stories, if we are able to hear them. That and Jesus asleep on the boat.
Give God the glory dear sister. I really do wish Mike Waters had not moved away from us... Maybe he will still return. Oh, I know he is still on this forum, but he most often acts as if he does not know us at all. He is truly missed and loved.

so, to put that another way, Esau is not condemned for eating red stew; Edom is destroyed for not allowing Israel to pass through
Probably lots of 'church' people eating that "red stew" instead of the "white blood" offered. Perhaps @Giuliano will visit here and remind us what that is... or at least, could be.

Lori, no although I recall another brother from a Yahoo forum in the 1990s who used to post a lot from Prinzing. That was I believe ever before I met you. I don't remember that brother's name as he is not on my roster.

I think Brad is still a moderator on Talk Jesus forum. I was most active there a few years ago before I became real active here. He lives I believe in South Carolina. He once sent me a postage stamp so probably I even have his snail mail address some place.
Yes, Ron, the lowly fisherman, one of the very good Catholics along with Patsy. Frank, yes and Roy, no. Trevor I only knew the name. I eventually joined his forum, but it did not last long and I was not there too long either.

="Adoration, post: 779972, member: 8878"]Ok... so ... I Loathe a few things... Catholicism.. and Calvinism are my two C words... LOL... For a great long time... I was SO filled with loathing for these two doctrines that I would not even CONTEMPLATE listening to someone preach... who I KNEW was a Calvinist.... I would purposely look up anyone before watching any of those Youtube sermons.... and if there was a breath of Calvinism in their description... IN THE GARBAGE... the sermon would go
not saying that nothing good might be learned from anyone...but the heir is under servants until he inherits applies there i think.

this brought me to Carter Conlon... who is/was the pastor of Times Square Church
and wadr who has signed a 501c3, right? Now dont get me wrong, i might like the guy myself regardless

He also for some may seem to be working in that 'left hand' of God, but I believe that when they really begin to see where he [Mark or @bbyrd009 ] is they will change their minds about that... at least I hope that they will.
I've seen him come along and clobber so many people with this stuff. I'm not seeing it.

Telling anyone who worships Jesus that they are, what Cult of Sol Invictus? Something like that?

The constant misquotes and out of context to present the Bible as saying the opposite of what it says if you look at the entirety.

The personal comments even to the point of threatenings, not just the insults, and I'm not talking about to me, but to others.

Any time I try to actually come to understand just what in world his cryptic comments are intended to communicate, well, suffice to say it does not work out.

So I don't know, maybe it' just me, but I'm not seeing it.

I've tried to. I continue to try to. That's why I'm on the forum! To compare with others, and understand other people's points of view.

But to be routinely categorized and dismissed as Mithraist is not my cup of tea, I fail to see how it makes any correct representation of me, this and the boatload of other comments like it appear to me pejorative, and whether that's the point or not, they are certainly not communicative!

So what do ya' do?

Much love!

and fwiw marks i dont think i have ever trashed anyone's beliefs; it's when the "you have to believe exactly like i do or you are going to hell" jazz starts that i usually comment
With all due respect . . . What I've seen strikes me very differently.

You do what you believe that you must as you believe that God is leading you! @bbyd009 might disagree with your belief, but after so advising you in his way, he wouldn't insist that you be banned from the forum.

I really do understand your complaint but do you really understand perhaps the 'why' of some things that he does? Even if @bbyrd009 were completely wrong [which I do not admit] in either his beliefs or his approach, what is your job according to God and how absolutely right are you? Give careful consideration to both things. If you really honestly believe God has given you the job of going after him [or anyone else into something similar], then you must follow your heart. Hopefully your heart is really always on the Lord's side seeking always His Way. I hope the same thing about @bbyrd009 . More than once early on I had to pray about him and discuss his situation with one very wise sister here known by most everyone. She also had reservations.

The second thing is similar in that too many people here do hold onto what they consider and would openly describe as Absolute Truth [AT] and then insist or press others strongly to embrace those same ATs. I would find it difficult to definitely state a single AT that I hold to... although there might be one hidden that I have not considered.

Some people are so embedded in their support of their ATs that they don't really even listen to or read opinions or beliefs or arguments against an AT, even when verses of scripture are used. That is their right I guess under the rules here, but bbyrd presses usually against just such embeddedness and in case you had not noticed, he does not care [or doesn't seem to] that he may be disliked or called names or attacked or ignored because of what he is doing. Doesn't that remind you even just a little bit of Jesus?

When someone attacks what I believe, or me personally, I try to take it I believe that Jesus might take it... although not always successfully. Sometimes I simply walk away without responding at all, but sometimes I am unable to do that. I could not do some of the things I see bbyrd do in the way that he does them, which apparently offend you and others, but that does not mean I am right and he is wrong. Perhaps it simply means we are different parts of the Body of Christ with very different necessary functions. Are you or am I or is any other person on this forum the Head?

When it is a third person being attacked or even strongly pressed in a disagreement, sometimes given the specific details and the attitude and newness or oldness of the apparent victim, I may attempt to intervene. Newbies to the forum, or to God, will often be such a one and God would want us to help them. Once they have their feet good and wet, I would be less likely to get into it.

Even some of those when they are here may be used by the 'left' hand of God to accomplish His purpose of stirring people up. Many may disagree with most of these "I and I only have it right" guys, but their presence and words may cause some to dig in a little deeper themselves into just who Jesus is and why He was sent and what our purpose and priority should be as children of the Most High!

He also for some may seem to be working in that 'left hand' of God, but I believe that when they really begin to see where he [Mark or @bbyrd009 ] is they will change their minds about that... at least I hope that they will.

Thought of you the other day and discernment. Jonah 4:11 And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?

(Imo) God is not being sarcastic in saying they can not tell the difference between their right hand and left.

Jonah 4:11 Lexicon: "Should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know the difference between their right and left hand, as well as many animals?"

Interval, space between...as well as many animals(beast).

and yet it's a perfect setup imo, the heir is under servants until he inherits, and hard as it may be to get we need Apollos waters i guess. But imo a more useful reflection might be in the Esau cycle, which if we were to admit it makes no sense to us in the natural; Jacob supposedly inherits but it is he that has to leave? Esau supposedly lost his inheritance but it is he that got to stay? Ha!
Let me attempt to provide an explanation. Esau correctly possessed the birthright. His mother was given a prophecy about it. He was correctly born first because it was his before either of the two brothers had been born. He was not suitable for it however. Before God removes authority or power from someone, He gives that person chances to improve. If the person fails the test, God can and will move to remove the authority or power.

Thus it was foreknown that Esau was unsuitable although the birthright was in fact his. How could Heaven go about it? Oh, by being as clever as the serpent! Thus Jaoob's job was to outwit Esau. If you rely solely on the account in Genesis, you might think Esau was the better son. So obedient, always wanting to please his father, etc. Jacob looks terrible by comparison. What we may need to know is that sometimes God's servants do things which may make them look bad. . . but with good reasons.

So first, Jacob gets the man Esau (the man in the flesh) to agree to give up his birthright. Years later Jacob has a wrestling match -- with the fallen guardian angel of Esau. Spiritual wickednes in high places was defeated that morning; and the sun itself rose "for" Jacob. Do not say the sun rose to shine "on" Jacob. It rose "for" him.

Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

So the Guardian Angel of the Edomites got defeated; but that did not correct all the problems of Esau and his descendants. Those problems are still around. Jacob knew Esau couldn't be trusted. Esau wouldn't murder him in public with witnesses around; but he would have murdered him if he could get him alone. So Jacob "lied" a bit. It wasn't an outright lie, but it took centuries to become true. He followed the rule about being as subtle as the serpent and as gentle as the dove. What Jacob said makes me laugh.

Genesis 33:14 Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.

First he calls Esau "lord" as if he acknowledges his birthright. Then he says he will "lead on softly" -- gentle as the dove, remember? Finally he promises to meet Esau at Seir. Jacob did not go to Seir. He never intended to -- not in person anyway.

"Jacob" felt it safe to visit Seir hundreds of years later. God visited Israel at Sinai and visited the Edomites at Seir.

Deuteronomy 33:2 And he said, The Lord came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

man, i am in bad shape for this kind of work, and ill admit as much as often as someone lets me lol, but here i would ask for a specific example. I mostly get out of line when professors start insisting on stuff, seems to me, but maybe not, yes
