BRAIN WASHED BY GOD
by Gary C. Michael Aug. 3, 2002
Scripture: Psalms 51:2-19
51:2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
51:3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin [is] ever before me.
51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done [this] evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, [and] be clear when thou judgest. 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. 51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden [part] thou shalt make me to know wisdom. 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
51:8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; [that] the bones [which] thou hast broken may rejoice. 51:9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me [with thy] free spirit. 51:13 [Then] will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. 51:14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: [and] my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. 51:15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall show forth thy praise. 51:16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give [it]: thou delightest not in burnt offering. 51:17 The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. 51:18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. 51:19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.

How would you like to be brain washed by God?

Would you want Him to wash away the filthy thoughts that you sometimes think?

When ever you decide that you will follow God ALL the way, people tend to say that you are being brain washed.

Why do they say this?

Because you think that there is something wrong with the filth of prime time TV going into your mind and setting up housekeeping that affects other thoughts and produce unholy actions eventually.

They say you are brain washed if you want to eat like the Bible says we should eat.
Praise God. We need the filth washed from our brains.

God washes the filth of sin and unholiness out while the devil washes them in.

Who would you rather be washed by, God or Satan?

When God washes you, you want to do His will no matter what it is.

When the devil washes you, you rebel against God's will, no matter what it is.

When you are washed by God, you don't care what people who are not washed by Him say to discourage you.

When God washes your brain, He gives you a determination, a burning desire to do His will, and to see others saved.

Those who are washed by the devil look for excuses to make their will appear to be God's will.

I don't know about you, but I want my brain to be washed by God.

He uses the detergent of Jesus' blood to remove every stain that I will allow Him to take away.

Let us give it all to Him who is able to clean us up and to keep us clean.

Mark 7:21-23 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Proverbs 16:1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, [is] from the LORD.
16:2 All the ways of a man [are] clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Matt. 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Romans 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither [is that] circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
2:29 But he [is] a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision [is that] of the heart, in the spirit, [and] not in the letter; whose praise [is] not of men, but of God.
Hebrews 4:4-16
4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh [day] on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
4:5 And in this [place] again, If they shall enter into my rest.
4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God [did] from his.
4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things [are] naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession.
4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin. 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

John 13:6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
13:7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
13:8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
13:9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also [my] hands and [my] head.
13:10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash [his] feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
13:11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.

If you want to be brain washed by God, ask Him to do it and He will wash all the filth from your brain, but you must be obedient to His laws in order to keep it clean. Through faith and love for God and man, obey what you know to obey and God will bless you. Amen.

Hi there......Great stuff , I'm with you on this one... Only The Lord would I trust to " brainwash " me..This reminded me of time, when I hadn't been with The Lord very long.....I tried to explain the infilling of The Holy Spirit to a workmate, who promptly said to me, that it freaked him out, because it sounded like something out of the movie " The invasion of the body-snatchers "...At first it made me laugh, but when I got home, as I thought more on this, I just threw my arms up in the air and told The Lord that I was 100% okay with Him " taking me over " COMPLETELY, and to change me in any way He pleased.

We are so blessed that our loving Father has made this wonderful provision for us, and personally I am very very pleased that NOTHING of me, myself as such will survive, other than love, and whatever He has been able to transform in me, along with it.

Glory be to our Holy Father, whose love and patience is absolutely priceless, and without which we would all be lost .
