Must admit, I'm not really into them. (My wife and I are so busy, movies aren't stuff that we find time to watch.)

I do like the Left Behind films. The last one wasn't as good as the first two though.

I saw Fireproof, it was okay. Some of the dialog is stilted/wooden. It's the same with many of the Christian films. Not that I'm the Queen of writing great dialog, but when I hear bad dialog, I cringe.

Of the big budget films I love The Ten Commandments--Everything from the music to the actors--even the background actors, I like.

Most Christian movies are poorly done by people pretending to be actors and filmmakers.

It is not not a "Christian movie" but I always liked Hollywood's version of "O Brother , Where art thou" with George Clooney.

Even the secular world leaves the theater humming the Christian tunes.

Really? I loved the 3rd left behind movie. Unfortunately any sequels are kind of in limbo right now because of the whole Tim Lahaye/ Cloud 10 Pictures fiasco where Lahaye kind of sued for the rights of the movies. Basically Tim Lahaye wants to remake the movies himself, but if he doesn't make one in a certain amount of time, movie rights go back to Cloud 10 and they can start where they left off.

I could never get into the Left Behind craze. To me it was just too phony, like a Dick & Jane version of the rapture. The only Christian movies that I like are Ben Hur and The Ten Commandments. Anything made for a "Christian" audience is usually pretty boring and dull. I find this pretty interesting. Maybe we just need another Cecil B. DeMille or William Wyler to come along.

End Of The Spear is an awesome, exceptionally well done movie if you haven't seen it. Unlike many christian movies, it is well acted, well produced, and well directed, with a wonderful music score as well. It is based on a true story about missionaries. This movie made me weep. I highly recommend it.

hey now... that's not a christian movie.... is it?

Well I guess it would depend on ones definition of a "Christian movie". I thought the movie had a very interesting story line and could be used as an allegory that expresses some spiritual realties.

Things are not what the seem.

The movie really does well ( even if it's unintentional ) at communicating the difference between religion and truth.

While Neo could be regarded as a type of messiah figure, the closest the movie came to Christianity was the final episode where Neo sacrifices himself to ensure the lives and future of the remaining people on earth. That sacrifice was very different from the atoning sacrifice of Jesus, for the sins of people, which gave life by grace through the faith of the people.

I liked Final destination....................... Most would consider it a Horror movie but the movie did a excellent job of discribing mens fear of death, and the concept that once your number comes up, you have no choice but to die. It also portrays how most of the World reacts to facing death as none turned to Jesus for help.

Each character died in a strange horrible death, not once considering the Lord, but some other Wisdom of man thinking to avoid the death.

Jesus Is Lord.

The video shots in Fireproof are amazing for a film made for well under 1 million dollars. It is a little bit "Baptist" though. The Passion of the Christ is my favorite Christian movie. But I could only bear to see it once.
