I'd be interested to hear them.

One that happened to me on a missionary trip was when me and my friends were inviting people to Church. I am in a wheelchair and back than my friend starting pushing me fast and let go of me. I hit a speed bump and went flying then I gently ended up on the ground. My friends ran up and said a tall and muscular guy dressed in white appeared sat me on the ground and waved his finger at them.

Later we were handing out flyers and were told about drug runners around and told to avoid them at all cost. We saw two guys outside a place holding rifles and my friend went in, we prayed and he came back with no incident and put a flyer on each desk in the building. The guys came running out and said something in Spanish and looked our way but seen nothing, we found that out later when the two guards came to Church and converted to Christ.

Here's one of my most memorable stories.

In 1998, some crazy guy (zane floyd) came to my work and shot my atheist manger.. and about 3 more people dead. I found myself in a strange reality with no sound but high audio (magnified gun shots) (no radio on.. or floor buffer which should of been,( saying why's it real quiet!) at the time and a strange woman looking at me (I'm guessing she was the guardian angel) Then when it was all over a coworker had told the police I was a victim.. crazy story... I questioned her and it was me. But what she saw put me in the kill zone. What I saw was nothing... nobody getting killed. But people did. The shots were super loud!!! I even walked over to the spot shots went off. I call it divine intervention. I specifically heard my manager declare he was atheist and went as far as saying he hated Jesus just less than 1 week before. I know God can time travel or something better than that. You can google the madman.

------------

So basically I was killed.. But God undo it. This plays into the Lazarus thing.. of shall never die.

She basically was confused on why I wasn't dead. She said she saw me killed. I shook my head saying thanks for sharing that... So I know the power of the Kingdom of God.

During the Shooting I only seen that one woman looking at me. The Protector? Entire store was empty. People would say they seen me run out,, but that's not true in my version.. I saw nobody until I got outside. When you are in the Kingdom of God its all alone stuff.

Why is the amount of skepticism rising in Christianity?

As Christians we are meant to be men and women of Faith in Jesus, we are meant to believe that Jesus can still work supernatural miracles through believers by the power of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit lives in us Christians, as Christians we are temples of the Holy Spirit.

We are meant to be spreading a Gospel of all the powerful Jesus Christ who lives in every born again believer, the Jesus Christ who died for sins and rose again! We are meant to be spreading a Gospel of Jesus's resurrection power.

What happened to Matthew 17:20?

He replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

We serve a Living God, it's time to rise up! Pray for miracles, healings, breakthroughs in faith to happen so that people may believe, pray for people's lives to turn around to Jesus, pray for the spiritual gifts to be released amoung more Christians.

To the cessationists it's time to believe in the supernatural.

As God's people we are meant to have more power than those that practice witchcraft! We have not been perfected yet, we who are alive on earth right now have not entered Heaven yet! There is still a need to preach the Living Word, there is still a need to spread the good news about Jesus, there is still a need for that almighty resurrection power of Jesus Christ to be displayed, so that many will come to God.

If you want future generations to believe in Jesus, you better start believing miracles of Jesus are still in existence today, you better start believing that God given spiritual gifts are still existent today.
'A new commandment I give unto you,
That ye love one another;
as I have loved you,
that ye also love one another.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples,
if ye have love one to another.'

(John 13:34-35)

Hello @Josho,

If there is doubt or questioning (ie., scepticism) within the heart of the believer regarding the tenets of his faith: there is only one solution to it, and that is to prayerfully immerse himself in the Word of God; for only as we ourselves come to sit by the well of living waters and drink of Him, can we be in a position to water others.

Looking around at others will only bring perplexity and consternation, only by keeping our minds stayed upon God, in Christ Jesus, can we be fitted for His service, and portray the love and grace that raises us up above our fellows and provides a living witness to the power of the grace of God to those around us.

In Christ Jesus
Chris

Hello @Josho,

I believe that Almighty God can do anything. However it is the gospel of Christ that is the power of God unto salvation. That is all we are called upon to proclaim.

In Christ Jesus

Why is the amount of skepticism rising in Christianity?

I tell you why.

1. People don't read their bibles.
2. People ignore the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
3. Preacher don't preach on point 1 and 2.
4. The majority preach ear tickling sermons.

End of story, very clear and simple.

No they leave because devil split them from their true love. Man has no purpose in life after that has happened.

And God had brought them together. The term Love conquers all...we'll see.

Very clear and simple. yes.
Even if they do read the Bible, study and memorize, they may well be as Jesus Says: studying because they think that they will find life .... but like the religious scholars and religious leaders then, today also they reject Jesus and do not seek the Kingdom of God.
Even if they do not ignore the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, they continue to not understand Scripture nor the Power of God.
Even if preachers preach on pints 1 and 2, so what ? They fail.... due to lack of honoring God and disobedience, and unbelief.
Finally yes, (4), the majority tickle ears ..... seeking the approval of men, instead of God's Approval... and
they ENJOY the approval of men.... they refuse to pay the price for God's Approval .... the "cost" is too high for them !

IS THERE A REASON, ANY reason, that the common man in the usa or the world
SHOULD NOT be skeptical ?
--------------------------------------------------------------
With the condition of things in the churches and in the world and on forums/internet today, should not everyone be skeptical ?
--------------------------------------------------------------
went to see what the definition of skeptical is in the world: (don't know what the op means by skeptical)

I don't think Jesus wants a bunch of preachers in heaven more than listeners to what he has said. If someone stop believing it could be b/c they preached them to death?

I would simply tell her to say I will never die, b/c Christ had died for me, and he loves us!

Once you start thinking you will die the devil gets you for more time.

Do some of this..

Why Skepticism? Is it not reading the Bible enough, no. Is it not praying enough, no. Is it the wrong kind of preaching, no. It is that we are men of the west whom must have an explanation for everything. For the majority of the west everything has to have an answer and instead of saying we don't know and leaving it at that man of the west must investigate. So faith grows dim because we just won't accept something because we always want to know.

Skepticism comes from doubt. Unbelief from denial. Denial from? Blindness.

Everything must be tested and proven true in line with Scripture, just as the Bereans are well known about, BEFORE accepting it.

This is why there is skepticism and the bereans were not good guys they wanted to prove St. Paul false. You are literally displaying what my above post speaks to, you have to have an explanation for everything. The need for explanations or why so many miracles don't happen. As my priest said yesterday that the we have to try to figure out things like amil, pre mil, post mil but the east just says Christ is coming back and celebrates that. We have to say are you calvinist, arminian and the east doesn't care because their faith is totally in Christ. We try to figure out how Christ real presence is in the Eucharist is it transubstantiation, consubstantiation, or no substantiation but in the east thy just celebrate what Christ said that the bread was His body and the wine His blood.

If we can just use faith more we would be better off.

This false premise, a false teaching? , is false, and thus nothing following it is worth reading.

Nope. Read it again, they were not trying to prove but disprove. The idea that they ere trying to prove Paul is an evangelical myth and St. Paul was saying at least they did something instead of just reject the Gospel outright

Why do you guys always mention Paul and not be involved on what Jesus said? Jesus is truth.. if you stick to his words how can you go wrong? Skepticism is founded on lack of belief in his words.
