Not really. Day temps are known to stay as low as 10 and night temps can get as low as 1

Not much lower than 500 meters around Melbourne. Mt Dandy and Mt Macedon. Ive never seen snow in the burbs.
I have seen hail, so much hail that it looked like the ground was covered in snow.

This is the Mt Macedon memorial cross at the summit

Was that pic recent? Today?

Melbourne cops a lot of criticism for it's weather... Four seasons in one day
But i reckon its alright, i don't like the humidity of the tropics.
It doesn't get too cold here, so we don't have to deal with snow, but the ski resorts aren't too far away.
And we have a decent summer where we can enjoy water activities as well

Could you imagine if they didn't have a 5km limit today? The rush to the hills and mountains would have been crazy hahaha.

Ye August is peak season but Hotham lifts are closed til at least the 19th of August it says.
Not much snowfall this season so the conditions are poor for this time of year. Do u ski or board?

It's pretty funny, downhill there's usually a tonne of people, xc trails are quiet, since most people are on the toboggan slopes.
