Believe You Receive What You DESIRE When You Pray and You Shall Have Them! Mark 11:24

John 15:7 Gives more insight.

If you abide in Me, and my Words (Rhemas, spoken words) abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you.

When we are baptized in the Spirit, the Spirit gives gifts. One of those gifts is being able to hear God's voice, either in Word of Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, or Prophecy. Interpretation of tongues is the fourth "hearing" gift of God's voice.

In 1977 when I was filled with the Spirit, that night and from thereafter I could hear God clearly. I learned to wait before praying for a need until God spoke WHAT I was to pray. I would repeat His words, and His will became my will and it would come to pass.

The reverse or perversion of that is praying your own will and expecting God to jump to attention and give it to you. Sorry it just doesn't work that way. We see in 1 John 5:14-15 that we are to pray HIS will, and His Spirit in you creates that desire in you, so you ask your will given to you by God and it comes to pass.

1 John 3:21-22 is another good verse on supernatural answers to prayer, and our partnership with God by abiding in Him. 1 John 3:24.

The only way this works and applies is when we have put the Kingdom of God first. Many people, when they pray, ask for things with no regard for the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom is run by God's will, and not by the will of man. Some things we only *think* God wants. Many things that are difficult for us are God's will. If we want to truly see answers to prayer, we must learn what God really is doing. And it isn't all good as the world sees it.
