All of the Apostles died. Are you saying they aren't God's people?
Their corrupt flesh expired - but they are MORE alive that YOU are.
They been made perfect in Christ - you haven't. You're still being worked on (sanctified).

Rev. 21:27 says that NOTHING imperfect can enter Heaven.

Was Moses "dead" when he spoke with Jesus at the Transfiguration?
OR
- is Moses ALIVE in Christ?

Do Catholics Talk to Dead People?
Catholics petition fellow members of the Body of Christ to pray FOR us. We ask each other here on earth - and those in Heaven.

Rev. 8:5 shows the elders in Heaven interceding on our behalf and TAKING our prayers to God.
Rev. 8:4-5 shows the Angels in Heaven doing the same thing.

Question for YOU:
When
did the souls in Heaven get kicked out of the Body of Christ?
I must have missed that verse . . .

A lot of this has to do with people that think that people are praying to the dead and talking to the dead. The body dies, but the soul does not, and therein lies the problem of misunderstanding what happens after you die. Granted Christ and the Apostles did not explain this in detail. But the Bible and Christ gave us some examples and basic explanations of what it is not.

Enoch did not die, he was taken. Elijah did not die, he was taken. Moses died and yet Christ spoke to them during the transfiguration. (Matthew 17:1–8 Mark 9:2–8, Luke 9:28–36) As I know, Mary did not die, because she has spoken to me.

Now while Christ was talking to some Sadducees he cleared up the false perception that when people pass on, they are not active or conscious. “The dead” means their bodies are dead, not their souls, and it may not be the same as being “alive” in the physical world, Christ still referred to them as the living…..

Mark 12:26-27 But regarding the fact that the dead rise again, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the burning bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, and the God of Jacob’? “He is not the God of the dead, but of the living; you are greatly mistaken.”

The scriptures don't say that we have souls it says we are souls. So if someone believes something survives death, they are disbelieving that people die and the scriptures don't say that. The scriptures show us the hope for the dead is not that something survives death but that the hope of the dead is the resurrection of the dead.

Thus says the Lord: “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

Proverbs 16:24
Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.

My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed.

Psalm 130:5
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope;

Psalm 139:13-14

3rd John 1:2
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.

My soul
Your soul
Their soul
As his own soul

Maybe they are talking about their shoes?
The bible does refer to souls as how many souls were saved or the souls in what town, but buy and large it is my soul, your soul, and their souls, or like "soul of David."

Now if it is the grammar that is tripping you up, I happen to know a good grammar teacher? Now she is heart and soul and body because we all have souls....hopefully....some of the rioters may be missing some....but that is a different story.

The saints are very much alive in Heaven. However, Catholics as well as non-Catholics should go directly to God the Father through Christ the Son. See the Lord's Prayer.

Christians should understand clearly that all the OT saints as well as all the NT saints who died in Christ are awake and alive in Heaven. Indeed they are called "a great cloud of witnesses".

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about [surrounded] with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us... (Heb 12:1)

And a witness (in a court of law) must be one who is in full control of his or her faculties, and has actually seen a crime being committed. So the same principle applies to the saints in Heaven observing the saints on earth.

Paul likens the lives of Christians on earth as an Olympics marathon, where the saints who have passed on are the spectators, hoping that each one will finish the race, and not drop out.

I heard a Pentecostal preacher once testify that he raises and talks to the dead every Sunday morning!

None of these scriptures you quoted is talking about some immaterial invisible thing that separates at death. It's so easy to take scriptures out of context to try to prove what you believe isn't it.

And those who believe that those in Heaven in the presence of Almighty God are "dead" don''t believe in eternal life and the Scripture that promises it.

Actually I do I just believe in the scriptures which speaks of the resurrection of the dead. The way you believe you call God a liar and you deny the resurrection

Read it again.
"Do those you talk to who have died talk back to any of you?"

Read my post again, NO ONE CHRISTIAN TALKS TO THE DEAD, Christians, true Christians serve a God of the living.
