Does anyone remember when Trump said it meant he was "smart" if he didn't pay any taxes?

Ah just saw that it will be on tonight US time, the powers back on, but I will be at work anyway.

Currently in Aussie Eastern time, it's nearly Wednesday. :p

I take a different view. Someone who can't take care of himself is probably not someone you'd want to trust to take care of the American people. I've given homeless people a place to live -- they needed my help. Now if they learn from their experiences, they could become very productive citizens. Their past history of misfortune could be a plus. It could motivate them to help others.

That's very true I'm sure. I like Trump, but he is a business man at the end, and he injured the food programs across the country which ensure that people and families get to have food on their tables. I don't think he has the proper perspective on welfare programs. I'm not a fan of the rioting and like how Trump handles that. And he can, being a business man, put the country's affairs in order perhaps.

And that matter of being successful, is a God given gift I believe, something he doesn't give everyone. Or luck of chance, or human aggressive behavior in monetary interactions with others, which shows a selfish nature.

And people that have had to get by without much are much more thrifty and perhaps would be better in a government situation rather than the rich that tend to end up on the tickets.

But I do see your point, there are many homeless that are unworthy to lead anything, including myself (not homeless, but also not a leader).

And I agree, the tax law is there to be used as incentives for certain spending, or offset tax penalties on losses. If one wants a tax break they plan their business strategy accordingly to not owe as much.

Who pays the government more voluntarily ? It is a black hole.

I woke up to watch 9/11, I guess I'll listen to this debate.

Yeah but 911 was a tragedy that should have never happened in my opinion so it's quite a bit different from the debate. I also wanted to add for the record as a person I can't judge Biden since I never met him. I'm not even making fun of his mental illness. The only thing I'm making fun of is how mental it is to have him for a canadate. I mean the guy has been in office for 180 years which is even before my grandparents were born. What has he accomplished since then?

Biden is also refusing Trump's challenge that their ears be checked for microphones before the debate.

I'm not watching. But, I'm sure I will hear all about it by the Left and the Right.

Well this guy is over a hundred and eighty years old. He should definitely know how debates work by now since he was there when Lincoln got sworn in.

I'm worried they are pushing Biden too hard, and he will crash and burn. Then when they realize the election is already lost before it is held... riots.

Me too, thanks for getting that Thomas Rhett song stuck in my head btw. Oh and the fact that I'm following you now means I know you enough that I have decided to make you my friend. :)

I'm glad to see Biden standing up to Trump and refusing to be riled up by Trump's insistence to pick a fight with him. All he needs to do is just be patient because Trump is more than capable of damaging his own reputation. As the old adage goes, "Give a man enough rope and he will hang himself" and that's honestly true with Donald Trump. The more he speaks, the more he shows his true colors. He's the perfect example of "by their fruit you will recognize them" because he has demonstrated throughout his life that he's the living epitome of Galatians 5:19-21.

... Isn’t it quite viable ...

Guilty 'til proven INNOCENT? -- Sounds FAIR to me! :)

And so we have the TRUE GUILTY who go unaccused, unprosecuted, and unpunished.

He also has Casinos in his Trump Towers.

And YOU DRIVE A CAR, which emits GREEN HOUSE GASSES, so out of ALL the DRIVERS IN THE WORLD, we're going to pick YOU out of that crowd and ACCUSE YOU AS AN EXAMPLE.

For your information, Casinos ARE LEGAL IN MANY STATES!

Crazy people ...

Whoa hold up I wouldn't go that far. It still should definitely be innocent until proven guilty.

Gambling is legal in most states...

Between lottery tickets, online gambling, and casinos on Indian reservations...I'm not sure where gambling doesn't happen.

Gambling isn't really gambling though in my humble opinion. It's basically begging other people to please take your money.

I know right...

I tell guys that I know who are planning on hitting the casinos that if they give me half the money they were planning on gambling with I'll kick them in the testicles and tell them they are a winner because they will only lose half their money this way....

No one has taken me up on it so far...

... Trump's insistence to pick a fight with him. ...

Yeah, I think it was TRUMP who threatened PHYSICAL VIOLENCE against BIDEN:

In March 2018 Joe Biden said, "I would have "beat the hell out" of Trump ...

during the 2020 Democratic primary, he [Biden] began challenging voters who challenged him. He called an Iowa farmer a “damn liar,” for example, then challenged him to an IQ test and a push-up contest.

Biden tells the voter he’s full of “sh-t,” wags his finger in his face, and when the voter complains, he suggests that they go outside.

‘To gun owners out there who say, well, a Biden Administration means they’re going to come for my guns,’ Cooper asks. -- ‘Bingo, you’re right if you have an ‘assault weapon,” which is his term for AR-15s.

Joe Biden Threatens Physical Violence Against Trump Again, Says: “He’s the Bully I’d Smack in the Mouth”

In October 2016 Biden threatened to take candidate Trump behind the gym and rough him up.

What an idiot.
