You can see the heavy mineral deposits in this "plumbing" at Laodicea. And the map shows the river...(cold snow melt)

"Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?"

but see every one says something different. Could say take no thought what you will eat, points to eat of the bread of Life which is from heaven ...laboring not for the bread which perishes. And take no thought of what you shall you drink, points to the Living water where one ‘drinks’ and never thirst again, but is a spring of Living water springing up unto Life. Could say ‘Wherewithal shall we be clothed?’ Points to time and time again ‘cast off, put off the old man and put on the New man ...not that you be found unclothed but found clothed upon in Christ.

Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you

same. Could say ‘and all these things shall be added unto you’ by ‘seek you first the kingdom of God’ the focus being what things are added by seeking His kingdom and reign? 2 Peter 1:4-11 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. [5] And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; [6] And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; [7] And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. [8] For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. [9] But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. [10] Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: [11] For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Could also say Paul spoke of being hungry and naked, but also of faith in while being hungry and naked the Lord stood by Him. Could also say Romans 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

Luke 2:45-49 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. [46] And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. [47] And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. [48] And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. [49] And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

Not trying to be argumentative. Not with you. It is just frustrating. The mixed message even ‘be not slothful in business, fervent in Spirit’
Colossians 4:12, James 5:16, 1 Peter 1:22-24, 1 Peter 4:7-10...could also say there in 1 Peter 4:7-10 ‘be you sober and watch’ is not drink no literal alcohol until drunk, which again just an opinion but the focus of ‘be you sober and watch’ being not about how much alcohol is the limit but ‘Be sober and watch.’

Heard ‘and these things will be added unto you’ as food to eat and drink and literal clothing. Never heard it as: if these things are added, received of God, you will never be unfruitful nor barren but abounding in Christ. Who gives us all things to enjoy. Acts 2:25-28 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: [26] Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: [27] Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. [28] Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

Again for the sake of conversation...that above being read at funerals. when our son-in-law died suddenly in his early thirties, they also read it at his funeral and although I’d heard the above passage countless times, that day it meant so much more. Every word.

‘a time to break down, and a time to build up;‘ Galatians 2:18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

not sure what you are saying. Are you saying what we are to seek and be clothed with is not the new man restored after the image of God. That what we are not to seek after, and drink of, is not Living water. Or that we should not eat the bread which come down from Heaven, the same bread in ‘give us Lord our daily bread’? And seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you: faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, brotherly kindness, and charity.

Are you saying that has no truth but is instead false?

‘your season will come’ no, do not understand what you mean. Can you elaborate what you mean by ‘your season will come?’

Hebrews 11:25-26 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; [26] Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

Matthew 13:20-21 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; [21] Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while(a season): for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

all that you want out of life will come in time. listen, Psalms 37:4 "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."Psalms 37:5 "Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."Psalms 37:6 "And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday."Psalms 37:7 "Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass."Psalms 37:8 "Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil."Psalms 37:9 "For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth."Psalms 37:10 "For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be."Psalms 37:11 "But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."

sorry i was busy reading something else. no, listen.
Romans 12:1 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

understand now?

understand, what I don’t understand: it seems like a scolding or correction and that is the part I do not understand. That is why I asked for a yes or no on: not to fret or be anxious over what you will be clothed with asking is not what you will be clothed with is the new man? Or drink...God has provided Living water. Or bread...God has provided the bread which cometh down from heaven. Or seek and all these things will be added...could list them again or list the fruits of the Spirit. Only saying or asking as a brother ...when this world says you lack because of the outward and constantly says there is no contributing or value ...is not the above a blessing and God should be thanked for the above clothing(the new man), food (bread) and what to drink(living water). Not sure, value your input but not sure, as the ‘but listen’ is getting confusing. When it could be no, and then let’s share why. Or yes, and let’s share why. Not arguing theology but how to survive when (do not understand but there comes as time) when no man can buy or sell expect those who have the mark ...if it is all about money, worldly increase, clothes on your back and food in your mouth ...if there be a lack of those things then has God abandoned us and took away His blessing of increase?

one scripture, Matthew 19:26.

PICJAG

hopeful. You have helped and find comfort in your words above as His words in John 5:30-38 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. [31] If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. [32] There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true. [33] Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth. [34] But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved. [35] He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light. [36] But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. [37] And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. [38] And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

‘He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice’ in his light.’ how reassuring then ‘the works the Father has given Me to finish’. Stands out (imo) is the ‘you were willing for a season to rejoice in his light’ with Matthew 13:20-21 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; [21] Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

‘yet has he not root in himself, but endures for a season’. Didn’t he tell them ‘He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice’ in his light.’ With ‘Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. [38] And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.’

hopeful John 15:7-9 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. [8] Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. [9] As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue (remain, endure)ye in my love.

thank you @101G. Not saying it has to say the same to you but thank you for working through it with me.

And seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you: faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, brotherly kindness, and charity.

Are you saying that has no truth but is instead false?
@VictoryinJesus The Scriptures can be so apt on such sad occasions. Was your sad loss recent? so sorry if it was...
