I'm tired - very tired of Christians.

I've been slowing down for a year or so. Lost my enthusiasm. For talking about thngs Christian or Biblical.

My enthusiasm for practicing the Presesnce of God has increased 100 xs.

I don't know why people believe in the Old Testament. Even Jesus' Words are in part.
We know so little and what we do know even He said at His last supper - I have so much I want to tell you, but you
can not bear it now. You can not grasp it
-after 3 years!!! And seeing Him tranfigured even, walking on water - still so much more
they weren't ready for.

I'm going back to being simple - no more Bible- hanging onto the few directions Jesus left me to follow and
going back to being where I was when I first opened the Bible, I just didn't have Christian words for what I was naturally doing - I was much
happier not knowing Christians then.
Abiding in Him, loving myself and my neighbor, stomping on my ego, ceaslessly praying, never worrying, relying on Him in ALL things, expanding my awareness to feel Him.

This Bible stuff - lots of it is nonsense to me, then the debating is even more nonsense to me, then the divisions on who believes in the KJV or some "translation". All the concepts, dogmas, blockades, rigid thinking --"their way or the highway.."

The little that Jesus left me - I'm taking in my heart and running away from Christians and their dogmas ---why, this morning I
got an email "The Church says such and such.." As if I care what "the Church" says about the Immaculate Conception.
So much made up stuff. This woman's so rigid in her beliefs she lives in actual fear.

I don't care anymore about churches, pastors, the Bible....God is Love, that's all - He Loves us and we ackowledge Him in all our ways - that's it - Love Him back and all His creatures...do the best you can and learn from your mistakes and delight in Him.

I'm closing my Bible.
And closing my eyes.
And going within to the Kingdom.

Way to encourage someone giving up their Bible JerryJohnson..........

If she takes Maxx though, it might not be so bad............

Miss Hepburn, I don't know exactly what your talking about, or what this immaculate conception is all about, Change churches, get some fresh air. Don't stop reading the Word of God. Your bible is your friend.

If you want to be part of a forum that has no fighting, and disagreement with anyone is discouraged, and people get banned then leave me a message. I can't join you on that forum as I have been banned twice.

I'm tired - very tired of Christians.
1 John 3:14 - We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death.
1 John 3:16 - We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

I'm going back to being simple - no more Bible- hanging onto the few directions Jesus left me to follow
You should strongly reconsider! How are you supposed to spiritually grow without allowing God's word to feed you? How are you going to remain separated from the world when you don't constantly soak in the words of life within the gospel? Without the word, how are you going to fight against the evil one who is constantly trying to discourage you and separate you from God? Especially in these days!

Everyone seems to agree that God's word is infallible...meaning it is truly His word. However, even though most people admit that the bible is truly His word, they seem to not agree that it is sufficient. Is His word sufficient for you? If you believe that it is truly His word then why would you not believe that His word is sufficient to instruct you in your life on how to act, speak, look and so on.

John 8:31-32 - So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

This is why the parable of the seed in Luke is so important.

Luke 8:11 the seed is the word of god, not mans word or any other of mans traditions. The seed is gods word

Luke 8:12 the Devil comes and robbs gods children of the natural truth. If you let that happen miss hepburn thats exacly what will happen is satan will lie and deceive you and take the word of god from your heart if you beleive his lies. Thats his full intention is to lie to people and put them in a fairytale world where evrything will be wondefull. All problems solved evrything in life is perfect........just beleive my little lies and evrything will work out for you

Luke 8:13 these people hear the word but when the first sign of testing and temptation of faith comes they give up and try another religion or try another church, open the living word and talk to your father hes the heart knower and knows you and evrything you have done and will do in your spiritual walk

Luke 8:14 these people are the ones that over indulge in big houses and cars and boats, these are the same people that worry when there next paycheck will come. When there next meal will be. What does there boss think of jesus is he atheist is he buddhist is he into taoism or hinduism. They take all this time and concern worrying if there going to offend anyone by teaching gods word or offend anyone of a diffrent religion or denomination that has been lied to all there life.

Luke 8:15 these are the people who hear the words and act on them, these are the people out there in the streets getting there feet wet and talking to the homeless about christ, talking to the hungry that have never been fed gods word.

Beleive the scriptures when they tell you that there is a time to come that people will fall away, people will be deceived and will be robbed of the truth but you have to dig into the bible. You have to dig into gods truth and gods mery and love in the bible. Some people will fall away but some people will hear and some people will have there eyes opened spiritually.

That being said i want to close with a prayer:

'father be mercifull on this child give here the strengh within your word to do all things for all people if it be your will. Father open this childs eyes to your natural truth and love of your word. I ask these things in jesus precious name amen'

Most of my "best" and most productive christian moments are when I am far away from other "Christians". Funny how that works. Christianity becomes so much simpler again.

I will assume that you mean when you separate yourself from everyone and you are alone with God. I agree. Sometimes we need to go somewhere where no one can get to us where we can be alone just us and God.

I can see why you would say that your tired of Christians; unfortunately, many Christians today do a horrible job at representing Christ -- there are so many factions, and everyone claims that his way, his interpretation of the Bible and what it means to be a Christian, is right. It can make one feel confused. There is a line in a Christian song which states, "People aren't confused by the Gospel; they're confused by us." So, in a sense, it's good that you would want to leave that.

However, I encourage you -- no, actually, I IMPLORE you --- not to throw away your Bible. If you've read any of it, you know that Jesus said "Your Word is Truth." You can throw way the different "voices" of Christian interpretation and theologies, but do NOT throw away God's Word. What you should do is read His Word to see what or who is right -- to see what HE thinks; no one else's interpretations or theologies matter, but God's truth matters. I know you would rather spend time in God's Presence and be "simple," as you put it; but if you don't read the Bible, you will not grow in Him. Sure, He can speak to you without the Bible, but you won't get very far, because you won't know enough of His Word. In Hebrews 5, the Hebrews had "come to need milk and not solid food"; they had not grown up in God (verses 12-14). Paul admonished the Corinthians "Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in
understanding be mature" (1 Corinthians 14:20). When Jesus told His disciples that they would be persecuted and that they would have to stand trial for their faith in Him, He said that the Holy Spirit would show them what to say; one translation says that the Holy Spirit would bring to their remembrance what they were to say -- they would remember what Christ taught them. But how can we be reminded of something that isn't there to begin with? Reading the Bible helps us to grow in God. The Bible commands us to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." It doesn't lightly suggest this; it commands this! When we first become Christians, the excitment is there; we delight to be in the Presence of God, listening to Him, talking to Him, etc. But we are not to just stay there -- that is a good place to be, but it is only the beginning! We need to progress in Him. I had an analogy come to mind: in school, children are taught the very basics at the beginning; the first lesson/book that they receive is geared toward their understanding, hence it is basic. As the child progresses through school, he will learn more and more; many times, each new lesson will expound on the previous lesson, adding more details, to create a firm foundation of learning. Reading the Bible is a lot like that. What would happen if the child said, "I don't understand this! I'm not going to go any further!"? He would know only as much as he has learned up to that point, no more. Likewise, with the Bible, if you read the Bible and say that you don't understand it so you're not going to read it anymore, you will not gain any more knowledge in God. God promises to "fill us with the knowledge of Him," but we need to be doing our part by reading His Word to obtain that knowledge. Using our analogy, what would happen if the child said, "I don't understand this! Teacher, can you please help me to understand?" Of course, the teacher would gladly spend the time needed with the student until he understands the topic. Just as a
teacher helps his student when he asks for help, so God helps His children to understand His Word when they ask for help. If you say, "God, I don't understand this! Please show me what this means," He will! In the Psalms, David prayed, "Open my eyes, that I may see Wondrous things from Your law" (Ps 119:18). God is so MUCH more than Love; He is GOD, and He wants to give us everything good. Going to church doesn't make one a Christian, hearing a pastor doesn't make one a good Christian (though I believe the RIGHT pastor or church is complimentary to one's walk with Christ); but obeying God does. I strongly encourage you to keep reading your Bible. It doesn't matter if you don't understand everything; God will give you the understanding if you ask. It doesn't matter what anyone else's theologies say, it only matters what God says. But in order to know what God says, you need to read the Bible and keep it in your heart. If you
throw it away, you don't realize how much it's worth -- what people all over the world would give to have even one PAGE of the Bible! They have an excuse -- they don't have a Bible. You have no excuse (and I say that as kindly as possible); you have His Word. If everything fell apart and suddenly you're Bible was gone, what would you know? Would you care? I hope and pray so. I would also suggest that if you have any questions about the Bible, ask. If you don't ask, you won't receive. Jesus said, "Ask and you shall receive that your joy may be full." If you are really fed-up with being confused over what is right and wrong, just ask questions, listen, and then open your Bible and decide according to that. Don't be afraid to ask questions. We may all have different answers, but rest assured that each of us here want to help you in any way we can. And you never know when that one answer will come along that will be just what you're looking for. God can use people, you know; we just have to be careful who we listen to and judge everything according to the Word of God. If you don't want to ask any of us, ask God -- He has the answers to everything.

One last thing -- if you really want to know why people believe the Bible, research the reliablility of the Bible. There is so much evidence to support its authenticity, historicity, and infallibility. Don't let the stumbling blocks of "doctrines" and interpretations stop you from searching for the truth. The Bible says, "Seek and you shall find." But if you stop seeking and you haven't found, then you won't find, because you're no longer searching. Searching is not just excepting where you are; it's "digging" to find what you're looking for. Proverbs gives the analogy of someone searching for a buried treasure; you know that he isn't just half-heartedly digging if he believes that the treasure is there! Don't lose heart!

Blessings,
Rudy

Anyone have Cliffs notes for Rudy's post? Miss Hepburn, boy do I feel like you sometimes. I don't blame you one bit. Jesus has set the bar so high, that even sometimes I say to myslef, "The Robster, who are kidding bud?" Its a tough walk and sometimes when I read the Bible I ask myself, why some of the Scripture sounds like fortune cookies sayings. But when I feel that way, I give pause and think about all the incredible findings in microbiology and astronomy and I get refocused. I think to myself how awesome today's discoveries by man are and in this complex book called the Bible, we have the author to it all. But that's what sobers me up and gets me back on track.

You know what Brother Mike...it almost sounded like a "going away" message there at the end. But I just figured she was being melodramatic to add a little impact to the post. I hope that's all it was.

Hi James.

Yes , that is pretty much what I meant.

I was trying to indicate to miss Hepburn that I knew what she meant by saying ..... "going within to the Kingdom"

To be more specific , the kingdom is around us and within us and partly experienced by us at times , but it is as though we have to detach from others (Conflicting Christians) to get there sometimes.

Even closing up the bible as she mentioned. After all an open bible has no value , a bible simply being read has no value , it is only when we have retained internally (what is in the bible) that we have true value. Reading carefully her post I think she understands Christianity better than many.

That is how I interpreted her post. If I am wrong I hope she corrects me.

Thanks
Martin W.

Ha, ha! Very funny... Tell ya what: you want the notes, check out the Bible! ;) Actually, my mother calls me a person of many words! LOL!

Has anyone heard from Miss Hepburn yet? I do hope she comes back...

Believe it or not, we're a lot of like. In the real world I use a lot of words to answer questions. On the internet, I'm all about brevity if possible.

Miss Hepburn is a funny gal. She has some good one liners. :D

When Jesus says "the seed is the Word of God" is he referring to the written word ( the scriptures), The spoken word (divine utterances from God like prophecy, word of knowledge and word of wisdom) or to the Word of God, Jesus, Himself?

I think I share your assessment here Martin.

John 5:39&40 "You search the Scriptures because you believe they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me! Yet you refuse to come to me so that I can give you this eternal life.

Miss Hepburn has been posting buddist philosophies for some time now.

Buddhism is not welcome on this site. I dont have a problem with one choosing whatever false religion they choose but i was once into buddhist philosiphy about three years ago and i can tell you now buddha has nothing to offer you compared to the living god. Buddha did not die on the cross nor did he have any dealings with christ while christ walked the earth. I will close here with Colossians 2:8 concerning buddhism and evry other religion that hates christ dont trust them..................dont follow them and if your into them and want to get out accept christ as your savior and rebuke evry fowl teaching and evrything out that goes contrary to christ life and blood shed on the cross for his sheep.
