Well the Trib period is the Day of the Lord! The term day of the Lord is used often in the OY to describe the Trib period and also in Rev. 6:
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

The opening of teh sixth seal commences what we call teh great tribulation, or the seven year period from Daniel 9.

The tribulation period is NOT the "day of the Lord". That idea comes from the Pre-tribulationalists, not from God's Word.

And if you would actually read what the events mentioned on that 6th Seal says instead of just regurgitating what your preacher said out of his own mind, then you would have realized that 6th Seal is about the last day of this world with Jesus' coming...

6th Seal Events:

Rev 6:14-17
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

That is about the trembling of this earth that is to happen on the final day of this world when Jesus returns. Paul taught about it at the end of Hebrews 12.

15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him That sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

At that point, the wicked want to hide, because they SEE The One sitting on the throne (The Father), and The Lamb (Jesus Christ). Jesus told us in Rev.1 all eyes will see Him coming in the clouds, even those who pierced Him. That does not happen until the FINAL DAY of this world which is the "day of the Lord".

17 For the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"

KJV

This "wrath" is NOT the tribulation of Satan's wrath upon God's people. Anyone who has enough common sense ought to be able to figure out that if someone says this wrath here is upon believers on Christ, then they need to quit listening to liars in the pulpits of the beth-avens they attend. This "great day of His wrath" is about God's cup of wrath poured out upon the wicked on the FINAL DAY of this world, which is the "day of the Lord". It is a day when the things of this present world are burned up, including men's works, and that was foretold by Apostle Peter in 2 Peter 3:10-11.

So how is Satan's host going to be able to keep their tribulation against God's people going when God's consuming fire burn's the works of this world time off the earth, like Peter said will happen on the "day of the Lord"???

But apparently, a lot of folks just cannot think for theirself, and always need for someone to tell them what to think and when to think it.

The Holy Spirit told me to keep my eyes on Israel...
Very wise indeed!

Zechariah 14:1-4 (NKJV)
1 Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, And your spoil will be divided in your midst. 2 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, The houses rifled, And the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 Then the LORD will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle. 4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east.

Luke 21:32-36 (KJV)
32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Hi. 20 years ago I had my own personal day(small d) of the Lord, or at least that's how it seemed to me. In reality, God was doing spiritual open heart surgery on me. However, it came on me unexpectedly, like a perfect storm. It was a very dark time for me. Like a walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I never went back to normal. I never want to. Starting with Godly sorrow and true repentance, the death and resurrection process is what has worked for me. And continues to do so. Shalom.

Matthew 24
21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.

Preterists are gonna be real upset.

The snare, is a trap.
A trap, IS intended to snag you, without you being aware, you have become trapped, until you "Are" Trapped.

People become Snared/Trapped/ all the time, for all kinds of things;
Like the Salesman who says:
"You can afford" to "Agree" to;
Spend on "credit"
To buy a vehicle,
Buy a home,
Buy a boat,
Pay for college,
Pledge to charities,
Pledge to a church,
Etc. Etc.

Those are All TRAPS...
Those are All "an other," encouraging you, telling you...you can afford to Make Promises of PAYING for something...you Do NOT have a guarantee whatsoever, that you Will Have the funds in the future TO uphold your Promise.

How to Biblically AVOID a Snare/trap?
* Know the Truth.
... Gods Truth, that you do not Become Tricked, Trapped, Snared, by Satan.

* Know the Truth.
... Your own finances. If you can not pay for THEN and OWN, what you want, don't be enticed by an other TO make promises of payments that you have no way of knowing YOU can KEEP that promise.
(It doesn't reflect or affect the salesman, it affects You).

In essence...snared, by unawares...
Is being Unaware of the Truth, that will in one respect (Spiritually) or another (secularly) Affect you Negatively.

And the urgency to Know the Truth, is primarily ... Spiritually...because that affects your whole being (body, soul, spirit) for eternity.

Secular Truth, affects you only during your short Natural life span.

Glory to God,
Taken

Well the Trib period is the Day of the Lord!

I would say:
"The Day of the Lord"...is a Particular Day, the Lord Begins a Specific Intervention, and it is Obvious, it IS the Lord Intervening.

So, I don't believe the Day OF the Lord is a Single One Day.

The Day of the Lord Divided men. (ISRAEL and Gentile races)

Battles have been won, in a Day the Lord was present.

Men have known the Day the Lord Destroyed the Earth with water.

Men have known the Day The Lord Saved men by lifting them above the Earth being destroyed by water.

Men looked forward to the Day the Lord would reveal His Messiah.

Men knew the Day the Lord revealed His Messiah.

The Day of the Lord caused More Division of men. (Any race, Faithful to the Lord God, from unfaithful to the Lord God)

The Day of the Lord (promised/ future) to reveal His Wrath, once again and Destroy the Earth.

The Day of the Lord (promised/future) to Again, Lift, above the Face of the Earth, the Saved, while the Earth is being Destroyed.

The Day of the Lord, "Again", (future/promise) punishing men "with the Earth", who have rejected Him.

The Day of the Lord, "Again", saving men "Out of the Earth's Destruction",
(future/ promise)
AND men who Turn to Him in Belief during the Earth's destruction.

The Day of the Lord, (future/promise) "Personal" wrath of the Day of the Lord. "Vengeance" upon men who:
Expressly Persecuted men ...Because of their Belief in the Lord God.

The Day of the Lord, (future/promise)
Divide and separate Holy and unholy angel's for 1,000 years.

The Day of the Lord (future/promise) Separate Saved and unsaved men for 1,000 years.

The Day of the Lord, (future/promise), Reveal The already established, Lords Kingdom on Earth, and many of His Saints with Him, while a remnant of mortal men, populate the Earth, for 1,000 years.

The Day of the Lord, (future Promise) releases Separated Unholy angels, allows them access to Earth.

The Day of the Lord, (future/promise) Saves mortals who believe in the Lord God.

The Day of the Lord, (future/ promise), UNHOLY angel's Separated From the lower heavens, the earth's surface, Saved men, Forever.

The Day of the Lord, (future/promise) Reveals the Son of man, returning to Earth with Power, To raise the dead bodies of Unbelievers, and pronounce/ carry out (separation) sentence per Judgement.

The Day of the Lord, (future/promise)
Restore/renew Earth.

The Day of the Lord, (future /Promise)
Restore/ renew Heaven.

The Day of the Lord, (future/promise) open Gods Heavenly Kingdom to Also occupy Earth.

The Day of the Lord, (future/promise), Raise all body's OF Saved men.
Judge their Works.
Burn works that did not Glorify God,
Reward their works that Glorified God.
Put them IN Gods Heavenly Kingdom ON Earth.

Future known... Forever the Saved shall occupy the Earth with their Lord God.

Future unknown... In what capacity Saved immortal Glorified men Shall be of Service unto their King and Lord God Almighty.
(But my thought is, henceforth, Every Day will be the Lords Day).

Glory to God,

And if you would actually read what the events mentioned on that 6th Seal says instead of just regurgitating what your preacher said out of his own mind, then you would have realized that 6th Seal is about the last day of this world with Jesus' coming..

I'll ignore your ad-hominems as just pre-pubescent rantings and focus on this line alone!

If the 6th seal is about the last day of the world before the Lord returns, then the Bible lies!

Here are the events of the sixth seal!

Revelation 6:12-17
King James Version

12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Chapter 7 has to do with the 144,000 and the martyrs.

Then this:

Revelation 8:1-6
King James Version

8 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

The seventh seal introduces the seven trumpets and the seventh trumpet introduces the seven vials or bowls. YOu got Jesus coming back at the sixth seal (which would be what is described in REv. 19), so are saying all this stuff which happens after the sixth seal are events that occur after Jesus returns? Scripture cite??

In Joel we find the sun will be darkened and the moon into blood BEFORE the Day of the Lord

MARK 13 [24] But in those days, AFTER THAT TRIBULATION, the SUN SHALL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON SHALL NOT GIVE HER LIGHT,[25] And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.[26] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.[27] And then shall he send his angels, and shall GATHER TOGETHER HIS ELECT from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

In Mark you see that AFTER the great tribulation the sun is darkened and the moon.....

Hi bow and Quiver. The answer is yes! And it is found in the very two verses you cited! In Joel 2 we see the sun and moon BEFORE the Great and Terrible day of the Lord.

Rev. 6:
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

And in MArk we see another blackout and blood moon AFTERWARDS!

Now I strive earnestly to let the Words of Scripture form my opinions, and based on these words (as well as many many others in the OT) , I can only conclude that there are two blackouts!

One that announces the onset of the tribulation period and one to announce the very imminent physical return of the Lord.

Whatever, as God's Word 'as written'... is what you should have focused on from the start.

If the 6th seal is about the last day of the world before the Lord returns, then the Bible lies!

Revelation 6:12-17

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Whoops! Let's not go to something else, those Revelation 6 verses about the 6th Seal need to be understood, not just passed over.

The events to occur on that 6th Seal are cover 2 periods at the end actually:
1. Verses 12-13 about the "untimely figs" idea and stars of heaven falling to the earth is about the coming tribulation, with Satan and his host of angels booted down to earth at the end, per Revelation 12:7-9.
2. Verses 17 are about the day of Christ's 2nd coming to subdue all His enemies and pour out His cup of wrath upon the wicked per the 7th vial of Revelation 16.

No.2, those are FINAL DAY events.

One that announces the onset of the tribulation period and one to announce the very imminent physical return of the Lord.

Then it's a mistake to not consider that passage in red above that is part of the 6th Seal, which means the 6th Seal is covering 2 different parts and timings.

1. Rev.6:12-13 -- stars of heaven cast to earth = the casting down of Satan and his host per Revelation 12:7-9 for the coming tribulation, just prior to the "day of the Lord".
"untimely figs" -- real horticulture about the winter fig that grows in the winter, but falls off in the spring. Jesus gave us a metaphor here at this point to show us Antichrist coming prior to Lord Jesus. That is about the great tribulation timing, not the day of the Lord timing which is the very last day of this world.

2. Rev.6:14-17 -- all these verses are "day of the Lord" timing. It is the 2 Peter 3:10 timing when God's consuming fire will burn all of man's works off the earth. It is when the earth will shake and tremble once more, per the end of Hebrews 12. It is when Jesus comes to subdue all His enemies and begin His literal rule over all peoples. It is when He sends His angels to gather His Church on that day.

So if one is going to truly let the Word of Scripture form one's opinions, the first requirement is to study God's Word and rightly divide it like Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 2:15.

Thats what bothers me. How will that day take the world by suprise? The trib period which comes before the Day of the Lord should get people to thinking and lookin into whats written. Not to mention whats being said by the churches and the people who have studied the Word.

Satan blinds the minds of the unbelievers...

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Im a bit confounded. With all thats to take place before the Day of the Lord how can you not see it coming? Am i reading this wrong? Just what is a "snare"? Not lookin to argue. Lookin for answers

Luke 21:29 "And He spake to them a parable; "Behold the fig tree, and all the trees:"

This is a parable where by people are represented as trees. Ezekiel 31:18 draws our attention that the trees are pointing to the trees of the Garden of Eden, where the tree of life is Jesus Christ; and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which is Satan in his role as the serpent. So because Jesus mentions the "fig tree", do you understand the parable of the fig tree? Jesus warned us in Matthew 24:32 "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:"

It is very important that you understand this parable of the fig tree, and to draw attention to this fig tree, Christ walked up to one fig tree and cursed it, and caused it to die instantly. Why, He wanted to show us that Jeremiah 24 was fact. There are good figs and there are bad figs, The good figs are very good and the bad figs are very bad. The subject in Jeremiah is Jerusalem, and who will inhabit it in that last days of this earth age. We are living in those days when both the good and bad figs are in Jerusalem; for Jesus went on to say:

Matthew 24:34, 35 "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away."

You don't plant a fig tree with a seed, but you plant it with a shoot. You set it out.

Luke 21:30 "When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand."

This is talking about that time when the house of Judah the good figs would move back into Jerusalem, and right along with them would come those bad figs, Satan's children, the Kenites. They would establish a nation there in the old Palestine, and this is what happened in May 7, of 1948 under the Balfour agreement of the United Nations. Most of the conflict today is the fact that the Arab nations will not recognize the Jews right to exist, and posses Jerusalem, and there are people dying in the streets of Jerusalem over that fact. This is a sign of the final generation.

The good and bad figs are there now, with Satan on His way to take charge in Jerusalem. Expect it, and Jesus said that we are the generation that shall see all the signs of the end times, before our generation comes to an end. We are fifty years into the end time generation. Most of the events of the end times are history to us living today. Those prophesies happened exactly as they were written. In "summer time" the harvest takes place, and the destination of the crop depends on what that fruit is. The point is that the good grain is separated from the tares, and the good grains are stored, and the bad tares are burned. If you think that you can play Satan's comes, and be his harlot, you will be separated at the time of our Lord's coming.

Luke 21:31 "So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is night at hand."

We know that the end time is very near.

Luke 21:32 "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled."

Above we stated this same statement from Matthew 24:34, and this is a second witness to that fact. The wise in the end times understand the season, but not the day, hour or moment, for nobody know that except the Father. The season started many years ago, so don't pay attention to the specific times, but to the events that are named in this chapter. Our generation will not pass until all these events are fulfilled; and you can count on that.

Luke 21:33 "Heaven and earth shall pass away: but My words shall not pass away."

This is another witness to Matthew 24:25. You just don't waste time studying the Word of God, because it will never change. This is the only written word that remains true through all the ages.

Luke 21:34 "And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares."

We are told to be very careful concerning ourselves, that the cares of our life don't distract us from these events that are going on around us. It is easy to let sickness, and financial problems take over our thoughts all the time, and fall away from His Word. Don't fall asleep spiritually at this time in your life. In the term: "overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness" is a medical term used for the nausea that comes after drunkenness, from where we get the Latin word "crapula" also meaning a hang-over. Paul addressed this in Romans 11, when he talked about the stupor that would come over the people. Though they are away, their eyes and mind is fixed and they can't see the truth if it was right before them.

Romans 11:7, 8 "What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded (According as it is written, "God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should to see, and ears that they should not hear"; unto this day."

The truth could be right in front of them with their preacher spelling it out, but they just cannot understand it. God can seal the truth away from someone for their own good, for it they knew the truth, and then bowed to Satan there would be no forgiveness for them. A sin done in ignorance is not accountable to the charge of the soul. Our Heavenly Father is full of mercy.

Luke 21:35 "For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth."

The "snare" is a trap.

Romans 11:9 "And David saith, "Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompense unto them: Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway."

If you were expecting a trap right in front of you, you would make sure you would not step into it, but if you did not know that snare and trap was there, you would walk right into it with eyes wide open. This coming of Satan and the deceptions that come over the earth will be very unexpected. When you hears rumors, and things happening that are drawing you to Satan, that he is here, why would you put yourself into that temptation. Those that don't know the truth of these end times will actually think that Satan is Jesus and will run to him. They will be proud to say that they are Satan's whore, though they will not word it that way. And the things that they do and say for Satan, they will be thinking all the time that they are doing it for Christ. Through their own traditions, they will set their own traps and fall right into the pit they prepared. They just did not study enough to know the difference between Jesus and Satan, yet they call themselves Christians. The trials and temptations are coming, and Jesus told you in the eighth verse; "Take heed that no man deceive you by any means." They will be coming and telling you that Christ sent them. In their minds Satan is Christ. The Holy Spirit will open your eyes as to which are from God, and those that are from Satan.

The tribulation period is NOT the "day of the Lord". That idea comes from the Pre-tribulationalists, not from God's Word.

Just wondering. Does their rapture get flushed down the toilet if the trib period happens before the Day of the Lord??

Whatever, as God's Word 'as written'... is what you should have focused on from the start.

Well given that after the sixth seal we have 7 years before His return, I agree with you!

See I read Gods Word as written, that is why I know that the sixth seal can never be an event right before the return of the Lord. also given the OT prophecies of the day of the Lord require an extensive time period beyond a day, I accept His Word as written.

I take it you have not done much OT study of the minor prophets and their prophesies of the purpose of the day of the Lord. I await you showing us all without allegorizing scripture, how you can get all the events from Rev. 7 to Rev. 20 which describes the Lords return into one day!

There is no such exegesis that allows for one verse to cover two different time periods! So you are saying that the sixth seal covers both the introduction of the tribulation and the return of Jesus? I await you showing from scripture how that can be in light of the rest of the Day of the Lord passages in prophesy.

Joel 1: 15 Alas for the day! for the day of the Lord is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

Joel 2
King James Version

2 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.

5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.

7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:

8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

Joel 3
King James Version

3 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,

Which days? context requires the Day or time of the Lord!

Zechariah 14
Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. ...

Amos 5:18-20
King James Version

18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.

19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

20 Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Zephaniah 1:13-15
King James Version

13 Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof.

14 The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

There are more. what you fail to accept is the fact that the Hebrew word "yowm" can mean day, daytime, period, era, age,

Transliteration
yowm
Pronunciation
yom day (2,008x), time (64x), chronicles (with H1697) (37x), daily (44x), ever (18x), year (14x), continually (10x), when (10x), as (10x), while (8x), full (8x), always (4x), whole (4x), alway (4x), miscellaneous (44x).
Outline of Biblical Usage Genesis 1

  • as a division of time
    1. a working day, a day's journey
  • days, lifetime (pl.)
  • time, period (general)
  • year
  • temporal references
  1. today

  2. yesterday

  3. tomorrow

So instead of trying to make the Scriptures do something they never are supposed to, we should just accept the normal usual rendering and realize the rev. 6 opens a 7 year time period defined in Daniel and exposited in the minor prophets, the synoptics, and REvelation.

Another example that people misuse:

1 Thessalonians 5:2
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

We know this cannot be the tribulation nor the return of the Lord! Why? Because when the Lord returns the whole world will know as Jesus said in boththe gospels and REv. 1 and 19! also when Jesus returns the world is not in peace and safety but absolute chaos, disorder and the armies of the world prepared to fight Jesus at His return!

Just wondering. Does their rapture get flushed down the toilet if the trib period happens before the Day of the Lord??

What makes the Pre-tribulationalist's idea of a rapture un-Biblical isn't about the concept of a rapture. It's about their idea of a rapture occurring Prior to the tribulation that makes their pre-trib theory wrong.

The word 'rapture' they use all the time actually comes from the Latin translation of the Greek word harpazo. In the KJV Bible, harpazo is rendered as "caught up" (1 Thessalonians 4:17). I prefer to use "caught up" because that's what the KJV uses, and because of how the pre-trib doctors have abused the word rapture.
