Here I Stand

I am a soldier in the army of God. The LORD Jesus Christ is my commanding officer. The Bible is my code of conduct. Faith, prayer and the WORD are my weapons of warfare.

I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity and tested by fire. I am a volunteer and I am enlisted for eternity. I will either retire from this army at the Rapture or die in this army. But I will not get out, sell out, be talked out or pushed out. I am faithful, reliable, capable and dependable.

If my God needs me I am there. If he needs me to teach children in Sunday school, to work with youth, help adults or just sit and learn. He can use me because I am there. If He needs me in church Sunday morning, Sunday night, midweek, during revival or a special service, I am there. I am there to preach, teach, sing, play, work or worship. God can use me because I am there.

I am a soldier. I am not a baby. I do not have to be pampered, petted, primed, pumped up, picked up or pepped up. I am a soldier. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me or lure me.

I am a soldier. I am not a wimp. I am in place, saluting my King, obeying His orders, praising His name and building His kingdom. No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food, cards, candy or give me handouts. I don't need to be cuddled, cradled, cared for or catered to.

I am committed. I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to turn me aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit. When Jesus called me into this army, I had nothing. If I end up with nothing, I still break even.

I will win. My God will supply all of my needs. I am more than a conqueror. I will always triumph. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Devils cannot defeat me, people can not disillusion me, weather cannot weary me, sickness can not stop me, battles cannot beat me, money cannot buy me, governments cannot silence me and Hell cannot handle me.

I am a soldier. Even death cannot destroy me. For when my commander calls me from this battlefield, He will promote me to captain and the bring me back to rule this world with Him. I am a soldier in Gods army. I will never surrender to the enemy. I will never turn back.

I am a soldier marching Heavenward, claiming the victory as I go.

Here I stand
Will you stand with me?

I am saved by God's grace. I believe that God promised to perserve in Word and has done so down through the ages and that we have His Word today in the KJV. I have been taught by the Holy Ghost and God's Word and His servants and my fellow servants. I do believe the Word of God and stand in the hedges and along the highways proclaiming Jesus Christ is Lord and repent and believe in Christ for salvation and that Christ is coming.

The Night Jesus was Born
On that night in the Judean sky the mystic star dispensed its light, a blind man moved in peaceful sleep and dreamed that he had sight.

A lonesome leaper seldom seen had a vision he was clean. When he awoke in morning’s light, he had friends well in sight.

On that night in the manger stall, slept child and mother cheek by jaw; a harlot dreamed she was safe and secure because a chosen one had made her pure.

Against the black bosomed night diamonds spangled the sky while angels announced the birth of a King.

As the light flickered against the walls, the shadow of the cross carved from the beams in the stable loomed over him and he remained under that shadow all his life.

From His loom He can fashion the fleece to curtain the couch of the dying and give dignity and peace. I won’t forsake you!

Upon the looms of Heaven He weaves the delicate tapestry of the rainbow to glisten against the rolling clouds reflected by the silver lines He laced on the green meadows. The lovely lily's He tacked on the lush green carpet against a backdrop of purple mountains piercing the turquoise sky where set afire by a blazing sun to coat a blue planet with universal light. How can anyone put limits on Him - The Just One.

There wasn't room for him in the inn - but on January 5, 1972 I made room for him in my heart.

Except one becomes a child: so simple but yet difficult to put your life in someone else's hands. Suffer the little children to come to me and forbid them not!

I feel so small and inadequate sometimes and ashamed that I haven't done more in life. There are some things that can’t be taken away. One must have a vision! Seize the day!

Well, it pasted kind of 'funny'

If you are able to do all those things you should be labeled a worthy servant.

In your statement I observe about 80 times you have used the terms "I" "Me" and "My" so I think it would get crowded if I stood with you the same way.

"He" was mentioned about 4 times which I expect refers to Christ. I am not sure if I could stand with him either. I am not capable for such a large task.

I always think that "He" stands close to me from time to time , which makes me capable of some tiny insignificant tasks , some of which I even manage to fail at.

I sometimes find it hard to follow your posts when 3 screen pages are used to say 3 words. Is there a way of shortening your signature?

Not trying to be critical , just making observations. In my life every time I have burst forth with plans of things that "I" "Me" and "My" want to accomplish I fall flat on my face. I find it humbling. When the Lord picks up the pieces and shows me what direction "He" wants me to go I am humbled even more. I make a poor soldier . Fortunately we have a good leader. He has already claimed victory in spite of our failings.

Best regards

Martin.

And we that are alive and remain will be caught up with Him in the air.................. Rapture may be a good word to describe this phenomenon.

God is Love. Why is some much 'down' and being critical?

He alone is worthy! All of us are unworthy but through Christ's salvation we have been forgiven; so, how many times should I forgive? The number is published.

But we do not have some rights; even though forgiven. By their fruits ye shall know them.

You obviously missed the point. Everything listed are things I try to do to serve Him. Which ( if you would take 5 seconds to think about ) shows that " I " put Him above myself. Seems to me that you are the one that is more concerned with yourself than serving your LORD.

I would highly recommend learning some Greek and then learning the difference between subject and object. You might also benefit from reading one of the many studies on this forum dealing with the "rapture" before it's too late for you.

I agree with jerry here there is no rapture mentioned in the bible anywhere. Ezekiel 13:20, Jeremiah 5:26, Psalms 10:9, Habakkuk 1:15, Matthew 24:23, Matthew 24:24, Matthew 24:25, Matthew 24:26, Matthew 24:27 and Matthew 24:28.

The antichrist will come trying to capture and deceive souls through false doctrine and it leads to following the wrong christ, all those who have eyes to hear and ears to see stop being deceived with this fly away junk and follow christ and fight with christ and for christ instead of the fly away fairytale.

I stand with Jesus. Christians are funny people, they want to be soldiers of Christ, but want to run when the battle comes. I will more than likey be here when it comes, Christ is my strength, He will see me through.

I recommend you learn English and quit using corrupted Greek text. Why do you not believe, "we will be caught up with Him in the air" when the Bible plainly says so.

How many years have you been reading and speaking Hebrew and Greek? Please advise. Also curious, how many languages do you speak? Known languages of this planet.

You enjoy belittling people and try to put them down and beneath you. Just answer the question above.

I have been working withe the New Testament Greek for 20 years, and Hebrew and Chaldee for about 18.

You must not be familiar with the Massorah?

Do you think Scripture was first written in King James English???????

Good response Jerry.

On a side note, what do you think of the Septuagint? I use it and find it helps with many word studies of the NT.

You did not answer the questions: do you read and speak Greek and Hebrew? How many languages do you speak? And; why do you not believe "we will be caught up iwth Him in the air".

The Massorah, Rabbinic and do take note of Greek and Hebrew text but not over sacred text.

The LXX was rejected by the first century Christians. Plus, it was rejected by the Hebrew scholars and Jewish community. The Jewish scholars of the LXX was that it was in error and non-authorative and was a poor work. That's why only a fragments were found. The LXX is not original text nor did it come from the Hebrews.

Just answer the questions; I have plenty more that I'm not asking.

This thread has been high-jacked. Please read my original post and and answer the question: Will you stand with me?

I'll give the Administrator's assertion here to respect his wishes; if ya'll want to debate something, please start another thread. It's about remaining respectful to both the OP and this community.

To get things back on track...

I'm not much of a "creed" person, so I'll simply say that I stand with God and the Word. We most likely line up on many things, but you and I both will be wrong on some things and I sense that here because I would disagree with some of what's said. Whether it be all doctrinal or not, I don't know but I keep myself free of entangling alliances where the words of man (even if unintentional) can get me into trouble. I struggle enough with my own statements.

To focus on the good and most importantly the Godly - yes this does line up that we are to be instant in season and ready at any time to proclaim the gospel via a variety of means. I just caution others that prior to going to battle a good solider puts on the armor of God, and he/she makes sure that they have the whole armor. Soldiers maintain their armor and weapons as well. That responsibility falls on us to use the instruments and gifts given to us by God.

So, to answer the question: "Will I stand with you?" I'll stand with God; whomever is there with God is whom I will stand with.

I follow Christ. You appear to be my brother in Christ. May God bless you. I'm not in your locale. Your local church can do much and I assume you are with them and they support you and you them. I would think the elders should be taken into council and an approach developed if one hasn't been already. The Trail of Blood booklets are good to give along with your testimony. Let the churches (local churches) come to a meeting of action and take course from there.

LOL Unbelievable:

I started this thread, so that gives me the right to request that it stay on topic. The topic is a statement of faith. If after reading the statement and you agree to what it says, then you agree to stand with me in agreement with what the statement says. No more and no less. There is nothing difficult here. No deep inner meaning. No hidden agenda. There is no need to analyze what I stated etc etc etc. Why is everyone trying to turn this into some deep thought provoking discussion? There is no need for it, it is a simple question. Do you agree or disagree. Get over yourselves already!!!!!!!!

I do believe 'local church'. It is established by Christ and the apostles. I'm in the battle daily and more and more as time goes by. I would like you to read my post. I published my name, I stand with Christians and am in the will of the Lord. I love the Christ and yes Satan knows who I am and hates me. His demons hate me. But, I have the love of the Father in me and belong to the Family of God and Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Now, what do you want? Do you have a specific quest to do a work for God?
