The Days of the Last Trumpet!
1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, "Peace and safety;" then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as He hath declared to His servants the prophets.
Revelation 11:3-6 And I will give power unto My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
11:14-15 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever.
16:17-18 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the Temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, "It is done." And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great,
16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

The destruction is sudden but doesn't come on us suddenly. Through the years we are inundated with deception....waves of lies engulf us as the labor pains do a woman...the woman being the church. The lies tell us "peace and safety" is promised when God's Word tells us to prepare for the tribulation.
But, this thread isn't about the false promise of a rapture before the tribulation. What stood out in the above passage as I read it this morning was....The day of the Lord comes not after the night but "in the night." In or during the night...the day comes.
My understanding is the day arrives at the seventh and last trump. But consider the "day" the trumpet sounds.....

Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as He hath declared to His servants the prophets.
So there are "days of" the sounding of that last trumpet. When he"begins" to sound and when he sounds for then...."it is done." What are those days? Who are His servants that prophesy?
Revelation 11:3-6 And I will give power unto My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. How long does the angel sound? Does it begin at the first of the 1,260 days? When does it end? Are all of those days filled with the sounding or....does the sounding end when he pours his vial and "it is done?" Does that mark the beginning of the last five months when there are (spiritual) "great earthquakes and hail?"
The day comes quietly, as a thief, in the night....during Satan's tribulation. Not when his hour is over but during his hour. The sixth and seventh trumpets overlap.
