Mark 3:13-14 And He goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto Him whom He would: and they came unto Him. And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach. And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils: He calls His elect for a purpose...to teach/preach and they/we answer. The twelve, including Judas Iscariot, "which also betrayed Him," "went into an house." [3:19] The house they entered is symbolic of...the house of Israel, the house we, as believers, reside in. Matthew 10:5-7 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 3:20 And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. And when His friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on Him: for they said, "He is beside Himself." His "friends" are His kinsfolk...mother and brethren  [3:32] Being "beside Himself" means...out of His senses. The scribes were among the multitude...causing trouble as usual and they committed a sin "that hath never forgiveness" by saying, "He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth He out devils."[3:22] They attributed an act of the Holy Spirit to Satan. They said of Christ, "He hath an unclean spirit." [3:30] Jesus commented, "No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house." [3:27] There are various ways Satan and his men "bind the strong man," who is a man of God, and then go forth to spoil his house, which is the house of Israel. His "goods" that will be spoiled are "vessels of gold and silver," which are symbolic of people, God's children in God's house. The strong man must first be disposed of, or bound in some way, to spoil the others. Without the strong man there to protect, teach and/or warn them...they shall be spoiled! The scribes and His kin were trying to bind Him as Satan and those that don't understand, can't eat the bread, try to bind us. In this instance, as in many cases today, Satan worked through the brethren of Jesus. Because they "could not so much as eat bread," or...could not understand His teaching, they thought He was "beside Himself," out of His mind. Instead of trying to understand His teaching they judged Him.....wrongly! Our example is....those of our house, friends and family, including of our house of Israel, if unable to understand what His Spirit teaches through us will judge and bind us. Perhaps by ridicule, or banning from forums, by deceptive practices...whatever is necessary to keep the strong man from teaching so they can....spoil the goods of the house. 3:31-32 There came then His brethren and His mother, and, standing without, sent unto Him, and they said unto Him, "Behold, Thy mother and Thy brethren without seek for Thee." They "seek for Thee" to "lay hold on Him." [3:21] They are "without" meaning...they, unable to eat the bread He offers, were without the house where He and His disciples were. Oddly...one of those within the house was Judas. Another Satan worked through to bind the strong man. One of the lessons here is...... Romans 14:3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.If one is mature in the Word they are not to despise those not yet at that stage but....nor should those without understanding, not yet able to eat the meat of the Word, judge those that do for..."God hath received him."
