Gloria Gaither composed a wonderful song, after asking herself what would it mean to walk as one who has been forgiven. " I Then Shall Live (Toghether Album Version), recorded by the Gaither Trio. This is really a prayer asking the Lord to help us to walk as one who is debt free spiritually, with the peace and joy that can only come from the Throne of God. Calling on the conviction of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. Imagine the whole Church of Jesus Christ walking as being ones forgiven. It would be awesome, Amen?. This is where the forgiveness triangle must be applied , confession to God, accepting His forgiveness in our hearts, and then forgiving others. Now all our debts are paid by the knowledge and accepting of the "Finished Work On The Cross of Jesus Christ". Appling our faith to His Grace which has been given to us by Our Father through the Blood Sacrifice of His Son Our Savior Jesus Christ. Walking as one who has been forgiven will cause us to see others through the Eyes of Jesus , with nothing but love and compassion. The Body of Christ would no longer shoot the wounded of the Body. Instead we would embrace them with the Love of Jesus Christ.

Would like to have others share "What it would mean to walk as one who has been forgiven?". What would be the stumbling stones to achieving this walk? Is This How The Lord would have us walk?

I admit it gives me food for thought and prayer. Thank You and Bless You All.

"The Body of Christ would no longer shoot the wounded of the Body."

What does that sentence mean? I'm unfamiliar with it.

To walk forgiven is to walk with a freedom and a smile - a lightness of being.
Each morning is new. I love it.
It's like being a kid.

What is meant by The Body of Christ would no longer shoot their own wounded. We have three accusers in our Christian Walk : 1) Satan 2) Others 3) Ourselves. In number 2 accuser there is the "gotcha team" Self appointed police persons for Heaven. Also when a Christian Falls many times the Body is ready to cast them to the evil one , forgetting the grace and mercy that is extended from the Cross. Turning our backs on the Prodigal Sons. By walking as one who has been forgiven we are able to see these brothers and sisters through the loving Eyes of Jesus Christ, walking them back to the Seat of Mercy and Grace. Able to be used of the Lord to reconcile them back to Him. I pray that this clears up your inquirey. GBU

Firstly, walking as one who has been forgiven is an enabling discipline which glorifies God because it requires faith.

John 5:24
(24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on Him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

1John 5:4-5
(4) For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.
(5) Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Secondly, stumbling stones to achieving this walk are domination, intimidation, manipulation, and seduction which are forms of control that dim the light of the Holy Spirit and leave people floundering around in the dark.

John 8:12
(12) Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Thirdly, Jesus wants us to walk in the light, which includes knowing that His blood cleanses us from all sin.

1John 1:7-9
(7) But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
(8) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
(9) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

John 12:35-36
(35) Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walks in darkness knows not whither he goes.
(36) While you have light, believe in the light, that you may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide Himself from them.

I think its a great thing if we can walk peacefully with other christians. Here are a few scriptures concerning the subject. Psalms 86:11, Psalms 143:8, Romans 6:4, Romans 8:4, 2nd Corinthians 5:7, Galatians 5:25, Ephesians 5:2 and 1st John 1:7.

God bless :)

Well, it's commentary on why we cannot get too mad when others maybe don't see eye to eye or do something to us.

Number one, it's easy to forgive until something is done to you. We all struggle with that, it's the elephant in the room for Christians. I think one really necessary dimension of this it to look at ourselves with true humility. My pride dictated that I needed this lesson rammed down my throat. I've seen it firsthand because it was me. There are times, when it doesn't truly harm us or loved ones, that we do turn the other cheek. That's something I want to be clear on. There are times to spiritually handle our business with righteous indignation and then there are times where how we respond without spite can improve the situation.

Proverbs 15:33 ESV
The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom, and humility comes before honor.

I Peter 5:5
Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."

If we were in God's mighty shoes and knew how much each and every one of us messes up on a daily (hourly, minutely, secondly, etc) basis, we would all be a lot better off. Instead, we can put it off in space or the back of our minds. In spite of our best intentions, the flesh is weak and the flesh will fail. That's not doctrine, that's reality. Thank God for forgiveness for those moments of weakness and failure. We would not make it without that great gift from Father. The Apostle Paul - a man who some would argue was intensely cocky or even arrogant - saw this truth as well as any man (gender neutral) outside of the Son. (Who himself was perfect, never sinning - yet he knew what those around him did.) So when those moments come where the old enemy whispers that you're a "good" Christian who doesn't make as many as the publican next to you, tell him to go away. Satan's greatest weapon within the church is the notion that some (be it a person or group of people) are holier than others. Again, I've seen it at work firsthand. There are some folks who are great Christians in some ways but approach things with that attitude.

What a great time it is when we can walk with that forgiveness!

whats your plans for our 1,000 year reign with CHRIST sis. :D have you ever meditated on this?

What a funny question! No, never even thought about it.
I'm not quite sure I'm going to be around.
May I ask your plans - you've given it more thought!
May help me.
