Daniel 1:1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.
1:3-5 And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes; Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans. And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king's meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.
1:12 -14 "Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink. Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants." So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.
That is a picture, an example, of what will be in the end of days. "Some of" God's very elect, His man child (ren), will be delivered and proven.

I just came across another passage that pertains to the OP...to the spiritual eunuchs....
1 Corinthians 7:29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;
7:32-33 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.
7:34 There is a difference also between a WIFE and a VIRGIN. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
Those that become spiritual eunuchs are the 144,000 virgins, the bride of Christ. Are those that still love Him and yet don't give their lives for Him, (are not spiritually crucified with Him)...are they the wife, the church, the other group of 144,000 from [Revelation 7:4-9]?
The virgins/bride:
Revelation 14:1-4 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with Him an hundred forty and four thousand, having His Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
At the seventh and last trump (voice of a great thunder) the Lamb stands on mount Zion...mount Zion is His very elect, His man child, His bride, His firstfruits, His 144,000 virgins.
The king of Babylon, a type for Satan, beseiged Jerusalem. Jerusalem is symbolic of God's city....us, believers. Here, in this example/type , the king of Babylon/Satan, hasn't yet taken over but, as today, he is beseiging the city (with great deception from his false prophets). When the time of the takeover arrives (the 1,260 days, 3 1/2 years) the king, not yet in Jerusalem, sends to the city for God's treasures, God's vessels, which are....God's elect:

These "children" are the man child(ren) of end times. Why does the "master of his eunuchs" bring them? Because he (symbolic of the antichrist, who makes war with the saints)....wants these children, the man child, the saints! They are those who have left all family behind to follow in the footsteps of Christ...they are spiritual eunuchs, they are His priests.
The king/Satan appointed them to eat and drink his food and his wine....his false doctrine! They did not but instead asked to be proven.....
Hebrews 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
Matthew 19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
