Galilee, as shown in the concordance is....the heathen circle. An excerpt from Smith's Bible Dictionary tells us.....

Galilee ~ circuit. This name, which in the Roman age was applied to a large province, seems to have been originally confined to a little "circuit" of country round Kedesh-Naphtali, in which were situated the twenty towns given by Solomon to Hiram king of Tyre as payment for his work in conveying timer from Lebanon to Jerusalem [Josh 20:7, 1 Kings 9:11]. In the time of our Lord all Palestine was divided into three provinces, Judea, Samaria and Galilee. The latter included the whole northern section of the country, including the ancient territories of Issachar, Zeblun, Asher and Naphtali.

If we lay out the site of the seven churches being addressed in [Revelation 2 & 3] on paper we see that they are in a circle, a circuit. Does this represent the world? I think so. Galilee represents the northern kingdom, ten lost tribes of the house of Israel and they were scattered by God throughout the world. They/we are what Galilee is symbolic of....the heathen circle, the circuit He sent His disciples to as well as those He was sent to find....

Matthew 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

15:24 But He answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

He was sent only to the lost sheep and He taught in Galilee. So, the literal Galilee represents the spiritual Galilee...the lost sheep!

Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Did His teaching and healing in Galilee stop after His crucifixion?

Matthew 26:31-32 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of Me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

This is addressed to us....His disciples, His witnesses, His brethren...His elect. He is there and we are to meet Him.

Matthew 28:9-10 And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held Him by the feet, and worshipped Him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell My brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see Me.

Matthew 12:48-49 But He answered and said unto him that told Him, Who is My mother? and who are My brethren? And He stretched forth His hand toward His disciples, and said, Behold My mother and My brethren!
