Mathew would not agree with you?

Matt 1

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Isaiah 7:14 was written long before Messiah was born. Literally, there was a child born in Isaiah's day. He was a prophetic foreshadowing of Yeshua. It is not a matter of whether Matthew agrees with you or me, it's a matter of whether we agree with Matthew.
The Lord says: "These people come near to Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. Their worship of Me is based merely on human rules they have been taught." Isaiah 9:13 NIV

All Catholics are born again

No, I don't think so.

Many are steeped in religion and have no relationship with Jesus.

Some place their faith in Mary as some kind of co-redemptrix and therefore they do not place their trust wholly in Jesus and what He did for them on the Cross; which is an essential for salvation.

Others practice necromancy in praying to the dead.

Did I just open up a can of worms?

For this reason you will consider this to be a hit and run.

I am simpky posting this and am going to let the chips fall where they may.

To say a child was conceived and born of a Virgin requires a miracle of God and only applies to Mary and Jesus

Yes, you did open up a can of worms with false accusations and appalling ignorance about Catholic teaching.

The gospels clearly mention that Jesus had brothers and sisters. "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this Man get all these things?" (Matthew 13:55,56). And again: Then His brothers and His mother came, and standing outside they sent to Him, calling Him. And a multitude was sitting around Him; and they said to Him, "Look, Your mother and Your brothers are outside seeking You." (Mark 3:31,32)

Mary was a virgin at the conception and the birth of Jesus, her first-born son. However, the perpetual virginity of Mary is not taught in the Bible. This belief is an invention of human tradition.

The Virgin Mary

We've been all through that in another thread.
Scripture does not say that these "Brothers and sisters" were Mary's children.

Hi mailmandan,

If it is so clear then why have biblical scholars been disagreeing about it for 500 years? Why do you accept the 500 year tradition and reject the 2,000 year tradition?

And do you believe that Jesus is the carpenters son? And the son singular f Joseph Jn 1:45 or of the HS Matt 1:18

Also these children are not the children of Mary but another Mary

Jose’s, Simon Salome are children of another Mary!

Mk 15:40 There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
