Then God is being very active killing people in volcanic eruptions, forest fires, tsunami, Covid 19, global warming etc. The superstitious ancients put everything down to God, but the killing of nation by nation is undeniably human.

Broken, fallen creation. Went from paradise to thorns and thistles. We are all subject to this world and it's evils. The spirit in the evil people is what drives them to do evil. "We fight not against flesh and blood..."

Our lives belong to Him, He is just in all His ways and His thoughts are way higher than ours. "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."
Proverbs 14:12

They ARE Gods children, but they are disobedient, and neither should we take our lead from them. We know that from the remnant. They always have been disobedient. We should be evangelizing them and leading them to Christ. Except I know it is an impossible task.

It won't be impossible in the last 7 years before Jesus comes.

Just follow Jesus, that is all we need to do. We are on the wrong thread and it is my bedtime, night.

Romans 11:26-27 (NKJV)
26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
27 For this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins."

Forgive me please, I don't have the first clue what 'barrow' is, let alone what it means. And I'm not familiar with 'narf', etc. It could be that I don't understand the culture of these forums, but I'll learn.

Spurgeon's Girl,

It's a ...
Slang definition of Push Your Barrow

It comes from Cockney and east-end London slang used in the street markets, in the 18th to earlier 20th centuries.
It's a slang term that was used by men selling their goods from a large barrow; usually 4-wheeled; in London, UK. The term "pushing your barrow" means that you are pushing your own ideas, or pushing your own business.

You are doing your work of "developing your personal interests of making money". Or, you are pushing forward YOUR idea, or pushing YOUR business to the front.

The expression seems to be adopted around the world to mean pushing your own ideas.

My post to someone else about when the soul is imparted might offer an alternative.

The first comment is in reference to the question of when the soul is imparted. I would agree that baby lives matter at 21 weeks - as per the graphic- as this is the time when I think it most likely that a soul is imparted.
Prior to that point - not so much.

The question here however is not only about when the soul lands but where it came from prior to landing .. and where it goes after.

So 3 questions

1) . .. at what point during the process of creation of the human structure the soul will inhabit that structure ... my guess is around 21 weeks .. the time when cognition and sentience arrives ... as the wiring of the brain nears completion - the brain lights up like an xmas Tree .. and I like Xmas .. so .. seems a good point :)

2) where did it come from prior ? answered in 3)

3) where dies it go after. My two answers to the forum ballot are A) Other B) Heaven

Here we have a number of choices depending on what one things heaven is .. but for this argument let us assume that heaven is some nice place where the soul goes to inhabit for eternity.

But - what if - while in heaven - I want to go on a vacation - return to some planet and live another life.

God grants me the pass – and I go to live another life. The condition being however – that while living the other life – you will not remember your past life.

After that life is done – you will bounce back to heaven again – do your consigned allotment of Hail Mary’s and Ahmen’s .. and then go on another vacation.

So clearly both questions are now answered .. and my hope is that your concerns for these - as it turns out not so innocent souls vacation plans - are allayed - at least somewhat.

Thank you! Sometimes, I'm embarrassed to ask. You made it easy. God Bless

I have read it in context. Have you?

Lets put Acts into context:

Acts 1:5
for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Acts 2:38
Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:41
So those who welcomed his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand persons were added.

Acts 8:12
But when they believed Philip, who was proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Acts 8:13
Even Simon himself believed. After being baptized, he stayed constantly with Philip and was amazed when he saw the signs and great miracles that took place.

Acts 8:16
for as yet the Spirit had not come upon any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 8:36
As they were going along the road, they came to some water; and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water! What is to prevent me from being baptized?”

Acts 8:38
He commanded the chariot to stop, and both of them, Philip and the eunuch, went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.

Acts 9:18
And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and his sight was restored. Then he got up and was baptized,

Acts 10:47
“Can anyone withhold the water for baptizing these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?”

Acts 10:48
So he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they invited him to stay for several days.

Acts 11:16
And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

Acts 16:15
When she and her household were baptized, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come and stay at my home.” And she prevailed upon us.

Acts 16:33
At the same hour of the night he took them and washed their wounds; then he and his entire family were baptized without delay.

Acts 18:8
Crispus, the official of the synagogue, became a believer in the Lord, together with all his household; and many of the Corinthians who heard Paul became believers and were baptized.

Acts 19:3
Then he said, “Into what then were you baptized?” They answered, “Into John’s baptism.”

Acts 19:4
Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus.”

Acts 19:5
On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 22:16 And now why do you delay? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.’

Sooooo the beginning of Acts starts with water baptism. The middle of Acts talks about water baptism and at the end of Acts it talks about baptism washing away our sins but your theory is that mere water is NOT salvific????
