Most Christians agree that the woman (Revelation 12) represents Israel in the end times. And most Christians agree that the 144,000 (Revelation 7, 9, 14) are individuals which also represent Israel in the end times. Now, I know that this subject is a little more complicated than I am about to make it, yet, there is a certain simplicity about it that Christians miss.

Could it be that the woman and the 144k are one in the same. And if they are one and the same ( unless there are more than one Israel), one can interchange the 144K with the woman (in the parable of the woman and the man-child) and get a better understanding of the role of the 144K.

Revelation 12: 6And the woman /(the 144,000) fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Revelation 12: 14And to the woman /(the 144,000) were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

So basically, the 144,000 will flee to “a place prepared of God” for the 1260 days of the GT.

The first mention of the woman in verse one is certainly not "endtimes," as she is "with child," as seen in verse 2. This was the woman just before Jesus was born. These 5 verses is God showing John what the devil did when Jesus was born; trying to kill him back then. But the woman in verse 6 and 14 is definitely Israel during the 70th week, or "Jacob's trouble."

The 144,000 are only a small part of Israel, "firstfruits." So no, they are not the same, although both "Israel."

Hi Guy,

I think the woman (her seed/those of promise aka "Israel" as in followers of Yahweh who obey his commandments and believe in Yeshua) represents the believers in Yeshua, and among them will be the 144,000, who will in a sense be the "leaders" of the rest of us, if we are chosen to survive the GT and not be beheaded in the persecution. We need to study the story of the Exodus and Yahweh's feasts to get full understanding of these things. Here is an interesting article on this same topic: lionlamb (dot) net (slash) v3 (slash) YAVOHHeisComing (slash) 2009 (slash) 07

Hello Liz,

You stated: We need to study the story of the Exodus and Yahweh's feasts to get full understanding of these things. Here is an interesting article on this same topic: lionlamb (dot) net (slash) v3 (slash) YAVOHHeisComing (slash) 2009 (slash) 07

My response: I agree. Paul stated that the events which happened in Israel's past have been documented for those endtime saints as "examples," that there are going to be common occurrances.

1 Corinthians 10
Warnings From Israel's History
1For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. 2They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea.
11These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come.

It is my understanding that the Bible contains catchwords which tie different events together. In this case there is a catchword which is common with the story of Exodus and Revelation 12. That catchword is "wilderness." And what happened in the wilderness in the past? God protected Israel with a column of fire and a pillar of smoke, and He provided them will manna for food.

I believe, based on 1Corinthians 10, that God is going to once again protect the inhabitants of Mount Zion with a column of fire and and pillar of smoke.

Isaiah 4
The Branch of the Lord
2 In that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of the survivors in Israel. 3 Those who are left in Zion, who remain in Jerusalem, will be called holy, all who are recorded among the living in Jerusalem. 4 The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion; he will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire. 5 Then the LORD will create over all of Mount Zion and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night; over all the glory will be a canopy. 6 It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain.

In Revelation 12, it states that the woman will be protected and "nourished" for the duration of the 1260 days of the GT.

Revelation 12
6And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Is it not possible that God is going to restart the flow of manna just as He provided for Israel in the wilderness?

Revelation 2:17
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.
