When I click on someones username and want to see their "messages" it has been coming up as an ERROR.

Will that be fixed soon?

There is an option for the owner of the site to set it on/available or off/unavailable , and to set it for different groups /members/ admin/ mods/ and so forth.
It may be that simple, as has happened on other forum sites also - the owner or admin set it to off to prevent searching poster's posts. (protecting both the guilty, and the not guilty (if that applies) ) . It makes it much more difficult to see what a poster posted when they posted even earlier in the day, last week, or whenever,
to verify if they are consistent, or disobedient, back and forth, true or false.

Hello

When I clicked on your name in the OP for this thread it brought up some of your details.

I then clicked on your name again in the details that were brought up and it brought up a fresh page where I was able to view your posts, and it displayed probably around the last 20-25 posts that you had made. At the bottom of that page it allowed me to stroll down through the posts you have made. How far back I could go for your posts I did not test, but I guess this is what you might have been looking for.

Shalom

Click on my name to the short menu with my picture. See "messages"? Click on the number by it and what comes up? That short cut brings up an error message.

Read my instructions again. The mistake is that you did not click on your name again in the small detail panel that was brought up.

If you do this then, you may be able to look at what you have posted and when.

I clicked on my name in this thread and then on my name again in the small member detail panel which took me to page which said, among other things, "Recent activity.", clicked on this and I was able to see may last 20 or so posts and at the bottom of the page I was able to look ot the next previous 20 or so posts.

I am an older person, and i can do it with ease, by following good instructions.

I know about that tool. But I used to be able to click on the number next to "messages" in the first box that comes up. Now all that comes up is an error message.

Thanks for this. I frequently used the other method that as CL mentioned is not working. I was unaware of this. It works fine.

Too many loops within the forum script can cause many problems, and they keeping it within the KISS principles. What you are complaining about is having to made one more mouse click to get to what you want. It seems petty to me.

I do not blame the administration for simplifying the script for the forum. I would do that to, if I was an administrator.

I can always count on you to try to make someone feel small.

'man is but dust , here today, gone tomorrow ....'

I can always count on you to try to make someone feel small.

James 4:14 You do not even know what will happen tomorrow ...
biblehub . com/james/4-14.htm
Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow. Proverbs 27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring. Isaiah 2:22 Put no more trust in man, who has only the breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?

How difficult it is to say, "Forgive me" and "You are right and I was wrong." Imagine if Adam had said to God, when he was asked if he had eaten from the tree (Genesis 3:11) "I did, forgive me." We would all be enjoying Paradise right now... but alas! Even after all that Christ did, we still choose to imitate our forefather...

Quote:
Abba Isaiah said, 'If someone accuses you of doing something you either did or did not do and you remain silent, you are imitating Jesus (Matthew 27:12-14). But if you reply, "What have I done?" you have imitated the nature of Adam. If you argue point by point, then this is contrary to nature.'
Forgive me.

“A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.”
— Proverbs 15:1 (KJV)
You were doing well with helping her try to resolve the issue she was having until your last comment.
So why bother to help someone with something you have knowledge of just to cause them to feel incapable of following instructions?
I am a visual and audio learner....you can text instructions to me all day long and it takes me awhile to get it....but let me hear your words and see you in action performing what you are saying and I get it the first time.
I humbly ask what did it accomplish to add that remark? Even if you did not intend to be condescending it was perceived as such.
That's the problem with emails and texts....it's hard to recognize the intent behind the words.

@Heart2Soul There's a good verse, there...
