I actually wanted to create a thread for this because @Josho and (my daddy) @JohnDB are currently making me laugh with how they're getting excited for Christmas already. News flash, tomorrow is only the first official day of autumn. (At least here in the states) I haven't even carved my pumpkin yet so let's not turn into Santa's little helpers yet!! :p

I've already started...
I've got a bunch of butter in the freezer already.
Soon I'll be loading up on chocolate and sugar and flour and other ingredients for the cookies and candies.

I'll really get going after Halloween.

And then there's the fever pitch stuff for Thanksgiving.

And after Thanksgiving it's full production mode. Gotta find the suit though...I've been growing my belly and beard. It's going to be awesome.

I haven't taken my Christmas lights down from last year - there's always that one guy in the neighborhood, right?

well, I am just offering my neighbors a service in 2020 - something benign to complain about.

You're welcome

I'm making lots of plans and purchases already for Christmas.
An 11lb brick of fine belgian semisweet chocolate.
I found butter on sale the other day....grabbed 8 lbs.
I found chocolate chips on sale today...
Grabbed 6 pkgs of them.

Lots to go and do yet...lots and lots.

Thousands of pieces of fine truffles and thousands of cookies don't happen by good wishes and "shoulda's". They happen by carefully and meticulously shopping and stocking up on supplies and planning.

I've seen big 25# bags of flour and sugar at my local Kroger. Gonna relieve them of those here very soon.

Got surplus booze from last year...might make some more Gran Mariner JIC.

But I still need to candy a bag of orange peels. (That can be done soon)

Caramel needs butter and cream...

Dried cherries....kinda pricey but I'll need 5# like usual.

Coconut flakes...need a few pounds and some almonds...

Turtles need whole pecans.

White chocolate!
Need to find a 5# bag of pieces like I did last year.

White chocolate chips...
Macadamia nuts
Cashews
Mint chocolate chips
Cocoa powder
Ginger bread spices...
Raspberries?
Blackberries?
Blueberries?

Butterscotch
Oatmeal
Peanut butter
