God couldn’t care less about what day you worship....
We Strong Christians who are not “ weak” know that God’s True Sabbath is manifested by worshipping God every day of the week ....God wants us to REST or “ Sabbath” in the Finished Work Of The Cross....pray that God grant you the Power and Wisdom to abandon the Baby’s Table and get you some “ Meat” over here at the adult table....
Yes, we know. Us-and-them.

There, I've managed to offend the Calvinists and the Catholics in one fell swoop, lol! It's not my intention to offend anyone, however.
Don't forget. Calvinists came out of the Catholic Church. But you have indeed managed to offend a huge number of people unintentionally. That's called the Law of Unintended Consequences.

I'm a direct descendent of Mrs. White. IOW, I've spoken at length with people who knew her personally. You might want to keep that in mind if you're truly trying to influence me.

I met her g-granddaughter in California. Interesting that she wasn't a SDA.

Unfortunately, it's quite common to see entire generations leave the church. There's a vicious anti-Adventist over at CF who managed to round up all but one of his adult children and leave. He goes by Bob S. :(

Curious thread. The main theme being persecution. We have Catholics, non denominational, evangelicals and one or two others, and Adventists. Like I said, curious. Curious that an admixture of mixed Christians all speaking a different language and in doctrine no doubt in disagreement, all of a sudden were completely united in favor of rebuking the Adventist. And some of them pretended not to favor ecumenism. And all this without any motivating factor from a global catastrophe as the OP suggested would be the catalyst for unity resulting in persecution against those dissenters not agreeing with their agenda.
Like I said. A curious thread.

What a brilliant defense of you position! Of course, no Scripture to back anything up...I got the entire chapter of Romans 14......What verses do “ you” have to offer?
It wasn't meant to be a defense. I was merely observing your shining example of the xenophobic tribalism that is taking over the western world (especially the U.S.). IOW, you're acting like a bigoted jerk and should probably be next on my <ignore> list, since all you have to offer is negative and insulting tripe.

Quite revealing, isn't it? There is a subset of evangelicals who can't resist targeting Seventh-day Adventists. It is largely due to the information glut of the past two decades. One can Google "Adventist" or "SDA" and get just as many (if not more) ant-Adventist web sites as they can official ones. The complaints are always about what we believe or say and never about what we do or don't do. 20 years ago it was much milder than it is today. You would think we were bona fide terrorists. We prefer to obey God rather than man, in a way that does no harm, and encourage others to do the same. That is our crime.

Scenario:

A massive, catastrophic disaster brought about by natural causes has struck the earth. Hundreds of millions have been killed or severely injured and every part of the world has been impacted to no small degree. The powers that be are now united, as will often happen under these circumstances, and have reached the consensus that we have angered God to an amount we never thought possible, and that some gesture of repentance must be made to Him. Since it has been suggested before by the religious figures of the west so many times and is practical enough to be feasible a national Sunday law is urged and passed, but the disaster and suffering continue, so the rest of the world decides to follow the lead of the U.S. and now the observance of Sunday as a day of rest and worship is world-wide. This "revival" produces very little real reformation. Hearts are not truly changed. It is very quickly apparent that some religious minorities will not cooperate with the new laws and continue to keep a different day of rest and worship. Some people have reported miracles in response to the new laws and a few have even been caught on camera. Yet the minorities remain stubborn in their positions. A call goes out to prescribe severe penalties against the offenders who refuse to violate their consciences, while the dead and dying steadily increase.

Upon what side of the issue would you find yourself?

if worship of God is within, in Spirit, a turning of the heart and mind, how can man take away John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

what God gives no man takes away ...My peace I give unto you. John 16:22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

Frustrated then because why ‘if you take away our day of the week set aside then how will we worship God?’ Is it not to be ‘follow after the Spirit’ every day of the week, not just one? But seven.

What If Real Religious Persecution Came To The U.S.? ...Bless those who curse and hate you, despitefully use and persecute you that you may be called the children of God? Mark 10:29-30 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, [30] But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

one more question is what do you mean by ‘if real religious persecution came’ ..’real persecutions’

There was a poster some time ago who came and was so offended, cursing the whole forum and its members because they were not following all the laws and ideas he laid out and the more others posted, the more puffed up riled he became saying ‘you are just persecuting me.’ So we have this idea everyone is persecuting us for our beliefs, like God said they would which validates us as doing what is right yeah? Interesting you used the word ‘real persecution’. Do not know if I’ve ever been persecuted for doing what is right and good. Been persecuted plenty for doing what is wrong and evil. Reaping what I sow.

so do you mean ‘real persecution’ for doing good and that which is right? Or persecution we bring on ourselves by doing that which is evil? Malice 1. (n.) Enmity of heart; malevolence; ill will; a spirit delighting in harm or
misfortune to another; a disposition to injure another; a malignant design of evil.

Romans 8:7-8 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. [8] So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

I would support a person's freedom to worship any day they choose. God would never punish people over worship on one day versus another.

P.S. that scenario would never happen.

We don't need to make up hypothetical scenarios to find Religious Persecution in the US .. it is happening right now.

Religious extremists in this nation have been persecuting people for many decades .. trying to force extremist - non-biblical - beliefs on others through physical violence (Law)

Some examples would be Prohibition and Abortion.

There's no scenario in the world that would work for outside religious persecution to exist in America.

Except one.

And you all have spent the last 7 pages of replies proving the one way it will happen. (Notice I didn't say might...I said will)

Nowadays the best way to conquer a nation isn't with foreign soldiers and guns...it's with technology and to get the citizens of a nation do it themselves.
It costs money...but no where near what an actual war does.

Several practice runs have already been run...and it's been an astounding success to say the least.

Myanmar was completely changed and unaware of how to stop it until it was way too late.

But you might not be familiar with that campaign...but you definitely would be by another campaign that really destabilized Europe. (Which was the goal)

BREXIT.

It was a complete coup of sorts that was created and promoted by social media. It wouldn't be a surprise if some sort of racial campaign was started as soon as the American Election is over and the rescources are then diverted again towards Europe.

Yes, social media campaigns and the algorithms that drive you to stay online by "faked" profiles of "fellow countryman" who are using VPN and proxy servers to drive opinion has been solidly documented. And most assuredly they are there to change the way you think. The AI knows how to get you addicted while foreign influencers pour tons of rhetoric into your brain.

Russia and China being chief among the guilty...but they aren't the only ones. If they were the only ones it would be so clear and easy.

Some people crave power and fame...which in internet terms can easily equal money.

Televangelist have been using these techniques for decades. Guess what? The rest of the world has caught on.

So when a group like BLM appeals to so many felons who try to believe that "it's not my fault" for their crimes that gives them a scapegoat the felons flock to them in droves. Again aided by social media that has them thoroughly addicted while filling them with rhetoric they wish to hear...

So here we have the SDA who have a prophecy about a war with the rest of Christiandom, the Protestants at war with the "godless" Catholics...the prideful Calvinists who are sure that Arminians are the bane of all Christiandom...

And let's not forget that Moslems see Christiandom as the Great Satan...and Atheists who see all religion as very problematic you now have the making of an internal war within a nation that will bring it to its knees in a short amount of time. Leaving it weak and vulnerable and needing help.

And ya'all have proven my point in this.

Interesting reconstruction. I get that a lot. The answers to all of your questions are in the OP.
