And let me explain what I mean by that. The truth is that I don't care if you're a democrat or a republican. What I care about is when you go ahead and try to tell me that since we're Christians we shouldn't shoot and kill people, and love and accept everybody even if they're a terrorist group like BLM. When you get all preachy about it and get in my face about it that's where I have an issue and that's why I signed up onto this website in the first place because recently @historyb and I have run into that kind of issue where our freedom of speech and the right to bear arms even though it specifically states that in the US Constitution has been taken away from us. @JohnDB,.. I want you to see this too because you'll probably know what I'm talking about as well.

Are you kidding? There are so many applications for permits to get guns, the FBI says it can't keep up with processing them all; so the three days lapse, and people can get guns without the background check since the law states the government has only three days to do it in.

Spiking U.S. gun sales deluge FBI's background check system, cause delays

More Americans are trying to buy guns than ever, according to FBI data. The bureau conducted 93% more background checks in that March through July period this year as compared with the same period the previous year, when it conducted 3.03 million checks.

Background checks may have become more difficult to complete as state law enforcement and other government agencies housing records may have been closed or slower in replying to FBI requests because of the pandemic’s impact on staffing, said Rob Wilcox, deputy director of policy at Everytown.

If an FBI background check takes longer than three business days, a gun dealer can sell the firearm to a buyer, under current regulations.

Go figure. Now is that right-wing groups or left-wing groups buying the guns?

Nor do I know what you mean by losing your freedom of speech. You can have the right to free speech, but that doesn't mean someone else has to provide the platform for you. If you want a hall to speak in, rent one -- don't complain because someone tells you you can't speak in their hall for free. Internet sites also don't owe you or me a thing. You sound like a whining socialist who wants the government makes sure you can say anything you like where you like and when you like -- and companies and websites have no rights at all. If a website bans you, you can start your own. We're still the land of opportunity.

If I ran this site, I would have banned several people long ago; but I don't run this site. I don't own it, and I don't run it. It's none of my business how it's run. If I don't like it, I can leave. And if they don't like me, they can ban me. It's their site -- they have the right to ban me if they want. They don't owe me anything.

According to you, we've lost two rights in Trump's first administration. He is the President, isn't he? He's the guy with the power, right? Or is he some powerless guy without a clue that fiddles while Rome burns? Who does nothing except give speeches as our rights are taken away?

I don't get it, really I don't. Trump supporters say they love him so much, but then they whine about how things are going. Huh?

Modern Liberalism has gone further and further left, and many are leaving.

I chock it up to nievity, trusting our leaders has allowed them to be manipulated in the direction of socialism. Trust the government to take care of you... They want our cities to burn.

Surely by now it is clear liberalism has set itself against God.

I can't blame President Trump for the interference he has encountered from the opposing parties. It's a wonder he has accomplished this much.

What interference did he have in the first two years? Both houses of Congress were controlled by Republicans.

Any President is going to get opposition. If you want to get things done, you need to learn how to compromise at times. Complaining about the opposition and blaming the party not in power really doesn't cut the mustard. If Trump can't handle the opposition, he shouldn't be running again.

Trump also helps create unnecessary opposition by making nasty personal remarks when the smart thing to do would be keep quiet. He doesn't know how to calm people down -- but he sure knows how to wind them up.

Do you remember how Trump said Democrats were politicizing coronavirus? They were creating a "new hoax," he said. Here he is back in February attacking Democrats for creating a hoax and bragging about how well he was handling things. How can you reason with someone who says things like this?

He also said how China was on top of things and keeping him informed. Later he said the opposite and blamed China for the virus, calling it the "China virus." He attacked WHO over it as well. The Chinese must be looking at him and saying, "How can we cooperate with this guy?"

I read that the Brits gave up trying to negotiate a trade deal with the US for now. While it would have been good to get one signed as fast as possible, they gave up on it. They are probably hoping Biden gets elected so they can get a trade deal without unnecessary conflicts and dragging of feet.

Ever notice that when things go right Trump takes credit for it, but when things go wrong he always blames other people? That's his personality type -- and I tell you if you ever meet someone like that, I think it's smart to avoid him or her as much as you can.

Just so everyone knows,.. I am far from being a socialist and in that video posted I'm pretty sure that Trump was saying how everybody overreacting to the Coronavirus and making up numbers to scare people was a hoax, not the virus itself.

You may not be a socialist, but you have leanings in that direction if you think internet sites don't have the right to regulate content on their sites, and that it's a violation of your free speech if they do.

The number of cases is going to be worse than predicted. People scoffed at the number 200,000 by the end of the year. We're almost there now, and it's still only September. He was saying it would go away on its own, don't worry about it, it would probably be gone by April. Who was pulling the hoax?

I don't care so much of the content that they choose and not choose to put on their websites,.. but it should at least be constitutional. That's all I'm saying and wow big surprise that President Trump doesn't know everything. How many of us predicted that the virus wasn't all that serious to begin with or that it would be long gone by now? I know I did.

I don't know what you're talking about; but to be sure, you and I are not arbiters of what is constitutional -- we have courts that decide that. You were complaining about your loss of free speech -- now you seem to be switching to something else. Do you want the government to run every website and tell them what they can and cannot have on it? You want the government to start shutting down news media the way China and Russia have?

It's good to have opposition. If you don't have opposition, anyone in office is tempted to become a dictator. Anyone.

Presidents aren't elected to day dream and make charmingly optimistic predictions. They're supposed to be prepared for what comes down the pike.

And besides, we now know Trump knew Covid-19 was a big deal. He admitted it to Bob Woodward. He's on tape saying so. But publicly, he pretended it wasn't a big deal. He said he didn't want to cause a panic. You know what really causes people to panic -- when they don't know what's going on and they feel they can't trust what their leaders say. You don't cry fire in a theater most of the time since it would start a panic; but if there is a fire, you don't pretend there isn't one since you don't anyone to panic. You tell the truth.

No,.. no,.. no you misunderstood me. We didn't have the right to call BLM what they really are because there may be certain snowflakes offended by that. We can't talk about shooting in self-defense. All of that goes against the US Constitution since we should have a freedom for that kind of political speech. As far as the thing with Trump goes,.. I believe that his heart was in the right place.

You seem to want other people to pay the bills so you can say what you want. I suggest you start or buy your own website so you can say what you want. You could have all the free speech you want -- if you were willing to pay for it.
