Eternal life (John 17:3) is to know God. To know God is to know and accept His ways. Those who know Him, therefore, do His will (Marr 7:21-23). His will is this, that we love one another as He has loved us (John 12:15). He loved us by humbling Himself to take a human form (in the person of Jesus) and suffering the most painful death in order to bring forgiveness to us, who were unfaithful to Him, betrayed Him and killed Him. Eternal life, therefore, is a life that has surrendered its will to God; sacrificed its own interest to serve others; and has forgiven and healed those who have been unfaithful to it, betrayed it and hurt it.

Eternal Life is the Life of God Himself. This is the divine life, the uncreated life of God, which not only is everlasting with respect to time but also is eternal and divine in nature.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me and I give unto them eternal life and they shall never persih.

We will be known as we are known. We will have eternal life with Christ. Eternal is forever, never ending. People can see you as they see you now and you can talk with others just as you talk with others now.

Imagine things as they are now except perfect; no hurt (mentally or physically), no sadness, contentment. Enjoying life, not just life but eternal life.

Our greatest enjoyment for eternity is Christ, we are His Bride!

Rev. 21:9b-10 Come here; I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb. And he carried me away in spirit onto a great and high mountain and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God….. (Rev. 21:2)

A bride is mainly for the wedding day, while a wife is for the entire life.
The New Jerusalem will be the bride in the Millennium for one thousand years, and will be the wife in the new heaven and earth for eternity, to the ages of the ages without end.

The glory of God is the expression of God, God expressed. We have been pre-destined for this glory and called to this glory (1Cor. 2:7; 1 Pet. 5:10; 1 Thess. 2:12). We are being transformed into this glory (2 Cor. 3:18) and will be brought into it (Heb. 2:10) Eventually we will be glorified with Christ (Rom. 8:17-30) and bear the glory of God for God’s expression in the New Jerusalem.

The foundations of the city mentioned in Rev. 21:14 are not the foundation that is Christ (1 Cor.21: 14) they are the twelve apostles of the Lamb. Today the church is built upon the foundations of the apostles and prophets (Eph. 2:20). Since in eternity there will be no more need for the prophets, the foundations of the holy city will consist only of the apostles. The apostles in this verse represent the grace of the New Testament, signifying that the New Jerusalem is built upon the grace of God. While entrance into the city is according to the law of God, the city is built upon the grace of God. Apostles here implies that the New Jerusalem is composed not only of the Old Testament saints, represented by Israel, but also of the New Testament saints, represented by the apostles.
(Rev. 2:14) This verse can be considered a promise of the enjoyment of the tree of life, which is Christ with all the riches of life; and the second half of verse 17 ends in a promise and a call, both of which are for enjoying this precious and wonderful Christ as the life-giving-Spirit. This enjoyment will be for eternity.
The New Jerusalem, the last major item revealed in this book, is not only the conclusion of the entire Bible but also the ultimate consummation of all the important items revealed in the Bible. The Triune God, the Triune God’s economy, Christ’s redemption, God’s salvation, the believers, the church and the kingdom are all consummated in the New Jerusalem.
