When my kids were little and told me they were bored, I would tell them it was because they weren’t doing what God wanted them to be doing.
I can't say my kids complained about boredom much. They amused themselves very well and were very creative. We always found things to make us laugh ...laughter is good for the heart. :)

For the most part, my kids did the same. I’m the one complaining of boredom now.

...
My L knee and R ankle both have severe arthritis setting up in them from rampant overuse. I had to see the orthopedic surgeon about them. ...

I don't know about your knee, but I suspect that BOTH our right ankles are damaged due to an Occupational Injury ( -- I have no "reflex" when tested --). It seems it wasn't getting my foot up the kids derriere, my problem was getting my foot back with the shoe still attached. -- And now I'm paying the price ...

The pandemic has given many more time than they know what to do with. I've been doing this for 16 years. Most of it alone. The shut-down hasn't changed much for me. For the past 7 years, the Lord has led me through the internet. Being here is the most fun I've had in a long time. I'm not complaining. Everything in God's time.
My son and daughter-in-law are going fishing for salmon tonight. I went 2 years ago and was having fun until I had a few seizures. I think it was Lupus doing it. I wasn't bored then.
I just listened to a man of God through whose ministry God met me powerfully. He's retired. He's in his 80s. I heard his testimony for the first time. Encouraging. Inspiring.
Jesus is my hero. Here on earth, Donald Trump and Howard Ellis are my heroes. And the faceless millions who serve God day in and day out with no recognition, except from our heavenly Father. To you, I tip my hat. Blessings.

All of it. I have a pasta roller that I’ve never used. Maybe now would be a good time for me to learn how to make fresh pasta dough.

Pasta
@ 3 eggs
1# semolina flour (you will need more than this)
2 tsp olive oil
S&P to taste.
Mix all this up and let it rest for 8 hours. (It's hard work. Use a dough hook if you have a very heavy duty mixer. (1½ hp)
Then if the dough is too wet when running it through the pasta machine then add some more semolina as you are working it up...if it cracks too much then don't.

But run it down to about a 2 for the tops and a 1 for the bottom.

The filling is anything that is leftover around the fridge. Chicken, sausage, cheeses to make a thick thick paste highly seasoned...you can go crazy with the seasoning...but you want it very moist and already cooked. I've used pesto to season the finely chopped meat fillings. You don't want any air bubbles in the ravioli when you lay the sheet on top. (I use a ravioli frame) I also use a thin egg wash (beaten egg and water) to glue the two layers of pasta together.

No air bubbles and no holes in any of the ravioli or you will not like the results.

Then you only cook them for about 3-5 minutes in the rapidly boiling water.

Then I usually just toss them in butter and some garlic I boiled in the butter I'm going to toss the ravioli with. (Saute pan tossing)
The fillings are too numerous to even begin to list.

But remember that if an ingredient is in it it needs to be providing flavor. Chicken fat and pork fat work...beef fat don't.
Olive oil is ok as an ingredient for a filling but it floats...

Ravioli should sink. And then have a neutral buoyancy in salted water when done right.

For me, it has been a good time to get plenty of rest.

For most of the world before the pandemic, many were trapped in busy-ness, and then the world came to a stand still and has allowed a lot of us to rest.

I hope nurses, doctors, supermarket workers and posties will get a well deserved rest soon as well.
