Preaching really does nothing for atheists, and it will make em more atheists.

Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
[13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
[14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
[15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
[16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Please get into the Word and be rooted in it and you will know what is in it.
God Bless!

There is no such thing as parable of the shroud sir. We ought to not bring in our own ideas in the scriptures, such as your idea of the shroud put in the parable of the sower. No Christian or man was given the authority to change God's words, nor add or subtract to it.

You are preaching what is not found in the scriptures. That's a dangerous road to walk in.

Preaching the gospel is the work of the Christian preacher. Conviction, convincing, and converting is the work of the Holy Spirit.

In this parable, we learn that only the 4th soil was referred to as good soil and produced crops of any size. Matthew 13:23 - "And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty."

the good soil can be described as those who have received the love of the truth, otherwise:

2Th_2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Paul wasn't Jesus.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith does not come by hearing, and it comes by God. Ask Peter when he was asked. Meaning God has to reveal it to you.

Is Romans 10:17 now no longer true? Is that not in your Bible? So now you openly go against what truth God inspired Paul to write in scriptures? It seems to me that you are preaching another gospel now. Hope I am wrong.

I'm really sorry, but I still don't get it.

Good job.

Don't be concerned with those who like to focus everything in God's Word on Jews and Jerusalem. That's not what our Lord Jesus was talking about.

There is a deeper underlying Message though. And it's simple also. God's OT prophets first gave us many of those symbols pointing to the devil and his as symbolic thorns, and stones, etc. Just as in real agriculture one must plow the soil to prepare it for sowing, one must also clear away any stones or thorns in the way, before the seed will have the ability to produce; likewise, we must be prepared like the soil, having our stones and thorns cleared, so we can produce fruit in Christ Jesus. So it's not just about having a pure heart; it's about recognizing the enemy, and doing whatever necessary to clear his evil working, so as to prepare potential believers to receive Christ.

? perhaps like in Athens in Scripture - those kind are welcome to set up their idolatry and broadcast it,
while those like the Apostle Paul and Peter and James and John,
like the others Phillip and Timothy etc etc etc are not welcome very long, but must go on to other places.

Perhaps you are misunderstanding what is meant by the word, hearing... It is not speaking the ability of the physical ears on the sides of our physical heads to catch sound vibrations in the air for brain to understand them. A totally deaf person can hear God. Consider the words spoke by Jesus:

"And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear." Matt 13-14-16

Perhaps ?
No question.
Can the natural, carnal man (the whole world, basically, including catholics, unless they get saved out of the religion, out of the world, by God) "understand" anything (anything) spiritual ,
according to all Scripture ?

no.

I think the Parable of the Sower assumes that people understand what they hear. Being able to hear and understand God's word is his gift to all of humanity. What we do with that understanding, though, is a matter of the will. Acting or not acting on what we believe is a choice.

I think most of us have a bit of ground of each type in our hearts...that is IF we ever bear any fruit. At least at first. The problem is continuing to fail to understand. Failure can be a great teacher. Failure is only fatal if there is no learning involved.

So we will hear some of God's words and not understand and miss out at first. The birds will come and take them away. At least in part.

We may also get offended at the selfless character that God requires for us to yield an eternal kind of fruit. So we will be full of joy until we realize the full cost...then we might just take offense.

We may also allow the cares of this world to interfere...even for just some of the time...until we are able to let everything go for God. Of course many will never get over their cares of this world as long as they live. This is a very difficult...and narrow...road to travel down. But go down it we must if we are going to bear an eternal kind of fruit.

So we are hopefully learning and growing into one whose heart is a good place for growth. We are not limited to how we first begin. The end of a matter is better than it's beginning...for those who learn to cultivate a good ground.

Break up your fallow ground...it is time to seek the Lord. Run to win. :)

Well first you have to know what the seed is..

1. God's word.
2. The Woman and her seed (Mary and her Church)
3. Would be the Shroud

This all leads you to the CC gate.
