Here's the <point> Jesus, made, HIS conclusion, HIS statement, telling Thomas and not the other disciples, "29Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen ME, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."
Now WHERE DID Thomas "believe"? Where he HAD not YET, "SEEN" Jesus RAISED, but had seen Him The Risen from the dead CHRIST AND LORD MY GOD:- IN THE SCRIPTURES AND "believed" yet had NOT seen the raised and risen Jesus in ESSENCE of "flesh and BONE" YET-- "THIS SAME JESUS YE CRUCIFIED WHOM GOD RAISED" : "ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES".
Not according to the totally depraved minds and imaginations of madmen, a Jesus who was of "flesh" that was no flesh but was flesh which supposedly had no blood, just "BONE" and therefore was / is no real "flesh" by any means! For such a Jesus would not be the Christ and God in "ESSENCE" or "bone" (like Eve was in ESSENCE made from Adam -- of his "BONE", so that "man and wife they were one" AND OF ONE BLOOD AND FLESH!
First thanks for the reply, second, the body that was raised is not the body that died, it was changed by the power of the resurrection. Luke 24:36 "And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you."Luke 24:37 "But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit."Luke 24:38 "And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?"Luke 24:39 "
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have."Luke 24:40 "And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet."Luke 24:41 "
And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?"Luke 24:42 "And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb."Luke 24:43 "
And he took it, and did eat before them."Luke 24:44 "And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms,
concerning me."Luke 24:45 "
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,"
well these saw, and handled and touched the Lord Jesus, and still did not believe, but until he ate. then they were glade.
NOW, Thomas and the rest of the disciples,
John 20:19 "Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you."John 20:20 "And when he had so said,
he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord."John 20:21 "Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you."John 20:22 "And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:"John 20:23 "Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained."John 20:24 "
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came."John 20:25 "The other disciples therefore said unto him,
We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe."John 20:26 "
And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you."John 20:27 "Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side:
and be not faithless,
but believing."John 20:28 "And Thomas answered and said unto him,
My Lord and my God."John 20:29 "Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast
seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."
so Thomas faith came by believing, but only when he "saw" him, but the other saw, and touch and didn't believe. so all of you who want to put Thomas down, well get off his back he had more FAITH than many of the disciples with him.
because of what the two men on the road to Emmaus said, Luke 24:35 "And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread." until he ate, not seening, or touching was suffice, but when he ate, and the way he ate. BINGO, just as the men on the road to Emmaus had their eyes opened, and they knew him. it was by his action that they knew him.
Now as to the body that the Lord Jesus had
scripture, 1 Corinthians 15:35 "But some man will say, How are the dead raised up?
and with what body do they come?"1 Corinthians 15:36 "Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:"1 Corinthians 15:37 "And that which thou sowest, t
hou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:"1 Corinthians 15:38 "
But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body."1 Corinthians 15:39 "
All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds."1 Corinthians 15:40 "There are also c
elestial bodies, and
bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another."1 Corinthians 15:41 "There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory."1 Corinthians 15:42 "
So also is the resurrection of the dead.
It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:"1 Corinthians 15:43 "
It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:"1 Corinthians 15:44 "
It is sown a natural body; it is r
aised a spiritual body.
There is a natural body, and there is
a spiritual body."1 Corinthians 15:45 "And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit."1 Corinthians 15:46 "Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual."1 Corinthians 15:47 "The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven."1 Corinthians 15:48 "As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly."1 Corinthians 15:49 "
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly."1 Corinthians 15:50 "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption."1 Corinthians 15:51 "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed,"1 Corinthians 15:52 "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed."1 Corinthians 15:53 "For this corruptible must put on incorruption,
and this mortal must put on immortality."1 Corinthians 15:54 "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."1 Corinthians 15:55 "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?"1 Corinthians 15:56 "The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law."1 Corinthians 15:57 "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."1 Corinthians 15:58 "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."
