...ask God what His agenda is ...if that’s what He wants it will happen....but, if as in the OT ..He is waiting for ‘the nations’ cup to be , full before He moves... then none of those things will happen.

At this moment of time, where the world is concerned, God seems to have ‘folded His hands.’

Just my two cents ;)

Here's an article which puts things in perspective.

Will America Die Or Thrive? An Open Letter To The American People

Jake Hoffman

2020 isn’t a normal year and it certainly isn’t a normal election. You see, normal elections are marked by Democrats attempting to buy votes with an endless array of government handouts, freebies, special interest priorities, or any number of other big government promises.

Historically in a normal election year, the Republican message has been focused, in large part, on simply counter-messaging the Democrats’ false promises. In the past this has left Republicans appearing milquetoast and created a scenario where the Democrat-controlled media could force national Republicans into a defensive position, rendering them poorly equipped to offensively control the narrative.

But 2020 is not a normal election year. 2020 is about something so much more than “winning” an election. The stakes are higher than they’ve ever been before and we all know it. We can feel it.

At its core, 2020 is about protection. Sadly, it’s about protecting the American people from Democrat riots, looting, and violence, not to mention the attempts by countless Democrats all over the country to defund our police departments. And while 2020 is literally about protecting our communities from political violence, it’s also about protecting our freedom, opportunities and prosperity.

After nearly a decade of Democrat rule under the Obama-Biden administration—an administration wrought with feckless, uninspiring leadership, economic stagnation, and apathetic, if not non-existent, national aspirations—the Democrats have spent the last three and a half years doubling down on their strategy of division. Day after day, Democrats have sought to make the American people feel weak, unimportant and unexceptional.

2020 isn’t a normal election year because the American people are fed up. This election is about being inspired again. It’s about being aspirational once again. It’s about believing in the greatness, benevolence, diversity and strength of the greatest nation on earth. It’s about a great American revitalization.

The lines have never been more clearly drawn. 2020 is the battle between freedom and socialism. Law and order and anarchy. High quality education for our children and highly politicized education. Protecting life and celebrating the destruction of life. A patient/doctor focused healthcare system and a government micro-managed one. Lower taxes and higher taxes. Justice for all and double standards for the favored elites. American strength and American subservience.
2020 is about protecting and preserving the American dream for generations to come.

This election cycle, Americans are looking for leaders like the greats of generations past—the Kings, the Reagans, the Lincolns—who will speak boldly, who will speak truthfully, and who will speak inspiringly about the nation that we love so deeply, while helplessly feeling it slip away.

COVID-19 has taught many of our fellow countrymen that even those leaders whom they thought could be trusted with the duty of protecting them can no longer be relied upon.
The onslaught of misinformation and outright lies from a media fixated on the destruction of the one man standing between everyday hardworking Americans and the jackboot of government has taught many to question everything and believe nothing.

Yet despite the growing cynicism, Americans want to be united in a common purpose, a common cause and a common spirit of exceptionalism.
Amidst the chaos of the events of this year, and as we watch the election unfolding in front of us, it is imperative that we reflect and remember our history. This nation was divinely inspired and it will be divinely revitalized.

Just like Esther in the Scripture, our founding fathers were placed in their exact time and place in history to do God’s will and found this great nation that has done more to achieve peace, opportunity and prosperity for the world than any people since God spoke this earth to life. So too, God has placed each of us—each of you—in a time such as this to do His will.

God has gifted each of us with the exact skillset necessary to speak boldly, truthfully, and inspiringly in these dark times. God has called each of us to preserve and defend the freedom and liberty with which He has bestowed on the people of this nation.
As we answer His calling in the coming days, do so with the passion and conviction that comes from knowing you are on the winning side of history.

The American people—our families, our neighbors, our coworkers, our fellow countrymen—are looking for leaders who will defend us from the uncertainty, chaos, mayhem, and turmoil that seems, at times, to surround us.

America needs leaders who will steady the waters and remove the clouds of despair Democrats have created for their own selfish, political gain. It’s up to you, everyday Americans, to be those leaders.

It’s up to you to keep America free. To keep America prosperous. To keep America safe. To keep America strong. And to keep America great for this generation and the next.

2020 is not a normal election year. Failure is not an option.

I'm sure many people will be greatly inspired by this message. They will believe America is great... Exceptional... And that American people are special and chosen. A great motivational speech that will do no end of good for people's self esteem and pride. That sees political enemies as someone to be vanquished and rebuked.
And it's the exact opposite to the gospel, which I see absolutely no evidence of in the whole message.

I agree. Speaking as an American and as a political Independent, I deeply yearn for better presidential candidates than Joe Biden and Donald Trump. I'm still undecided at this time, to be honest. I don't particularly want to vote for Joe Biden and I'm not voting for Donald Trump. As an Independent, I've been relatively conservative whenever I vote, but my attitude and personal view of conservativism has drastically changed.

If religion put into political interest, then whosoever doeth this will encounter the devil's influence because the motives was not related to God's nature but their motives is money (Mammon).
They were all connected to each other, politic is only an evil deception drama.

Each of religion, there are weeds and wheat in them. In catholic there is a weeds and wheat, so does within protestant and other religion also. So, don't be fooled by statement to equalizing of those religious based sentiment and hatred, whosoever doeth the generalization propaganda of other group is influenced by demons.

What Americans seem oblivious to is the religious direction the nation is heading. Both the Pope AND evangelical leaders are proclaiming that the separation of church and state is demonic. Americans by and large are being deceived by the leaders into believing that a union of church and state is the nation's only solution to the moral decline of the nation. They are telling everyone that there is no such thing as a separation clause. That the founders had no intent for the church and state to be separate. One day soon, and I see it taking shape now, the constitution will trampled underfoot (figuratively speaking) and the state will act in subservient obedience to the church. The question then becomes, which church? And in legislature in the states the greater majority is held by people who believe the bishop of Rome has the precedence over the constitution, and they are now being supported by Protestant pastors of all shapes and flavors seeking a union with Rome and a denial of the reformation. How many Americans are taking these things into account when voting? How many Catholic jurists on the supreme court? Who appointed a Catholic AG? Another concerning trend is the embrace of visions and dreams (ala George Washington...a known Freemason whose god is Lucifer) as a sign of America's future victories over threats. I see a dangerous trend in American Christianity where salvation is not so much deliverance from sin through faith and obedience to Jesus, but deliverance from circumstances, be it political, financial, or social.

Right-wing Conservatism and Evangelical Christianity have been bedfellows and joined at the hip for a long time now. I think it's been much worse since Trump showed up on the political scene during the 2016 presidential election. I use to lean more to the right than the left as a political Independent, so I hope the Republican Party can be salvaged after Trump is gone. I hope it'll recover from the damnatory effects of Trumpism. Admittedly, I'm wary of the possibility that its recovery will take years or the damage of Trumpism will be irreversible. I'm notably concerned that the Republican Party will be forever associated with Donald Trump and it'll never be able to revive its honorable reputation.

Hi, Seven of Nine, mind if I call you Seven of Eleven?? (I know it's corny, but that's my only Star Trek joke. Made it up myself.)

I'm just curious about what you see as the damnatory effects of Trumpism.

There will be no cure for Covid 19.
Anyone who try's to destroy others property or harm another has to be dealt with directly and the media has to be held accountable for fanning the flames in regard to aiding and abetting all the morons, as does the Democrats do have to be exposed for being total morons in all this aiding and abetting nonsense, because they are using typical tactics that the Nazis and Communist used to create delusions over the people.

Evangelical Christianity is rubbish Christianity from what I have seen of it in the last 20 years say. it's not about Jesus Christ at all, it's about a so called Jew worship religious dribble that is in fact Anti-Christ, they are seeking another so called Jesus, that's why they rant and rave about the 2ed coming is all that they have to look forward to, because they have no faith in Jesus Christ in fact, so they are looking for another.
I see Trump is grovelling to one type of group of Jews that created Capitalism and support such and the Democrats are totally under the power of the other totally Godless Jews the ones who created and supported added the Nazis and Communist too power.

One can start talking about all the different types of denominations of so called Jews but it all become like climbing up a greasy pole, so I just point out like I have done above, of two main groups in the septic tank of clearly Godless worldly carnal morons that are "of this world".
What I have seen of Evangelical groups is that they only support the so called Jews. they are just about recruiting people with carnal dribble rubbish about the Land is Israel, it's all idolatry of mans works clearly.
The Land was never Israel as only the People could become OT Israel and when Jesus went to Heaven then one could become a NT Israel and that clearly truly means a truly born again Christian, not to mention the fact that Jesus Christ is the King of Israel ! so who does one serve ? fact is if one does not abide in the Vine of Jesus Christ you are Lost and are on the path that's going to Hell, because you are carnal, doing the works of man.

No offense, Backlit, but I wish I was as much an expert on what Americans think as you are (and some of the other dern ferriners on this forum). I mean, I could write a book and make a million. You're kind of overgeneralizing, don't you think?

Seven of Nine is fine. It was a toss-up for me between her and Jadzia Dax when I was thinking of a ST handle to use here.

Concerning your inquiry on the terrible effects of Trumpism, I've been keeping track of how Trump's Christian supporters are being perceived by unbelievers and by other Christians, such as myself. In fact, I've been paying attention to this since the 2016 presidential election. The most prominent examples are his Christian supporters are being denounced for deserting their principles and exhibiting moral hypocrisy. I can provide you with plenty of news articles that will perfectly substantiate my point of view. I've personally done some extensive research on this issue.

Ah, you missed my joke--Seven of Eleven, you know, 7-11, the convenience store? I guess it's a really bad joke if I have to explain it. :(

Please don't take the time to post any news articles, unless you just really want to. I've heard quite enough of what the MSM is saying and don't find some of their reporting to be accurate. And then there's the vitriol. It just gets old. I appreciate the offer, though.

Right-wing Conservatism ? I believe Conservative is truly a central position in reality, but yes I understand it's become what one could describe nowadays as Right-wing under the shadow of Socialism today would be how it's expressed. not to mention that such are not truly conservative but may play the conservative on one hand and the right-wing issues on the other.

Here in Australia our major Right-wing party has been working totally against the conservatives as do the Left totally, they both have worked to undermine the conservatives from the 1970's, this struggle has been going on within the right-wing party's and the left got rid of their Conservatives values in the 70's.
In QLD the major right-wing party had it all in the bag by far if only they took in the Conservative party's who were forced to jump ship, but what did they do, they went and handed it to the Socialist on a Silver platter, they were truly thumbing their nose at Conservatives saying here we want you Socialist to rule, it was an act of total spite of Conservatives who are not the enemy of right-wing policy in general, but such people can not stand Socialist. but the major right wing Party has become more Socialist and Anti-Christ in it's values in fact.

The major right-wing Party will play the conservative line like MP Abbott spiel but it's truly only a front, because he never acted on any such in reality at all, he would just fall in a heap when it came to sign a deal. so we were just being fed a line only for such to fail. but what would you expect from a Jesuit, as that's how they roll.
