Luke 24:2-3 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

The stone that was "rolled away" is symbolic of.....

1 Kings 1:9 And Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle by the stone of Zoheleth, which is by Enrogel, and called all his brethren the king's sons, and all the men of Judah the king's servants:

The "stone of Zoheleth" is...the serpent stone! Adonijah, a type for Satan, slayed, and today slays, those that love the Father on that stone.

The "body of the Lord" was not/is not found. We are His body not found in the grave. We live through Him.

1 Corinthians 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

24:12-13 Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre: and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes, laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass. And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem, about threescore furlongs.

Emmaus ~ warm baths. The "two of them," two witnesses....went to bathe in healing waters. Living water.

John 7:38 He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of His belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.

24:15-16 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus Himself drew near, and went with them. But their eyes were holden that they should not know Him.

They "communed and reasoned together" and do we on forums such as this and He is IN our midst. Have our eyes been opened or are they still "holden?" Do we understand the mystery of Him being IN our midst?

24:25-27 Then He said unto them, "O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into His glory?" And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself.

What is "His glory" He entered into? We are His glory. He appears in us....

Psalm 102:16 When the LORD shall build up Zion, He shall appear IN His glory.

Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come IN His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory:

Ephesians 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit IN the inner man;

11 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

24:30-32 And it came to pass, as He sat at meat with them, He took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew Him; and He vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, "Did not our heart burn within us, while He talked with us by the way, and while He opened to us the scriptures?"

He gives us the bread of life when we partake of the meat of the Word. He gives us His Spirit and we know Him, we understand Him....the Scriptures, the Word.

John 6:32-35 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but My Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

24:35-36 And they told what things were done in the way, and how He was known of them in breaking of bread. And as they thus spake, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, "Peace be unto you."

They told, as we are to tell, for we are His witnesses. As we speak Jesus Himself is in us. He is our Peace.....[Ephesians 2:14]

24:38-40 And He said unto them, "Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself: handle Me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see Me have." And when He had thus spoke, He shewed them His hands and His feet.

24:45-49 Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures, And said unto them, "Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."

The "promise of My Father" is.....

1 John 3:24 And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us.

11 John 1:9Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Revelation 7:15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple: and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

11 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

We are His temple and He dwells in us, walks in us today. We are "before the throne of God," we are in heaven as we walk the earth. We have been illuminated and resurrected. The stone has been rolled away.

24:50-53 And He led them out as far as to Bethany, and He lifted up His hands, and blessed them. And it came to pass, while He blessed them, He was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. And they worshipped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy; And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

Bethany ~ house of dates, or house of misery. It was situated "at" the Mount of Olives, about two miles from Jerusalem. Bethany was the home of Mary and Martha and Lazarus.

His hands, members of His One Body, were lifted up and blessed. He led them to Bethany...the house of misery, and there/here we, as His witnesses, His hands, His eyes, His feet....whatever role, whatever part of the body we are,....are to witness for Him. He leads us so far and then we are to witness!
